The SpaceThe space includes a queen size bed, a couch, a desk, a mini-fridge, TV and DVD player, attached bathroom and free access to in room wi-fi. There is no cable/satellite TV, but there is access to over the air local HD channels as well as Amazon Prime, Netflix and other streaming content. I have an optional 2nd guest room that is available for reservations of 4 guests (an extra $50 per night). If you are interested in booking both guest rooms please send an inquiry with the dates that you are interested in to confirm that the second guest room is available. Guest AccessThis private guest bedroom and attached bathroom are the only rooms on the street level and as such allow guests to come and go as they please whether through the garage or the front door. While my street is pretty quiet in the evenings, you will be downtown at street level and will have some traffic noise during the week that normally begins around 7am. The rental includes shared access to the kitchen and living room on the second floor, the laundry facilities and the rooftop deck. Guests will also receive a parking spot for one vehicle inside the garage. Interaction with GuestsI enjoy meeting new people and welcome interaction with all of my guests but also am respectful of their privacy and time and as such will provide as much or as little interaction as my guests desire. I will generally be present in the townhome although on a completely separate floor from the guests. The NeighborhoodThe townhouse is conveniently located downtown directly across from the Dallas Farmers Market with easy access to the Business District, Deep Ellum, the Arts District, West End, Convention Center and the DART. You can literally walk to just about anything you need. Restaurants, bars, live music venues, shopping, public transportation, etc... D Magazine's top burger, pizza and BBQ joints are within a 10 minute walk. In addition, the location is just a few blocks from both the central expressway and I-30 allowing easy access to the rest of Dallas if needed. Getting AroundThe megabus stop is a 5 minute walk from my house. The heart of downtown, the St. Paul or Pearl St./Arts District DART stops and Deep Ellum are all within a 10 minute walk from my house. The Convention Center is about 15 minutes and the Greyhound bus terminal and Union Station are about 20 minutes. *** From DFW airport *** If you choose not to rent a car there are 4 ways to get downtown from the airport. A taxi is the fastest way downtown and you can hail one curbside outside of baggage claim and with no traffic you can get downtown in 25 minutes for approximately $50. Uber/Lyft can also pick up at the airport and you can hail them using their smartphone apps. Their drivers wait in a staging area at the airport and they can usually pick you up within 10 minutes with the fare to downtown running between $27 -$32 depending on traffic. A shared shuttle will cost $27 for one person so it really makes no sense unless uber/lyft for some reason are not available. Finally, the DART (light rail) is the cheapest option but also the longest. It runs every 15-30 minutes from about 4am until 1:12am during the week and until 11:42pm on weekends. You should plan at least an hour and a half from when you arrive at the airport to get downtown. The signage for the DART station at the airport is not very good but this is how you get there. First, you will need to make your way to the far north end of Terminal A on either the Skytrain (inside security) or the shuttle bus (outside baggage claim). From there, take the elevator to the bottom floor, walk outside the terminal and follow the pedestrian walkway to the right until you reach DART station. Take the Orange line (the only train that serves the airport) to either the St. Paul or the Arts Center/Pearl St stops. Trains leave every 15-20 minutes during the daytime (30-60 minutes after 11pm) and take approximately 50 minutes to get downtown. If you are traveling between 9:30am and 2:30pm weekdays it will run you $1.75 per person, all other times are $2.50 per person and you can buy a ticket using a credit card at the kiosk on the train platform or through the gopass downloadable app on your smartphone. From either the St. Paul or the Pearl/Arts Center stops it is roughly a 10 minute walk to my house. *** Transportation around downtown *** The city of Dallas provides a free downtown bus called Dlink that runs every 15 minutes Monday - Saturday from 11:00am to 11:30pm. The bus services most of downtown Dallas including the Arts District, West End, Convention Center, Main Street District as well as connecting service to Uptown and Bishop Arts via streetcars which are also free. There is a Dlink stop right in front of the Dallas Farmers Market which is 2 short blocks from my house. Other Things to NoteOne mountain bike and one road bike are available for guests to roam around town. A pack 'n play is available for guests traveling with infants. ***International guests*** If you are visiting from outside the country and need a prepaid SIM card to use while traveling in the states please let me know as I try keep a few on hand. *** Breakfast *** I don't provide a traditional breakfast however I'm happy to offer my guests coffee, tea or hot chocolate and seasonal fresh fruit. *** Cleaning fee *** There is a one time cleaning fee of $24 that covers cleaning the room and changing out the linens and towels when you depart. Your room will not be made up during your stay.

The SpaceAs a host, my top priority is to make sure your rental goes smoothly and you are comfortable with renting my place every step of the way. My apartment is conveniently located for accessing downtown Dallas on foot but is also great for those using public transit or traveling by car. The apartment is equipped with just about everything you might expect from a business class hotel--and yet, it has all the comforts of a real home. Before you arrive, I will have prepared the unit with clean linens (fitted sheet, top sheet, and pillowcases) and clean towels. I always keep the place very neat with uncluttered surfaces. You will have no trouble settling right in when you arrive! Ideal for business or pleasure - or both! Inside this unique American Foursquare house from the early 1900s that was recently renovated, the apartment has large windows with views of the downtown skyline and a quintessential southern porch. It is located in Dallas' oldest residential neighborhood, The Cedars. I take pride in my ability to accommodate any and all types of travelers. I enjoy meeting people from different parts of the United States and other countries. I have had nothing but great experiences as an AirBnB host! I try to respond to inquiries and requests as soon as possible and usually can respond to messages within an hour. Please note, that this is a second story apartment with access from an interior flight of stairs - there is no elevator. Space includes: - Roomy master bedroom with king size bed, and room for a twin rollaway cot or queen air mattress. - Large, bright bedroom with a bunk bed (twin top and full bottom) - Plus a queen pullout couch in the living room. - Bedrooms are separated by an open-concept kitchen/living room for privacy. Guest AccessWhen you rent my place, you are welcome to use all that it has to offer. Notable features include: 48" HD TV with Netflix, reliable high-speed WiFi, washer/dryer, free parking, iron/ironing board, hair dryer, Keurig coffee maker, first aid kit and office desk. Interaction with GuestsI take pride in my ability to accommodate any and all types of travelers. I enjoy meeting people from different parts of the United States and other countries. I have had nothing but great experiences as an AirBnB host. I try to respond to inquiries and requests as soon as possible and usually can respond to messages within an hour. I am available 24 hours a day (I mean it!) and just a phone call away to help with anything you may need. I want to earn your 5-star review and have over two years of hosting experience with over 350 positive reviews. The NeighborhoodThe Cedars Neighborhood of Downtown Dallas borders the heart of Downtown, the Farmers Market District, and the South Side. The Cedars is going through a revitalization known as Dallas' Grow South Initiative, a comprehensive strategy for sustainable growth. It is currently home to a range of industries, creative living and office spaces, and entertainment venues. It's a diverse, eclectic neighborhood of young urban dwellers, with an active night life. The neighborhood around the building is safe. Myself and my guests have never had any problems. The neighbors are friendly, and often out and about when the weather is nice (which is most days!). There are sidewalks everywhere you'd need to go and the public transit line is only a block from the house. The Dallas Police Headquarters are a block away on South Lamar St; friendly patrolmen cruise by frequently. It's an exciting neighborhood to reside in as it's Dallas' up-and-coming hot spot! Getting AroundMy home's location makes for easy transportation -- whether on foot, public transit or by car. I can help you with any transportation advice or recommendations you may require for your stay. Notably, DFW International Airport is under 30 minutes away, Love Field Airport is about 20 minutes away and the Dallas Convention Center is just a 5 minute walk down the street. For those of you with a vehicle, there's plenty of free parking spots in our parking lot. If you don't have a car - no problem! The house is just a quick stroll away from the core of Downtown. The DART (Dallas public transit) rail is only a block away from the house. Plus, greater Dallas is accessible through an extensive public transit system with rail-lines, buses and trolleys. If you need a taxi, I recommend Uber. Other Things to NoteI am always willing and able to help with special requests to make your stay extra special. If you are visiting for any specific reason -- business, pleasure, sporting event, convention, anniversary, or any other type of significant occasion -- feel free to let me know. If I can help make your visit unforgettable, I will. Part of the reason I host on AirBnB is because I enjoy going above and beyond as a host.

Interaction with GuestsI will be out of the guest's way, but will more than likely be in town to answer questions or help out in any way. The NeighborhoodThe Farmers Market area has seen a resurgence in the past few years and is only getting nicer. I absolutely love the area. Deep Ellum and Downtown are walking distance and a great place to checkout for food, drinks, shopping, or general attractions. Enjoy incredible views from the rooftop terrace, garage parking and walking to everything you need in this ideal downtown Dallas location. Hi, this townhouse is my personal residence and not a full time rental property. I am currently on a hiatus from work and am using my temporary freedom to do some traveling. While I am on the road, I am renting out my home. In addition to its comfortable lived in feel and fully stocked kitchen and laundry room, it is ideally located for both the business traveler or the tourist and provides an excellent alternative to staying in a hotel. My townhouse comes furnished with 3 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms with 1 king and 2 queen size beds and accommodates up to 6 guests. Two air mattresses are also available for guests that prefer individual sleeping arrangements. The maximum number of guests in the home is limited to 6 people. In addition to the living room, all three bedrooms come furnished with LED TVs with over the air access to local channels (no cable), Netflix, Amazon Prime and other streaming content. There is wireless internet access throughout the house. The living room and master bedroom TV's also include access to Microsoft Media Center (DVR) for recording and playback and the living room has installed surround sound speakers in the ceiling. The kitchen comes fully stocked with pots, pans, plates, glasses, utensils and cooking gear and with the farmers market a block away you can easily whip yourself up a home cooked meal. Guests will also have access to the laundry room which has a high efficiency front loading washer, dryer and is stocked with detergent, bleach and fabric softener. On the rooftop terrace there is patio furniture and a shade umbrella for hanging out and enjoying the Dallas skyline and a gas grill in the event that you would like to grill up your own Texas BBQ. There is space available for two cars in the attached garage along with additional street guest parking if needed. Guest AccessGuests will access the property through a keypad lock I have on the front door using their own individual passcodes. Interaction with GuestsI will most likely be out of town so the only interaction with guests will be via email or telephone. Also, in your inquiry please include your reason for visiting Dallas and a brief description of the individuals that will be staying in my home. The SpaceThis space includes a queen size bed, dresser, closet, Roku TV and attached private bathroom. It's located on the 3rd floor on the back side of my home away from the street noise of downtown Dallas. Guest AccessThe rental includes shared access to the kitchen and living room on the second floor, the laundry facilities and the rooftop deck. Parking is not included with this listing. There is a business lot behind our street that allows free parking in the evenings and on weekends or street parking can normally be found within a couple of blocks during the day. Interaction with GuestsI enjoy meeting new people and welcome interaction with all of my guests but also am respectful of their privacy and time and as such will provide as much or as little interaction as my guests desire. I will generally be present in the home during your stay. *** From DFW airport *** If you choose not to rent a car there are 3 ways to get downtown from the airport. A taxi is the fastest way downtown and you can hail one curbside outside of baggage claim and with no traffic you can get downtown in 25 minutes for approximately $50. Uber/Lyft are now allowed to pick up at the airport and you can hail them using their smartphone apps. They can usually pick you up within 10 minutes and the fare to downtown is generally between $27 -$32 depending on traffic. Finally, the DART is the cheapest option but also takes the longest. It runs every 15-30 minutes from about 4am until 1:12am during the week and until 11:42pm on weekends. You should plan at least an hour and a half from when you arrive at the airport to get downtown. The signage for the DART station at the airport is not very good but this is how you get there. First, make your way to the far north end of Terminal A on either the Skytrain (inside security) or the airport shuttle bus (outside baggage claim). From the St. Paul or the Pearl/Arts Center stops it is roughly a 10 minute walk to my house. Other Things to NoteAdditional details and photos about my home can be found on my primary listing - Private Room Downtown Townhouse. My primary guest room will most likely be reserved by a different guest and the common areas will be shared space by all occupants.
