The SpaceA beautiful architect-designed beach front property located upwind from the untamed beach of Prea, Brazil, in the perfect location for an idyllic luxury getaway in a stunning setting. The accommodation comprises 2 master suites, 3 additional bedrooms (+ 2 more bathrooms), spacious living and dining areas, and kite surfing cleaning and storage areas beneath the house. Hammocks and relaxing areas are in abundance, and the view is of the sea in front of you, and the dunes behind you. With the addition of a swimming pool immediately adjacent to the house this year, the house offers an exclusive break for kite surfers and non-kite surfers alike.
A house manager is on site to fulfil your every whim, be it cocktails at sunset or a morning massage, horseback riding or a kite surfing trip down to Jericoacoara, the world famous windsurfing resort town. Book your flight into Fortaleza, Ceara, and our manager will take care of everything else, starting with your transfer to the house, and including everything from massages to childcare. And our private chef prepares all your meals, to ensure you have nothing at all to think about while you are on holiday.
If you're a keen kite surfer or just learning, you will love having your own private stretch of the sea, upwind from the other kite surfing schools so no-one is crossing your path, and if you need some instruction we can provide teachers directly at the house. Fantastic down winders can be arranged, starting at the house and ending anywhere from 12km to 40km away! The beach buggies follow you all the way and ensure your safety, and take you home in time for dinner and drinks on the balcony. If members of your party aren't kite surfing, the beach itself is a beautiful nature retreat and can be enjoyed by running, horse riding, yoga on the balcony or just long strolls. Trips to the beautiful lagoons are available, and the nearby town of Jericoacoara has a thriving shopping area, with everything from jewellery to hammocks and Hawaiians. Or of course relax by the pool, in a hammock, or in any of the generously proportioned living areas.
Whatever your tastes, whether you're a kite surfer, ocean lover, party animal or avid reader, beach house Prea can provide you with the perfect holiday. Once you've kicked off your shoes and drunk your first caiprinha on the balcony, you're not going to want to leave.

Guest AccessGuests are free to use the whole of beachhouseprea as their own, with the exception of the kitchen and the rear deck which are for staff use only. We have a staff of 5 who man the house all day long, including a housekeeper and a cook, who prepares breakfast, lunch and dinner for our guests. Interaction with GuestsWe have a property manager on-site to help you with your day-to-day wishes, eg booking buggy tours, downwinders, restaurants. Our other staff are on-site to cook, clean and watch the property, but cannot speak anything but Portuguese. The NeighborhoodThe house is located approximately 3 degrees south of the equator where it enjoys 320 sunny days of the year, as well as warm air and water temperature the whole year round. The steady wind between July and December creates a pleasant cooling environment, and also makes the area one of the preferred destinations in the world for kitesurfing. The distance from any large cities and its remoteness have contributed to the protection of the beaches and villages from mass tourism.
1km downwind from us you will find the fishing village of Prea. Relatively new to tourism, Prea village has retained its typical “nordestino” character, where life for the locals is pure and simple and in close contact with nature. Many locals still make their living from fishing and agriculture, and most mornings you may watch the fishermen bringing in their haul with nets and boats in much the same way they have been doing for 100 years. In recent years the beach has become more popular due to its close proximity to Jericoacoara and consistent kitesurfing conditions, resulting in an ever-growing variety of accommodation and restaurants.
For nightlife options, Jericoacoara is still the biggest and best, located 12km away and accessible by beach buggy. Jericoacoara is host to numerous small, yet excellent, restaurants, bars and cafes where candlelit dinners and live music can be enjoyed. At sunset, dozens of stands are set up on the beach offering cocktails prepared with tropical fruits. Getting AroundTaxi services
Buggy – Once you have arrived in the area, most travel is by buggy taxi, which is a mini-adventure in itself. These can hold up to 4 passengers. Please ask our house manager or staff to call you a buggy taxi in advance. Often immediate, but allow up to 30mins wait.
Motorbike – For quick journeys into Prea and nearby, a motorbike can be called for 1 (braver) person. This is the cheapest way of getting around. Let our staff call you a bike if you are in a rush to get somewhere.
4×4 – For long journeys, eg to Fortaleza for the airport or hospital, let us call you a car. A standard Toyota Hilux can seat up to 4 passengers with bags, and a Jeep can accommodate 6 people.
Some of our clients prefer to have access to a buggy all the time, allowing for spontaneous trips to Prea or Jeri, excursions to the lagoons and sights in the area, or of course the legendary Jeri downwinders. We can arrange for a private-hire buggy to be there at the house for you, with a daily service to minimise any technical issues (the sand and salt of the beach is not that vehicle-friendly!). Please contact us to arrange this before your stay. Other Things to NoteLots of information about the house and the area can be found on our dedicated website - (website hidden)
