The SpaceThe Rainforest House is just a short five minute drive north-east of Innisfail and five minutes from the entrance to the magnificent Johnson River. Completely surrounded by virgin rainforest this house offers complete privacy and a totally unique experience to interact with nature whilst you relax. The only noises you will hear is the rain on the corrugated tin roof, the babbling rainforest creek, and the local wildlife. This beautifully appointed three bedroom, three level timber home has been constructed to take advantage of the beautiful natural surroundings and allow you to interact with nature whilst enjoying the creature comforts of a modern home in total privacy.
A completely sealed road winds its way up through the rainforest from Innisfail and meets the concrete driveway that will take you down to the first level, a large two car garage. From here you will open the front door to the first two double bedrooms seperated by a fully appointed bathroom complete with louvres that open up to allow views over the rainforest canopy while you shower. The next level is the main living area with the main bedroom and another bathroom. This level also contains the open plan kitchen with every possible utensil that may be needed for the cooking of any cuisine. Two options are provided for dining, you can use the internal dining option or the wonderfully unique opportunity to dine on the balcony that has been built into the rainforest to allow views and hear the sounds of the rainforest environment. This is also where you may see the daily passing of the cassowary as they make their way through the rainforest to have a drink. You may witness many other rainforest birds and animals from this particular vantage point as it has the advantage of being quite camouflaged, quiet and at a level that allows views through the tree canopy. Also on this level is the open laundry with washing machine, dryer and undercover clothesline.
On the lower level you will find a well appointed lounge room that opens onto a large timber deck area that allows guests another vantage pont to take in the magnificent rainforest surrounds. You can then follow the boardwalk down to the fish feeding platform overlooking the large beautiful crystal clear natural spring pool, where you will see the resident turtles and native fish. Lighting is provided to light up the forest at night.
Whether you are staying for two nights or a longer stay, the rainforest house offers guests something completely unique and totally private.
