The SpaceThis 12' x 12' cabin is private yet accessible. With access to modern conveniences in the main house you can enjoy both the rustic, secluded life, your Walden. Guest AccessThere is parking, and in the main house you can use the washroom facilities. For rustic living there is a fire pit or camping cook stove or a smoker. Or if available the main kitchen you are welcome. Interaction with GuestsI take my lead from my guests and how much engagement they would prefer. Some like complete privacy and others like to share time and conversation. I pride myself on always making myself available, sometimes remotely, to answer questions and ensure my guests questions are answered and needs are met. The NeighborhoodI am passionate about the rural living experience and having been here for over 30 years as well as being a world traveler, my love for this place has not wavered. First I love being in close relationship to the natural world and the peace it offers. Then the friendliness of rural and small town communities, just the humanness of it all. Lastly, the pace is slower offering time to just take in the present moment, experience oneself differently, connected. Getting AroundThere is no convenient public transit. A car to travel the neighbourhood is a must. One guest was dropped off and picked up a week later and that also seemed to work just fine. Other Things to NoteThere is no washroom on site so it is a 'sh__t in the woods' scenario. If you want to build an outhouse (materials supplied) in exchange for a free stay - this would be welcomed.
