The SpaceOur recently renovated federation home will provide a family of up to 8, with all the comforts and conveniences for a stay in Sydney. We have off-street parking, clean, modern open-plan living space and child-friendly accommodation . Guest AccessWe have comfy beds for 6-8 guests. Bedroom 1 has a queen bed and a balcony. Bedroom 2 has two single beds. Bedroom 3 has a double bed. Bedroom 4 is a playroom and also has a double sofa bed. It is filled with toys and books, which guests are free to use. Fresh linen, mattress protectors and towels are provided. The bedrooms have plenty of storage and hanging space. There is also a tuned piano! A portacot can be made available if you wish to use the room for a baby. There are two modern bathrooms, one downstairs with a shower and one with both bath and shower. There is a formal living room with comfortable sofa, gas fire, books and a TV. There are Foxtel TV channels, Two LCD TVs and DVD players, CD player / i-pod dock. Free WiFi. Gas heaters. Electric blankets. The kitchen has gas cooktop and electric oven, coffee machine, dishwasher, large fridge and filtered water. Plenty of plastic plates for the kids. The separate laundry has a washing machine. Adjoining the kitchen in the open-plan space is a large dining table and a comfortable informal seating area and a wall mounted TV. Great for movie nights! The bi-fold doors open onto a deck and steps (or a slide)! down into the garden. There are raised vegetable beds where guests can pick fresh herbs, veggies and salad leaves. There is a gas BBQ just by the lawn. A therapeutic mineral, heated plunge pool is currently being installed, for use from December onwards. Guests are welcome to use the 2 adult bikes and 3 kids bikes. There are also a couple of scooters to ride to the park. The NeighborhoodOur home is located in the suburb of Mosman, in a highly convenient location. It's about a 10 minute bus ride to the Sydney CBD and about 20 mins on the bus direct to Manly Beach. The area is popular for families as Balmoral Beach (7 min drive or 10 minute run) and the famous Taronga Zoo (10 min drive) are close by. Supermarket, great cafes and restaurants, gyms and cinema are all within a level 5 min walk. We are close to the heart of Mosman, with beautiful shops, library, market and a choice of lovely parks and playgrounds for the kids. Also nearby are stunning bush walks around Middle Head, Getting AroundWe are close to Military Road and buses that will take you into the city (10 minutes) or north to Manly Beach. A 15 minute walk will take you to Mosman Bay and the ferry service around Sydney Harbour. We are also close to the local free bus route that will take you too the beach and to Taronga Zoo and is easy to hop on and off. We have off-street parking for one car. The SpaceStudio Yindi is a self-contained open plan studio apartment on Level 1, which opens onto a spacious garden. It includes bathroom, and a fully equipped basic but practical kitchen for self-catering. There is 1 Queen size double bed in a separate bedroom. The 2 single beds are in a screened area, that is part of the large open plan area. The beds can be moved around in the open plan space to meet the needs of your group, for acoustic or visual privacy that best suits you. We recently installed a second gas space heater that quickly makes the Studio snug after you come home from a long day touristing or working in the winter. ACCESS CONSIDERATIONS Please be aware that the Studio is at the rear of of our house, which you access via a path down the left side of our house. There is about 6 steps at irregular spacing down the pathway. There is one step into the Studio, then 2 more steps between the living area and the kitchen/dining and sleeping areas. Finally the bathroom is 2 steps up from the kitchen/dining area. These steps mean Studio Yindi is not suitable for guests confined to a wheelchair, or need a walking stick for personal mobility. Having said that our 2nd guest more than 3 years ago now was an 85 year woman, who was perfectly at ease navigating the internal and external steps. KITCHEN EQUIPMENT There is a 2 ring electric cook top, electric frypan, rice cooker, microwave oven, refrigerator and small freezer compartment, pots, pans, wok, cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, glasses, etc to make preparation of meals very easy. Some of our guests have stayed as long as 3 months and found the kitchen very satisfactory. N.B. there is no conventional oven. FOOD AND SHOPPING Lots of interesting cafes and restaurants within 15 minutes walk or 5 minutes drive at Mosman and Cremorne. Many food places offer home delivery, if you want it. Excellent choice of quality supermarkets, fresh meat and vegetables 7-8 minutes away by bus or car at Bridgepoint Spit Junction, Cremorne and Neutral Bay. And a FoodPlus store 8 minutes walk up the hill for the basics and the morning paper, if you need it. LOCAL AREA Mosman is a up-market Sydney suburb, with Sydney Harbour on 3 sides. Mosman's shopping centre has a unique village feel that makes it popular for fashion and food shoppers from all over Sydney. But there is lots of natural bush and wildlife in Mosman too - the kookaburras and lorikeets are guaranteed to give you a noisy brilliant early morning or dawn chorus in the summer time! Our location is convenient for a harbour edge walk to Manly, and visiting Sydney's famous Taronga Zoo. Studio Yindi is a great base for seeing Sydney in detail. Owners are regular oversees travellers themselves, and we enjoy the variety, surprise and informality of AirBnB accommodation. The Studio is very suitable for children, with direct access to a lawn and garden. Balmoral Beach, which is less than 10 minutes drive away is a very safe beach for children of all ages. WORKING ENVIRONMENT Several guests have chosen Studio Yindi for long working holiday stays in Sydney. There is lots of space for working in the Studio using our free WiFi Internet connection, including a large work table, which is height adjustable. We can even give you access to a printer, if you need hardcopy. The quiet setting and sunny garden is an excellent work environment. It is also easy to get into city centre, North Sydney or Chatswood by public transport for meeting clients, Partners or suppliers. PUBLIC TRANSPORT Distance to Sydney airport: 18 km, 30 minutes in average traffic. Taxi fare is now between A$65 and $70, depending on traffic conditions. Distance to city centre: 7 km Bus for city: 2 minute walk to bus stop, route 243, then a 15 minute trip, A$3.50 fare. Bus for Mosman,Spit Junction: 2 min. walk to bus stop, route 243, 5 minute trip. Buses to Taronga Zoo, Balmoral Beach, Manly and many northern beaches: 10 mins walk away up at corner of Military Road and Laing St, Mosman. Mosman also has a free bus service - Mosman Rider - that takes you to the world famous Taronga Zoo, Mosman village shopping centre, and Balmoral Beach. Nearest pick-up point to Studio Yindi is about 7 minutes walk at corner of Ourimbah Road and Cowles Road, Mosman. There is lots of street parking available in our quiet suburban street, if you have a car. Guests are welcome to drive their car down to the front of the house for unloading and loading of their luggage, then park their vehicle up on the road again. BOOKING INFORMATION Studio Yindi can be booked for 2, 3 or 4 people, for a minimum of 2 nights. Though self-contained the Studio is also part of owners' home, and is located in a quiet and peaceful suburb of Mosman. We are anxious that guests do not disturb our neighbours with excessive noise. We expect potential guests to send us brief personal profile information with their inquiry: number of people in your group, their ages, type of work you do, where you normally live, why you are visiting Sydney, for example. No profile means we will be less inclined to accept you as guests at Studio Yindi. Guest AccessStudio Yindi is fully self-contained, with it's own entrance door. There is a key safe at the entrance door, so guests can arrive and depart independently, without needing to disturb the host and family who live upstairs in the same building. Interaction with GuestsWe are happy to help guests with as much information as they need for an enjoyable tourist experience of Sydney. We sometimes share a bottle of wine or a cup of tea/coffee with guests who have time to socialise. Other guests are on a tight schedule of things to do, including weddings or conferences to attend so we hardly see them. We love having families stay with us. Children who are into skateboarding will love the sloping chicane course offered by the street where we live. 2 boys from Sweden got very involved with the local skate board mob, and were still in contact with the skateboard mates years after they went home to Stockholm. Soccer, Aussie Rules football, or even cricket is often played by local children on our street, which has very little through traffic. But obviously children need to be supervised by their parents when they are playing on the street. We present Studio Yindi as the type of space we look for when we are travelling nationally or internationally ourselves. If we can find places to stay that are excellent value for money then it means we can spend longer travelling for the same budget amount! If you comfortable with comfortable but sometimes recycled furniture and Ikea style kitchen equipment and do not expect an apartment styled ready to be published in a trendy home magazine then you will feel very much at home. But if you are expecting a 5 star hotel standard of accommodation then you will probably be more comfortable staying at a much more expensive Airbnb site, or a 5 star hotel in the city centre.

The perfect view to wake up to in the morning! **FREE 2 HOUR SYDNEY HARBOUR CRUISE on our 44ft Cruiser for bookings of 7 nights or more** (may be swapped for limousine transfers) If you are staying less than 7 nights and feel like a boat trip, the local marina will pick you up right out the front of the house and take you to Tunks Park for a picnic or a play. "Buzzy" charges $10 each way. We can also provide you with complimentary use of: 2 x paddle boards (SUPs) 2 x kayaks You will be in the lower level of our 4 level, deep waterfront, sun filled home and it is completely separate - we will enable the internal elevator so you can exclusively use it during your stay and have uninterrupted and private access. You will also have exclusive use of the salt water infinity pool and heated spa during your stay. We live in a quiet, leafy waterfront home in one of Sydney's premier suburbs. Close to shops, restaurants, bars and convenient transport to the City. Depending on the time of year, wildlife lovers will have a chance to see and hear Penguins, Seals, Dolphins, harmless Water Dragons, and all sorts of birds: laughing Kookaburras, Whip birds, Sulphur Crested Cockatoos, Black Cockatoos, Pink Galahs, Lorikeets and Pelicans. We have even had a whale out the front! There is a bus stop nearby to take you straight to the city etc but taxis/Uber are usually the preferred option as we are so close. We have a queen bed in the main room and can also provide a portacot or single bed mattress if needed. Wireless Telstra ADSL Internet connection (business grade). The SpacePrivate room in a Lovely Art Deco Apartment - Cremorne/Mosman superbly located and close to downtown Sydney. Cremorne is a great suburb in the Lower North Shore, New South Wales. Australia. It has a mixture of business and residential activity and it's neighbours are Mosman and Neutral Bay. This area is called the Lower North Shore and from the apartment the bus will get you into the city within 15mins and is only approximately 25 mins by car from the airport. THE APARTMENT This is a 2 room apartment in a great location in Cremorne. Your private room normally is for 1 person. The bed is the size of a double bed and is a Ikea sofa bed with extra padding. Easy place to rest your head and weary bones after exploring the sights of Sydney. The apartment is on a gentle slope and we're on the top floor overlooking the neighbourhood. High ceilings, nice light and cross breeze - it's very relaxing. If I can I usually whip up some lovely toasted muesli to start your day. Mmmm. TO DO - within walking distance. Walking distance to a selection of delicious restaurants, great cafes, bakeries (Bourke Street Bakery - is now close by, yum), shops, interesting bars and the artsy Orpheum Theatre. Cremorne point is about a 15 min walk from the apartment and there are many walking trails along the harbour….SHHH...don't tell anyone but there's also a local rock pool for swimming during the warmer months....or the winter months. What a view! If beach is your thing, Balmoral Beach is also a hidden gem only a short bus trip away. SUPER CONVENIENT TRANSPORTATION If you want fast - catch a bus. Lots to choose from going to Sydney CBD, Central or North Sydney, Crows Nest, Chatswood. Or to the Northern Beaches, Manly etc. They are super frequent and pretty fast in the bus lane. Less than 15 mins to city. If you want leisure - catch a ferry. You can walk there or it's a short bus ride to the wharf. (it's nicer to walk though) Pit stops at the ferry are: Cremorne Point Ferry- A small outdoor cafe Neutral Bay Ferry - Indoor/outdoor lots of yummy food Mosman Ferry - Mosman Rowers, a bar and restaurant. This my apartment and I usually live here full time but will be housesitting in Neutral Bay so you will have the apartment to yourselves. Cremorne is a great suburb in the Lower North Shore, New South Wales. Australia. It has a mixture of business and residential activity and it's neighbours are Mosman and Neutral Bay. THE APARTMENT Cozy and quiet in a lovely area. Easy place to rest your head and weary bones after exploring the sights of Sydney.
