The SpaceAmazing view, great accommodations, fun times! Are you and your friends or family in need of a weekend getaway? Flint Rock Ranch has just what you need. Nestled in the southern tip of the Porcupine Hills on a 1000 acres of pasture, forests and valleys, FRR offers sleeping for 8 plus lots of 'camping space'. Bring your horses and other pets for a country getaway in one of the most peaceful and private locations you will ever find. Accommodates 8. You can increase your sleeping capacity but also renting one or both of the guest cabins. Our ranch is very secluded (Pincher Creek is 25 minutes away) Pack in all the supplies you will need for your relaxing stay. In the late spring, summer, and fall, you can access property with regular cars. In the winter and early spring, a 4X4 is recommended. There are many wonderful attractions nearby including Waterton Park (1 hour), Castle Recreation Area, Old Man River Dam and Reservoir, Frank Slide, Heritage Acres to name a few. Summer Camping Available. Guest AccessGuests will have access to the hot tub, yard games (bocce, crochet...) CD'S and vinyl, board games. Interaction with GuestsWe mainly connect with our guests on airbnb but have met a couple of groups before their holiday to give instructions etc. The NeighborhoodWe have spectacular views down our beautiful valley with mountains and windmills in the distance. Getting AroundFlint Rock Ranch is 25 minutes from the nearest town (Pincher creek). The closest neighbours are 2 miles away. Our long driveway can be a bit hazardous if the snow, rain, mud conditions are bad. A 4X4 is recommended in winter and spring. Other Things to NotePets are welcome but must be supervised at all times. There is an extra cleaning charge for pets.

The SpaceMajestic views from all areas of the property, great for relaxing afternoons/ evenings just taking in the surroundings. A quick five minute backtrack on the main road takes you directly to quading/ biking trials; also used as sledding/ cross country skiing trails in the winter months. Hiking paths can be accessed from all sides of the property, you can make it all the way to Crowsnest Lake from the back door. Guest AccessGuests will have access to the entire lower level. Separate entrance leads into open concept living/ dining/ kitchen area, with the washroom and two bedrooms off that. A washer and dryer is provided in case of emergencies, along with detergents necessary. If travelling for a special occasion, an iron and ironing board as well as hair dryer are provided. A hot tub is located just out the back door which captures the amazing views. Large screen television with a satellite t.v, and dvd player, a few movies provided. All essentials are within the suite, from kitchen appliances, cookware, utensils, wine glasses....... Towels are provided for regular use as well as for hot tub use. Soap, toilet paper and a few other toiletries provided. If children are staying, a few toys will be left as well as cards, crib board and poker chips. Interaction with GuestsCan provide a meet and greet if requested. The NeighborhoodThe area is quiet and serene, all around amazing place to waste the day away.... Getting AroundMust have own transportation, preferably 4*4. Other Things to NoteRequire some form of photo I.D. upon booking.. Check in time 3:00pm, exception upon request, check out time 11:00 am, exception upon request. If larger groups are interested, this can be accommodated with the upper level as well, dependant upon guest booking. Entire house can sleep up to 13 guests. Charges will be the same as for the lower level.

The Space1 1/2 story beautiful 1920's character home with oak floors, lots of light, home comfort living and spacious rooms. Lots of space for adventure gear. Guest AccessKitchen, Bathroom, mudroom, large bedrooms, internet, dining room, lots of free parking, HUGE backyard with a fire pit and matching vintage bicycles to ride (trust me they're in good shape). Make sure bicycles have proper amount of air and treat them with the respect they deserve for their age and riding style. Rent a mountain bike in Blairmore if you want a rough ride. Interaction with GuestsIf you are renting out the whole house, the space will be completely private. There may be interaction upon your arrival and when you leave and you can contact the host through texts and emails if necessary. The NeighborhoodIt has a 360 degree mountain view and a couple blocks away you will find yourself on gorgeous hiking trails (Advanced & beginner). If you have kids, the children's playground is 3 blocks down the street and The Powder Keg Ski Resort located in Blairmore is the best hill to teach yourself or young ones how to snowboard, ski, and mountain bike (15 minute drive). If you're looking for more advanced terrain, you are only one hour from Fernie Alpine Resort. Also 1-1.5 hours drive away is the majestic Waterton National Park that offers outdoor activities for adventure enthusiasts of all levels... A MUST SEE. The Crowsnest Pass also hosts world class fly-fishing along the Crowsnest, Castle, and Old Man River, not to mention the house is only a block away from the best Ice cream shop around! Getting AroundIf you managed to get to the Crowsnest Pass you probably took a car or hitch hiked, once you arrive, you can either ride bikes, drive or walk. There is also the Crowsnest Taxi Service for your convenience. During the work week, the Town Rounder (bus service) stops just a block outside the home towards Turtle Mountain. The SpaceThe Panabode will be open in June 2015 Are you in need of a weekend getaway? Interested in a nice to play to stay while you hunt and fish in the area? The Panabode guest house at Flint Rock Ranch may have just what you need. This cute little cabin has 2 small bedrooms. There is a 3-piece bathroom with access to laundry in the main house. The kitchen has a small sink and fridge and you have full access to the cook house steps away. The cook house is fully equipped with cooking utensils, 6 burner gas stove, double ovens etc. A getaway to this little cabin will provide you with wonderful reading time. You can sit back, listen to music and contemplate life for hours. It is also ideal for hunters and fishermen looking to settle into the area for a few days. Nestled in the southern tip of the Porcupine Hills on a 1000 acres of pasture, forests and valleys, the Panabode at FRR offers spectacular views, hiking, and nature discovery. Be sure to pack all your food and drink requirements because the nearest town (Pincher Creek) is 25 minutes away. We are located a short driving distance from the Head Smashed In Buffalo Jump, as well as Heritage Acres and The Rock and Fossil Museum. Waterlon Lakes is an hour away, and Castle Mountain recreation area is an hour in the other direction. There are some great coffee shops, pubs and restaurants in the area and the outdoor activities are unlimited: skiing, snow mobiling, snow-shoeing, hiking, fishing, golfing, swimming, caving, bird-watching, biking, ... Getting AroundThere is no public transport available - local taxi is $10-$15 to locations within the Crowsness Pass. Your kitchen is fully equipped, complete with full size fridge, stove, dishwasher, toaster oven, coffee maker and kettle. There is even a wonderful natural gas BBQ on the deck outside. We supply coffee, tea, sugar and a selection of spices, All you need to bring is your food. The comfy and cozy den is setup with cable tv, Internet and WIFI and a selection of books.to keep entertained while you are inside. Guest AccessThis rents out the entire main floor of the house which includes the Queen Room, Twin Room, Living room, Dining room, Kitchen, Butlers Pantry, Mudroom, and Bathroom. The host has access to the nannies quarters upstairs. A small back deck faces to the surrounding hills, and the BBQ and fire-pit add to the enjoyment of outdoor living. Guest AccessThis is a vacation property so you have access to the full house and are required to leave the property in the condition that it was on entry, i.e. clean, tidy, dishes done, swept, linens on bed and towels in the bath. The washer and dryer are available for use, and we provide laundry detergent. Interaction with GuestsWe live in the area - just a few minutes away and will meet you after you have arrived at the property. We enjoy the great outdoors here in the Crowsnest Pass and can help guide you towards some great hikes, skiing, biking and eating. Getting AroundThere is plenty of parking in the small towns of Southern Alberta. You will require a vehicle to get to most of the locations in the area as there is no local bus service.

        The NeighborhoodTwelve acres of space allows for activities like campfires, kite flying, and play. There is an acre of Saskatoon berries and a hillside for for exploring. There is very little light pollution so stargazing is spectacular for the astronomers. It is a short walk to the Crowsnest River and a short drive to fishing lakes and swimming holes. A 15-20 minutes drive will take you into the scenic towns of the Crowsnest Pass and all the necessities of groceries, pharmacies, gift shops and restaurants. The town also has an outdoor swimming pool, a golf course and trails system. The cabi is a 45 minute drive from WesCastle Ski Resort and a 60 minute drive to the Fernie Ski Resort. There is an excellent small ski hill for beginners within a 15 minute drive. Getting AroundA vehicle will be necessary as this is a rural location.
