The SpaceEnjoy Spectacular Sydney Harbour Views from the Comfort of Your Bedroom Ignore the hotels, they charge a fortune for New Years Eve in Sydney, Relax at my place for the weekend with a couple of friends, cook a meal and hang out with Sydney as the back drop. We are right on top of the harbour, 1 min walk to Rushcutters Park and CYC Yacht club, 180 degrees of harbour, full bridge views - You could not get a better vantage point for the NYE spectacular fireworks. Have a glass of champagne at home and watch the 9 o'clock fireworks and then head into town or to the park to watch the midnight ones - either way - its a perfect spot. The Apartment There are 2 large bedrooms, the main has a large bay window and a seat with views taking in the entire harbour. White leather couch and flat screen TV in the lounge room, plus a couple of bean bags to kick back and watch a movie on apple tv. Its a bit distracting sometimes, watching the sun set over the harbour while watching tv or eating dinner, but that's a bonus and no extra charge :) If you need to work there is a desk in my office, again with the harbour as your back drop ... Light some candles, kick back and watch TV with the most amazing view in the world Location We are within walking distance to double bay ferry or the city, simply walk through Rushcutters bay park, up through trendy elizabeth bay, into eclectic Potts point and you are almost there - its a great walk. Or hang out at Darlinghurst and check out the cafe scene - dont be surprised if you bump into a movie star or two while sipping coffee. My favourites are Indigo in Double Bay and Tropicana on Victoria Road Darlinghurst If you are interested, I have a 5 series BMW - its a bit worn from kids but happy to loan it as long as you drive carefully.

      The SpaceThe apartment is fully furnished, with linen and towels included. There is a complete kitchen, laundry facilities (washing machine and dryer) and high speed Wi-Fi inside the apartment. The building is only accessed via a secure swipe pass. This is a one bedroom apartment with ensuite/bathroom. The Apartment is on the 15th floor and has amazing views over Sydney Harbour, which includes the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. It's an old style building with one small heated indoor pool and one large outdoor pool, it's very well maintained. There is a garden with BBQ facilities. The area is in a very old part of Sydney with tree lined streets, easy walk to Rushcutters Bay park and 5 mins from all the stores you will need and train and Bus station. There are numerous restaurants, but if you want you can walk to Kings Cross, Potts Point and Double Bay for 100's more. It's compact and will suit a couple. Guest AccessYou can use the guest parking and will have an access fob to gain entry to the building, the pools and bbq area. Note that the apartment is mainly available from Friday to Monday only. Interaction with GuestsOur property is managed by Urbankeyz while I am away. A staff member from Urbankeyz will be there to welcome you show you around the apartment and tell you about the local information. The NeighborhoodThere is an easy walk to Woolhara and Paddington. Double Bay is on the other side of the point, where you can shop to your hearts content. The area has a lot of history and a walk around Darling Point is a must. There is a very cute locals cafe and deli halfway to the point. The Park at the end is very beautiful and sits on the site of an old mansion over looking the harbour. This is the most practical part of Darling Point, we have the stores buses and trains only 5 mins away, but while you're in the apartment all you see id beautiful views. If you're not a local you can get access to the Australian Cruising Yacht Club in Rushcutters Bay and eat outside in their restaurant and bar. They also look for the occasional crew member if you like sailing. There is an Anytime Fitness 6 mins away. Getting AroundTrains (Edgecliff) and Buses 5 mins away. Ferry to the city at the end of the point 15 min walk Walking distance to Rushcutters Bay park, famous Potts Point, Elizabeth Bay, Darlinghurst Other Things to NoteMake yourself at home and please respect our place! Apartment: - Ensuite bathroom - Ironing board under the ottoman in the living room. - You can even catch a ferry to Circular Quay in the city (15min walk to Darling Point Wharf) Building facilities: - There is a sauna in the bathrooms of the small heated indoor pool area. - The bathroom is an older style bathroom. It has a comfortable communal area and a balcony with a day bed which is great for relaxing and watching the ships sail by. Guest AccessYou will have access to a sauna and small gym located on the ground floor and an outdoor pool. Interaction with GuestsI won't be present so my housemates will coordinate your stay. Alex and Amanda are very nice people who are super easy to get along with. Alex works most nights of the week and Amanda works days so between the two of them you're unlikely to see them at home at the same time! More likely on weekends however. The NeighborhoodDarling Point is a beautiful, leafy suburb surrounded by water. There are a number of waterside parks located just a few minutes walk from our building. Getting AroundThere is a bus stop located in front of our building and Edgecliff train station is approximately a 10 - 15 minute walk. The ferry is only a 2 minute walk from the building. Other Things to NoteYou will be given a key and a security swipe during your stay. These are your responsibility and any loss or damage will incur an extra cost.

The NeighborhoodThe harbourside suburb of Darling Point is known for its desirable real estate. It is mostly residential and regarded as one of the most exclusive and prestigious suburbs in Australia and Australia's most expensive post code. You will probably even see the odd celebrity at the local store a few hundred metres away! History What is now the Darling Point area was originally known as Eurambi, Yarranabbi, Yarrandabbi and Yaranabe by the local Aboriginal people. It was named Darling Point in recognition of Elizabeth Darling, the wife of New South Wales Governor Ralph Darling. During the Sydney 2000 Olympics, Darling Point hosted the sailing events. Parks McKell Park was originally the site of the now-demolished Canonbury House, but is now a public park. Situated at the northern end of Darling Point Road, it has panoramic views of Sydney Harbour and is a popular location for picnics and weddings. It also provides access to Darling Point's ferry stop. 'The Drill Hall' forms part of the Sir David Martin Reserve and was previously part of the Royal Australian Navy base, HMAS Rushcutter. The Drill hall is one of the oldest surviving Australian military buildings and was originally located on Bennelong Point, now the location of the Sydney Opera House. Churches St Mark's Anglican Church in Darling Point Road was designed by Edmund Blacket in 1852 and is now a popular wedding venue. It has hosted weddings such as Elton John's first marriage and the fictional wedding in the film Muriel's Wedding. The rectory, also designed by Blacket, is heritage-listed. Landmarks Craigend Situated close to McKell Park, Craigend is a mansion constructed in the Moorish and Art Deco styles in 1935, including a pair of doors from an ancient mosque in Zanzibar and a traditional Japanese garden. In 1948 the property was acquired by the United States Government as the official residence of the Consul General. It has since returned to the private sector. In 1975 it served as the villain's lair in the Hong Kong/Australian co-produced movie The Man from Hong Kong. The house is heritage-listed. The NeighborhoodDespite being so close to the City and Kings Cross, our neighbourhood is quiet and peaceful and the neighbours are great. There is plenty of all-day parking around the place and a convenience store / cafe a short walk away. Getting AroundBuses to Edgecliff Station leave regularly from right outside, the ferry from Darling Point wharf is a 5 min walk and goes straight to Circular Quay (week days only). On weekends you can walk down to Double Bay wharf and catch the ferry from there (very beautiful trip!). All day car parks are everywhere if you've got a car. Other Things to NoteOur building has a great private area down by the water with grass, a fenced harbor pool and a table tennis table - all of which you can use as much as you like!
