The SpaceHello; my name is Brandon, welcome to the Seawind, Neighborhood!
I love life and the fullness of life explorer at heart with passions in outdoor adventure and photography!
Currently my wife and daughter are living in Minnesota while I am studying in California. While they are there, I have decided to share this beautiful house with this Gorgeous Bluff Top Bay Views with Airbnb Guests'.
Shared Space: The house is shared with Myself, Airbnbrs', and House Mate; (Other guests in the past had these rooms available, but are now taken). All common areas are shared, and I do have several air mattresses and extra bedding to accommodate additional travelers. There is a Second Bathroom Available, but Priority goes to the housemate preparing for work.
I allow up to 7 guest for families. 2 Adults 5 kids or 4-5 adults for Families I charge an additional $5 for each person after 5 people for families and for adult groups I charge and additional $5 for more than 3 adults this including all college student ages the additional cost go toward additional setup cost. I can fit up to 2 additional twin size airbeds in the Master bedroom.
I know many students come traveling together, it is important to know you will not have separate bedrooms. I have 2 twin size air mattresses that fit in bedroom and a full size that I put down in the living room. I do not have enough bedding for more than these 4 beds. So if you are a family or more than 4 patrons traveling you will have to bring sleeping bags and extra pillows and possibly sleep on the floor.
Kitchen: Food, Plastic Food Baggies, or Food Storage Containers are not provided, but shared use of the Kitchen is welcome, we have: Dishwasher, Fridge (Shared Space), Range, Seating for 6 plus available fold out chairs. Kitchen use is welcome, but please, please, clean up and tidy after each use there may or may not be paper towels provided guest are welcome to use available washcloths with so many guest the kitchen condition may very so dishes, floors, and counter conditions may very if we all work together to keep this area clean it will also be clean for others~
Master Bedroom: The space given for Airbnb guests is my Master Bedroom which includes: A Walk in Shower (Disclaimer: Left Shower Door is currently broken Shower still Functions and Right Shower Door Still Works Fine); Tub; Dual Sink; TV and DVD Player With Cable; Queen Size Bed; and Vanity. We do not have a/c and heating is provided with a space heater. The shower toilet area is separated from the sink area which is nice for extra guest preparations.
Medium Sized Bedroom may be used for other rentals message me for the extra space this is also listed on Airbnb and this would have to be booked separately according to availability.
Other Guests: There maybe other guests visiting at the house with myself or other Airbnbrs' and or my roommate may have people here at anytime. This is a shared space and our guest are welcome to have an airbed or couch in the living room guest do not come often, but I do want let you know this is a family home, so we have bbq's and friends may spend the night in other rooms the reservation is for the Master Bedroom only with shared use of the other space.
Living room: Guest are welcome to use the Living Room for short stays airbed and couch space can be made available. We have Xbox, DVD, (Please put away all disks after each Use) and Large Screen TV for shared along with 2 Sofas and a recliner usage in this common area. We also have a fireplace, but it is off limits.
Utilities: The average year round temperature is 72, but Sep-October can approach the 90's for a week or two if it is hot you are welcome to sleep with the screen as it may reach 85-95 daytime, but it drops to 55-65 degrees at nighttime we are above the water so we hold on to a very temperate climate year round. If a light bulb goes out I will replace this as soon as I am able. Plumbing issues for non emergencies will be repaired as soon as I am able please use secondary bathroom if flooding occurs please notify myself immediately.
Cleanliness: Guests have made early surprises before our home can be prepared this includes bathroom and bedroom prepping, that may not have been done; we ask that you give us a heads up if you arrive early. You will be welcome to drop off luggage enjoy home use if it is agreed on before hand, but I cannot guarantee what is available. It takes time to clean the Master Bedroom and the room may still have guests that have not left yet so depending on our work schedule we will prep as soon as we can. We prep the stayed in bedroom after each use so guest will have clean linen, toilet, extra toilet paper and other things are wiped down and swept this is an 80's home so if something breaks or there is a cleanliness issue let us know so that we can fix that non emergency items will be taken care of according to work schedules if there is an emergency contact myself immediately. It is important to know that this is a lived in home and that the house may have papers, trinkets, toy on the desk or dishes on the counter, these items and other things are cleaned on a routine basis. I take extra time to prep the kitchen after guest and sweep and mop the floor often, but I cannot guarantee this with multiple guests so I cannot guarantee the constant cleanliness. To help keep areas clean I ask that every one cleans up after each use of the kitchen and that weekly guest take time to clean the bathroom cleaning supply's provided. If you have juice, coffee or other food or liquid items spill please clean it up right away. It is thoughtful to sweep the floor after cooking to keep the crumbs off the floor. I know many of these things are common sense we do not have maid service so it takes everyone working together to keep this open and available to yourself and others.
Location: We are centrally located in the North East Bay!
Distances: Our Bluff Top home is 15 Miles south of Napa, 15 Miles to Berkeley, 20 Miles to Oakland, 26 Miles to San Francisco, and 50 Miles to Sacramento. Commuter Traffic to San Francisco is very heavy during rush hour times on weekdays and there are bridge tolls along the way.
Public Transportation: A car is recommend, but I also recommend the Bus and Ferry. Our home is located 2 Blocks from the Bus Line that brings passengers to the main bus terminal from there you can Board the Vine 29 a Bus that travels to the Napa Valley, or Board a bus that can take you to Bart or Directly to San Francisco.
Ferry: A unique feature to just a few bay area communities and a great way to beat traffic; leaves for San Francisco from Vallejo several times a day costs $26 round trip (Parking Garage across from Ferry) and Heads Directly to the Financial District Downtown for short walk to Union Square, or take the ferry to Fisherman's Warf where you can board a ferry for Alcatraz and Sausalito. This is a fantastic way to see the Bay these Ferries are New, Modern and Fast! We watch several ferries go by our home every afternoon!
Activities Near Vallejo: Blue Springs Park: Has a large Playground, Sulfur Springs for which the park is named after, and fantastic hiking along Blue Springs Mountain; Six Flags we are home to a Six Flags that is the only one with a Zoo and Water shows very much equivalent to SeaWorld. Vallejo Water Front: Nice Walk along the Napa River with Restaurants and Bars located along the river overlooking Mare Island Shipping (Very Cool!); Jelly Belly Factory get your sweet tooth on and lean how Jelly Beans are Made! Carquinez Bridge: this has an impressive walking trail just like the Golden Gate. This bridge connects Vallejo to Crockett, is 3,500 Feet Long and over 150 Feet above the Confluence of the Sacramento and Napa Rivers as they enter the Bay many beautiful bluff side views can be seen from here great restaurant with a view located just on the other side of the bridge called the Deadfish a well known Seafood Restaurant~ Guest AccessGuest will have shared access to all home Common Areas: Kitchen, Living Room, Laundry Room (Scheduled), Private Access to Deck from Master Bedroom, Parking. The Garage and Private Bedrooms are the only area off limits. Interaction with GuestsI will be available on a limited basis please feel free to call or text if there are any home questions. I do live at the home, I will be available while at home. I do love to visit with guest, but I also respect your privacy. I love to meet weekly guests.
