Specialize in Jamaican dishes upon request and agreed extra charges... The NeighborhoodIdeally located in Central Suffolk County, convenient via car to the North and South Forks of Long Island. Many beaches, wineries, farm stands, and cultural attractions nearby Quiet Streets, Large yard, very private. 20 minutes from Stonybrook University/Hospital. 15 minutes from Downtown Port Jefferson Harbor. 30 minutes from North fork wineries. Driving distance to south and north shore beaches. 30 minutes country driving to Tanger shopping outlets in Riverhead. 20 Minutes from SmithHaven Mall. 30 minutes to Splish Splash water park. Getting AroundLocal Cabs are available Walking distance to Bus stop. Five minutes drive to Port Jefferson train station and Ferry to Bridgeport, Connecticut. Lots of fine dining and cinemas. Other Things to NotePlease note all summer weekend bookings from June 1 - October 15 have a minimum two night stay.     The SpaceBi-lingual household (Spanish and English), open and friendly to all walks of life, quiet and domestic couple with tons of local knowledge. The space is a futon-turned-bed, and there's a heavy curtain that closes the space for respectful privacy. Guest AccessLet us know, and we'll try to provide. Just be respectful of our space and the fact that this is our home. -Wifi -Bathroom/Shower -No laundry, but there's a laundromat nearby -Garden during the summer (work in progress, but there are veggies) -Cable TV in guest room Interaction with GuestsWe're really just here to provide a comfortable, easy, and efficient place to stay so you can further explore the area. We're not the greatest at entertaining, but we do know how to provide a comfortable environment to feel at home and rested for the next day. But please don't hesitate to ask questions or if you need help getting around. The NeighborhoodThe location, in itself, is not much to write home about, but it's really easy to get to other great places! The neighborhood is like any middle-class, suburbia neighborhood, quiet and not too interesting. Walkable, though, and peaceful. Getting AroundThere is a bus depot 10min walking distance from the house, and a few lines cross by the house throughout the day. Let us know where you want to go, and we'll help you get there. If coming from the city, easy to pick you up from Ronkonkoma, Patchogue, or Port Jefferson LIRR Stations. 15mins to Fire Island Ferries 50mins to the Hamptons 50mins to North Fork 20mins to Riverhead 10mins to Port Jefferson 10mins to Patchogue Other Things to NoteNot the Taj Mahal, but also not the pits. Just a normal, clean, easy place to stay.

          The NeighborhoodThe apartment is located in a condo-type community, in a fairly rural town in Long Island. I just moved here so I'm only starting to get familiar with all the best local restaurants, businesses, and sight-seeing spots, but I've listed as many as I can -- check out the guidebook for places to visit, and I'll be updating them with time!
