Surrounded by lush vegetation and in the heart of the rich coffee country of Colombia, this chalet has 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a pool and houses up to 10 people. It is equidistant from Bogota and Medellin about 110 miles from each. With a nearby guard, the chalet offers a safe, comfortable way to visit all the nearby tourist spots. Aside from the many bedrooms, it has a living room and dining room, fully equipped kitchen, 3 bathrooms and parking for several cars. To boot, the chalet has green areas for children, a little pond filled with small fish and a table for games. One of the most thrilling aspects of visiting this region is the so-called “Coffee Axis”, classified by UNESCO as being “Patrimony of Mankind.” Beyond the eye-popping coffee region, this area offers an opportunity – not to be missed -- to witness nature at its most exuberant: from bamboo forests to amazing flowers to a wide variety of wildlife. This home is located 10 minutes from the Coffee Park, 20 minutes from Panaca and 15 minutes from the center of Armenia. The temperature oscillates between 64 and 72 degrees Fahrenheit, being warm all year long. A great eco-friendly place for the whole family to visit. Aside from the many bedrooms, it has a living room and dining room, fully equipped kitchen, 3 bathrooms and parking for several cars. To boot, the chalet has green areas for children, a little pond filled with small fish and a table for games. One of the most thrilling aspects of visiting this region is the so-called “Coffee Axis”, classified by UNESCO as being “Patrimony of Mankind.”

Buy groceries and supplies here, lots of supermarkets and street vendors. Since everything needs to be carried down by hand, we cannot provide any supplies on site (a direct access road is in the works...) When coming for the first time it is easier to take the 4PM Jeep which takes you to the top of the hill Once here you can go in and out with hourly jeeps and 1/2 hour downhill walk (except for Tuesdays and Thursdays) Take the jeep going to GRANADA at 4PM (or 6AM) with an extra jeep at 12PM on week ends) COST 6 000 Pesos Per Person Get off at the sign LAS MIRLAS aka Natalia's Go down 150 meters, Pass in between the 2 houses Follow the trail down another 200 meters. You're here You may also charter a private jeep at anytime during the day until 5PM Cost 40 000 Pesos for the whole jeep Other Things to NoteBring all the necessities, groceries, condiments you will need to cook in the fully equipped outdoor kitchen (electric burners, pots and pans, cookware, grinder....)

It is a quiet and a safe place, friendly and authentic people, coffee growers living their normal life in their own farms. THE ENVIRONMENT: Located in the most beautiful and emblematic mountain of Quindío, “Kakataima hill”, sacred place to the ancient indigenous Pijaos, was also home of the founder of Armenia city, Jesus Maria Ocampo Toro, "Tigrero" From the place you can see the a delightful landscape with all the different green provided from nature/ native tress and vegetation. THE LOCATION: In Calarca, Quindio, easy access by paved road (3 km with traces of concrete), 17 kilometers from the center of Calarca, 25-30 minutes by car. Guest AccessAll the house is just for you. If you want, Doña Cecilia (nearest neighbor) can sell typical peasant food. Remember, the simplest moments during your travels can provide the greatest memories and experiences.
