The SpaceWe're an organic farm integrated into the local Gumot community. We have guests come from all over the world who are travelling in the Philippines and stop by for a nature-filled experience. Some of our longer staying guests help on the farm or help in the community with the local kids. Guest AccessThe whole of the Happy House is a self-contained space away from the other house (Little Happy House). The whole of the farm is accessible - we have 1.2 hectares in field, tree, garden and wild spaces. Interaction with GuestsWe (Carol, myself - David, and our little daughter Kyra) are usually here all year round. The NeighborhoodWe are a rural farm at the end of the village road in a secluded and quiet spot but easy to get to from the national highway. Buses travel 24 hours through the local town so we are very accessible. Getting AroundTricycles are available along with local buses on the main highway 3km away. It's easy to get around and we can call a tricycle to come and pick you up. There is a lot to do in the local area including nature walks, beach walks, fishing, mountain walks, hot springs, surfing (1 1/2 hrs away), helping in the garden etc etc. Other Things to NoteThis is a SIMPLE and natural space and while it's not a totally local experience - because we have things like running water and electricity ! - it is totally connected to the rural farming community here where the people are so giving, caring and magnificent.
We are not a hotel or resort - just a simple living space where we take care of you and you can have a fun natural experience. Our facilities are good but very natural and simple. We have composting toilets and nature showers (private). This place suits people who are travelling or want a simple place to hang out and relax in nature away from it all.
