The SpaceWe are two artists who have spent the last 18 years creating our version of heaven in Corrales New Mexico. You will enjoy an entire house and courtyard full of our original Art. Adding to the ambience is the Sandia Mountain and its beautiful blue skies that are clearly visible from our east facing veranda. Our one bedroom, one bath home is full of New Mexico charm and special artistic touches! In addition to a queen size bed we also have an air bed that fits in a niche of the bedroom that sleeps to and our couch sleeps 2. Our small yet welcoming village of Corrales retains a strong connection to its historical heritage and rural character. It encompasses the rich and fertile land surrounding the west bank of the Rio Grande River with roots permeated by the agricultural history of New Mexico as well as a cultural and social history that reaches back to the original Pueblo inhabitants. Corrales is designated a National Historic Byway and visitor and locals alike find solace in the river bosque sanctuaries abundant with birds, wildlife and pastoral fields. Although Corrales feels like a world far away from it all, it is in fact 15 minutes away from convenient shopping areas, 30 minutes away from downtown Albuquerque and a mere 45 minutes from the plaza in Santa Fe. The Balloon Fiesta is the premier event here in the Albuquerque area and each year the sky overhead is filled with awe inspiring sights and sounds. Many times balloonists have landed in our own backyard! In fact, we have a huge driveway area that would be perfect for balloon pilots. Whether you are looking for a place to explore New Mexico’s rich Art culture, enjoy the great outdoors or sit and absorb the mood of enchantment, you will love the experience of your stay with us. An added bonus if you are so inclined is we welcome the opportunity to offer one on one workshops in either enameling or sculpture in our art studio. Interaction with GuestsWe will be available during your stay to answer any questions or take care of any needs that arise.

The SpaceI built the house of my dreams and now it’s almost empty. After years of amazing AirBnB experiences as a guest, I feel I have to share this house with the world of discerning AirBnB travelers. The master suite is completely self-contained for your retreat. Garden jetted tub and walk-in shower, TV, wet bar and microwave. My builder called my balcony a “balloon deck” so he could charge me extra, but you’ll see why when you experience the breathtaking mountain and valley views – and if you come during balloon fiesta you’ll see why I charge a bit more during this time, too. You’ll also understand why they call them the Sandia’s and appreciate why we are known for our amazing sunsets. You are just a spiral staircase away from the pool and hot tub. Guest AccessGuests have access to the entire house. Interaction with GuestsI can be social or can give you privacy. There is plenty of space for both. The entire upstairs is self-contained with Master, two single bedrooms, two full baths, living room, balcony and a spiral staircase down to pool area. The NeighborhoodClose enough the the mountains, walking distance to Trader Joe's and a few restaurants, a short drive to many other restaurants, and just minutes to I-25. Getting Around15 minutes from the airport. Other Things to NoteThis listing is for the Master Suite, but other rooms are also available - the house is great for families and small groups. By the way, that's Truman photo bombing pictures in the gallery. He can also be social or leave you be.

The Balloon Fiesta Parkway is only 5-7 minutes from this home, and very frequently you will see the balloons from the home itself. We, the owners, live three minutes away and often enjoy watching the balloons from our own home. We also have watched them land throughout the neighborhoods in this specific area. We live three minutes away and will be available for anything they may need. The NeighborhoodWe have lived in Albuquerque our whole lives and moved to this part of town four years ago. This is, by far, our favorite part of town. It is safe, peaceful, and so close to shopping, restaurants, grocery stores, banks, urgent care, churches, gas stations, the freeway and much more. The convenience of having everything so close is priceless. Other Things to NoteAll the bedrooms have ceiling fans and there is also a laundry room with a washer and dryer. There is also an ironing board, iron, laundry soap, and dryer sheets available to guests. Also, there are four beds total - two queen beds, and two twin beds (bunk bed).
