The SpaceThis is a private cozy apartment. It has a private entrance/ bath/ bedroom/kitchen and is completely separated from the rest of the house. It offers a lot of privacy and a code key lock for easy check in after hours.
The apt is furnished with a full kitchen that is equipped with a coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave, bagel toaster, induction cooktop hotplate, and basic cookware.
The bed is a new pillow top queen sized bed, with high thread count sheets, and 4 pillows, two that are soft and two that are firm. We provide towels, wash cloths, hand soap, makeup remover sheets, shampoo, and conditioner. We also provide insect repellant and essential oils that repel mosquitos naturally.
Your room is also equipped with a hair dryer, iron, ironing board, and blackout curtains. There is a writing desk in the kitchen area and a sitting area for reading in the bedroom.
The TV is equipped with cable that includes premium channels, such as HBO and Showtime, and a DVD player/recorder. There is also a Roku device installed on the TV to make neflix and hulu streaming possible.
There is high speed WIFI throughout the home and patio areas. The property contains coconut trees and palm tree, three of which are mature Royal Palms which make a lovely white noise on breezy days and nights.
The front of the property is well lighted by two antique street lamps. Guest AccessOur guests have access to the porch bistro area where smoking is permissible. A gas BBQ grill is currently available to guests in the pool patio. Guest have access to our back yard patio and swimming pool. We have a parking spot for one car in front of the studio.
We also have two bicycles that you can borrow if you want to take ride around our area or the scenic biking trail on Old Cutler Road. Upon request, we can provide beach gear which include towels, chairs, cooler and umbrellas. Interaction with GuestsI will meet with you upon check in or the next morning after your arrival. I work from home so I am right next door should you need anything.
I have lived in Miami since 1978 so I can provide tips on local attractions and various hot spots. Host interaction is based on what you are most comfortable with, ranging from very little to frequent.
On the Weekends you are likely to find us working in the backyard, as we intend to work on landscaping projects to enhance the area for ourselves and our guests. So, feel free if I am working in the garden area to chat if you wish. The NeighborhoodIn the Spring, during early evening hours, you may hear mating calls from nearby wild peacocks. The niegborhood is a quiet area where folks drive around in golf carts. We are 1.5 miles from the bay and a mile from scenic Old Cutler Road, which leads to beautiful tourist areas, such as The Deering Estate, Matheson Hammocks Park/Marina( our nearest beach about 20 mins away), Fairchild and Pinecrest Gardens, Coconut Grove, and Viscaya. We are only about a 45 minute drive from picturesque Key Largo, Forida
Most of our shopping is along US1 which is 1.2 miles to the west, and our closest shopping mall and cinema is Southland Mall, only 2.1 miles from home.
During the winter and spring months, Burr's Farms are open which consist of "U-pick" strawberry, tomato, herb, and veggie gardens. The heirloom chocolate tomatoes and yellow dot tomatoes are best eaten right off the vine! Nearby Knauss Berry Farm offers freshly made cinnamon buns on a daily basis that attract crowds of locals and tourists and are well worth the wait.
We are also within a few miles of historic Cauley Square and Railroad Village offering a glimpse of Old South Florida.
Award winning Zoo Miami is only 4 miles away and makes for an excellent day trip.
We have two sports bars/grills which locals love about a mile away, Cutler Bay Sports Bar offers live entertainment on weekends. Rod Benders offers seafood and steaks in addition to the usual eats.
We are 4.2 miles north of Blackpoint Marina which offers boat rentals, patio dining, and a walking/ fishing trail along Biscayne Bay. Getting AroundTo fully experience Miami we HIGHLY recommend a rental car, although a bus stop is only one block away which will take you to Southland Mall and other shopping areas around Cutler Bay.

We also have Uber and Lyft services in the area as well as the Bus Way and Metro Rail. Northbound bus and rail lines run to Dadeland Mall, Coral Gables, Coconut Grove, Mary Brickell Village, and Downtown Miami. Other Things to NoteIf you prefer a cozy and peaceful Miami vacation and not the hectic South Beach night club scene, this is the place for you.

** Children are welcome, but children of all ages count as 'people' and must be included in the guest count. We have a toddler air bed for use and we prefer just one child as a extra guest, since it is a studio bedroom.
