The SpaceThe space is 100 Acres of private forest! Guests can bring a tent, RV, or... stay in the cabin! The rustically beautiful cabin, built in 2013, is completely off the grid! (The cabin is easily accessible in both Summer & Winter.) Solar power provides 12 volt electricity for lighting and recharging electronics. Oil lamps give a beautiful ambiance. Water is gravity fed. The bathroom is equipped with a composting toilet. LP gas powers the hot water, stove, and half-size refrigerator. A natural heating wood stove turns the cooler evenings comfortably cozy. (Note - December 1 - April 14 the cabin is dry. Water will be hauled in for you, and a camp shower facilitates hot showers. Our indoor composting toilet is unaffected by winter temps.) We encourage our guests to bring your own bedding, but bedding available at $15/bed, payable on arrival. (Let us know if you are requesting bedding). Bath towels, body wash & shampoo, percolating coffee pot, equipped kitchen, firewood, and a small library of outdoor & self-sufficiency books provided. Guest AccessGuests can enjoy the secluded cabin, large covered deck, outside camp fires with wood provided, a half mile of cascading creek & waterfalls, miles of hiking trails, and abundant wildlife - 100 acres all to yourself! Interaction with GuestsUpon arrival, guests will be greeted for an orientation to the cabin, the property, and attractions in the surrounding area, which include Letchworth State Park (The Grand Canyon of the East). Housekeeping service comes once a day at a mutually convenient time. Just a quarter mile away, we are always available to respond to the needs of guests. The NeighborhoodThe very best thing about the neighborhood is that there are no neighbors! The property is situated off a seasonal use road, between two wooded ridges. Aside from the occasional vehicle traveling the road, you won't see or hear anyone who is not in your party! We like to joke that the Cabin Creek night-life is dominated by the wildlife... but that's no joke! In addition to the ever-present squirrels, chip monks & racoon, it is very common to see deer and wild turkey in our forest. The yipping-howls of coyotes are commonly heard after dark while guests sit around the campfire, and seldom-seen bobcats can be heard calling in the night several times a year. Very rare pine martin have been spotted on the property, along with bald eagles & great horned owls. Bears do frequent our area, coming from the 7,700 acre wildlife management area across the valley. Believe us or not, guests originally from Montana reported hearing Timber Wolf howls. Then, during the 2015 deer season, an Eastern Timber Wolf was observed as it passed by 2 different tree stands, judging by its extreme size and near-black color (Later in January, long, low howls were heard along the base of the ridge. Definitely not coyotes!). So if you're looking for an experience in a wild area... this is as wild as it gets in the entire Northeast! Getting AroundCabin Creek is in a rural area. Guests will need their own vehicle to get from the cabin to state route 70, from which all area attractions are easily accessed. Other Things to NoteLocation! Location! The cabin is within an easy twenty minute drive to so many attractions: Letchworth State Park (Grand Canyon of the East), Stony Brook State Park, Swain Mountain Ski Resort, The Mount Morris Dam, and 7,000 acres of State Wildlife Management Area. Wine Country Tours start within an easy 40 minute drive in Naples, and Niagara Falls is a little over an hour and a half away!

Just 15 min. from Letchworth Park, Cabin Creek Getaway features a secluded, rustic cabin right next to a cascading stream! With 100 acres of private forest, trails, and abundant wildlife, you can get away from it all, and be alone with just the people you enjoy spending time with! THE SPACE: The space is 100 Acres of private forest! Guests can bring a tent, RV, or... stay in our beautiful, rustic cabin! The beautiful, knotty-pine cabin is off the grid, with options for rustic living or modern conveniences. Oil lamps give off a nostalgic, old-fashioned glow on the knotty pine walls, but solar power also provides convenient 12 volt electricity for lighting (and recharging your electronics!). An old-time, natural heating wood stove turns the coldest of winter evenings comfortably cozy, but the LP gas furnace offers another convenient option. Cabin Creek feels like stepping back in time with your favorite people, but with the comforts of an indoor composting toilet, hot showering, and 1/2 size refrigerator powered by LP gas! Bath, body wash & shampoo, percolating coffee pot, fully equipped kitchen, firewood, and a small library of outdoor & self-sufficiency books provided. We encourage and prefer our guests to bring your own bedding, but bedding is available at $15/bed, payable on arrival. Please let us know if you are requesting bedding. Note: December 1 - March 31 is our Dry Cabin-Camp Shower Season. Due to our exposed plumbing, there is no running water available inside the cabin. Water is brought in for you, with dispensers provided in both the kitchen and bathroom. A camp shower is provided in the bathroom, and with water heated from the stove, hot showering is still available. Our composting toilet remains unaffected by winter weather. GUEST ACCESS: During the winter season, we maintain the road leading to the cabin, so no matter how deep the snow gets, you can drive right in to the secluded site! Our snow removal is provided compliments of John Deere! Our guests enjoy relaxing so many different ways here: Inside the the beautiful knotty-pine cabin, visiting out on the large covered deck, sitting in front of blazing camp fires with wood provided, exploring along the half mile of cascading creek & waterfalls, getting out on miles of hiking trails, and seeing the abundant wildlife - 100 acres all to yourself! Adventurers will enjoy going down the 100' climbing rope to view the hidden water falls... the only way to find them! INTERACTION WITH GUESTS: Upon arrival, guests will be greeted for an orientation to the cabin, the property, and attractions in the surrounding area, which include Letchworth State Park (The Grand Canyon of the East). Housekeeping service comes once a day at a mutually convenient time. Just a quarter mile away, we are always available to respond to the needs of guests. Only one guest party is allowed at the property at any time, so it's yours to enjoy exclusively! THE NEIGHBORHOOD: The very best thing about the neighborhood is that there are no neighbors! The cabin is situated off a seasonal use road, right at the mouth of Cabin Creek ravine. Aside from the occasional vehicle traveling the road, you won't see or hear anyone who is not in your party! We deliver a wonderful experience in a rugged area that is sparsely populated and seldom traveled. Believe us or not, during the 2015 deer season, an Eastern Timber Wolf was observed as it passed by 2 different tree stands, judging by its extreme size and near-black color (later one January night, long, low howls were heard along the base of the ridge. Definitely not coyotes!). So if you're looking for an experience in a wild area... this is as wild as it gets in the entire Northeast! FUN ACTIVITIES: 100 foot climbing rope descending to hidden water falls (On your own). .22 caliber handgun & rifle instruction & target shooting by appointment. Canoe rentals & river float trips by appointment. Guided hikes/mountain biking to beaver ponds & hanging bog by appointment. Hot Air Ballooning over Letchworth Park (Outside Vendor) White Water Rafting in Letchworth Park (Outside Vendor) Fishing at Nearby Wildlife Management Area (On your own). IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE: Location! Location! The cabin is within an easy twenty minute drive to so many great attractions: Letchworth State Park (Grand Canyon of the East), Stony Brook State Park, Swain Mountain Ski Resort, The Mount Morris Dam, and 7,000 acres of State Wildlife Management Area. Wine country tours start within an easy 40 minute drive, and Niagara Falls is a little over an hour and a half away! GETTING AROUND: Cabin Creek is in a rural area. Guests will need their own vehicle to get from the cabin to state route 70, from which all area attractions are easily accessed.
