The SpaceOne of the best things about Currarong is that it is still a sleepy fishing/surf village. Despite being only 2 ½hrs drive from Sydney and 1 ½hrs from the Southern Highland, the town hasn't been overdeveloped and has a very relaxed feel. Another great thing is its absolutely beautiful pristine beaches. Sail Away with me is 50mt walking distance to two gorgeous beaches both of which are north facing so you can catch the sun all day and are really safe for swimming with kids. Jervis bay is only a 10 minute drive with another 6 beaches accessible including the divine Honeymoon Bay. You will be spoilt for choice and you can always find a beach protected from the wind. You can spend the day exploring the many rock pools or bush walk along the Beecroft headland. It is a fishing paradise and is also a top spot for surfing and rock climbing which are popular sports in the area. In town is legendary "Zacs" fish and chip shop where you won't find any fresher. They catch their own fish and cook it fresh that day. There is also a general store incorporating a bottle shop to cover basics. There is also the Currarong bowling club that has a great Chinese restaurant and bistro that caters for the family. There is tennis court and a great skate park for those children that love to skate board. Guest Access*Sail Away With Me* is available for 5 night + booking only. We do not do bookings for less then 5 nights. Interaction with GuestsYou have the home all to your self with your family. I will not meet you, but you will meet the care taker / cleaners of *Sail Away With ME*. The NeighborhoodThere is a caravan park near by that has a great play ground for the children. The yard at *Sail Away With ME* is child friendly and safe (fully fenced). Getting AroundEvery thing in the village of Currarong is walking distance. The SpaceSituated in the lovely seaside village of Currarong just 2.5hrs south of Sydney, Casa de Rosa Is a delightful, comfortable 2 bedroom house that backs onto national park and only 5 minutes walk to the ocean. It has a well equipped kitchen for cooking, big bath for relaxing and comfortable TV area with heating. The main bedroom has a queen bed and the 2nd bedroom has 2 single beds. There is a great undercover BBQ area downstairs with a bush outlook. Sitting on the edge of the village with bush on 2 sides it is an idyllic setting for a peaceful holiday and chances are you will be greeted by the local kangaroos as our property is unfenced. Guest AccessGuests will not have to share any of the indoor or outdoor areas. Parking for 1 car in the driveway and there is more parking on the street outside the house if needed. There is a key safe, with access code, situated under the staircase. Downstair's store rooms are off limits and will be locked accept for the area just inside the screened door to allow access to the power box if needed. Interaction with GuestsWe do not live at or near the property so any interaction will be by phone or email The NeighborhoodThe Beaches There are loads of them! Walk around the peninsula, or drive across the peninsula to the other side. Have a look at the maps at the house and find a beach all to yourself. When you’re walking around the water, look for dolphins – we saw 2 groups of them when we were there last. If the season is right you will also spot many whales giving their new babies a few life lessons. Abraham Bosom’s Beach is the closest and the prettiest. Head down Fishery Rd (turning right when you leave the house), take a left at Pescator and walk right down to the water. Then follow the track in front of the houses and next to the water. Just keep on going until you come to the beach. You will pass a stunning large rockpool which is very close to Abraham Bosom’s Beach and which has picnic tables and parkland adjacent to it. Bushwalking To get to the start of the bushwalking track turn right when you leave the house, walk to the end of Fishery Rd, turn left into Pescator St, then turn right into Weber Parade and keep walking for about 5 minutes. Once you’re at the beginning of the bushwalk and to get to Honeysuckle Point, take the walk to the Wreck and then turn right at the sign which says the Wreck. Honeysuckle Point is just beautiful and usually without people. The snorkelling here is superb. Further along this pathway is Lobster Bay, also delightful and, usually, free of people. Check out Mermaids Inlet which is about half an hour walk away and also Beecroft Head/Outlook which is about a 50 minute walk. Don't forget your fishing rod as there are loads of great fishing spots. Just ask one of the locals. Getting AroundSydney is the closest capital city and there is a train from Sydney Central to Bomadeery (30kms from Currarong) but only 1 bus a day out to Currarong. For cycling enthusiasts and if the weather is fine, bring your bike on the train as it's a lovely ride (30kms) out to Currarong. Definitely not recommended for the faint hearted though. The village is small so walking anywhere in the village will take you no more than 10minutes. If you are keen cyclists bring your bikes with you as many of the bush walks are suitable for bikes as well. For getting around under the ocean don't forget your snorkels, goggles and flippers as there is lots to be seen just below the surface.

Besides taking in the the incredible view from the dining table on the main deck there's 'The Penguin Lounge' just outside the 'play-room' which has lots of seating and a large low table and a more intimate sitting area on the deck outside the front door both stream with glorious morning sunshine. But the ultimate in relaxation is our super wonderful 'Tilbury Lounge' with two four seater and one two seater lounges also with ocean views. You'd be pushed to find a better place on the plant where you can do almost noting. It has beautiful dappled shading for the day or use the fire pit to build a small intimate fire at night to create the perfect relaxed ambience for toasting marshmallows or use giant Brazilian style skewers to slow cook your dinner.... THE GARDEN We love cooking, there's an enormous kitchen garden, with plenty of herbs and a selection of salad and veg along with a lemon, lime and orange tree not to mention our enormous patch of the most tasty strawberry you will ever eat. It's culinary heaven, please feel free to dig in! DOGS Are very welcome inside the house but not on the furniture. We have two outstanding beaches which are at all time dog friendly and between leash free between 4pm and 8am. We have a fully enclosed and secure garden so your furry friends will be in heaven & safely contained! A section of bowls, dog tags for your use while you stay with our address and a few toys are supplied. TOYS & THINGS FOR THE BEACH Please feel free to use our toys. We have a single Kayak, a life vest, a few sets of snorkel/mask/fins, a wetsuit (size small), a couple of weight belts and some dive bits and pieces, 2 tennis rackets & balls, a 7'' slate pool table that has a table tennis top, table tennis bats and balls, guitar, games, Approx. 100 in-house films and a selection of beach umbrellas. PROTECTED Without doubt the best feature of this house is it's very special and unique position. We're tucked snuggly into Tibury Cove which means we are totally protected from the Southerly and nor'Easter winds which can be considerable to say the least, particularly in the summer months. When everyone else has no choice but to batten down the hatches and retire indoors we can still enjoy sitting on the deck, experiencing no more than a mild and pleasant breeze. This really has to be experienced to be believed! VIEW We also have THE BEST VIEW in Culburra (well, we think so anyway), facing North West means the house fills with gorgeous sunshine, which is priceless in the winter months. We also get to enjoy something very few houses on the East coast of Australia get to see… perfectly timed at wine o’clock you can watch the magnificent sun setting over the ocean, it's heaven every afternoon. PRIVATE On one side of the house is a large grassed area with a playground so we only have neighbours on one side. POSITION We also have two beaches within a few seconds walk. As one of our guests quoted "You hear waves in stereo!" Directly in front is Tilbury Cove which is the most protected part of Culburra Beach to swim, great for snorkeling and is also one of the best spots to free dive for lobster on the South Coast!!! And just four houses down on the opposite side of the road is a path leading to Warrain Surf Beach. So, if the waves on one beach are a little too big or small for your liking or it's a bit blowy, you can always nip over to the other one!
