The SpaceIn a fantastic location opposite Exhibition Park, our lovely townhouse is an good choice for your stay in Canberra. The room itself is small and basic but it's comfortable and you can use the study should you need a desk to work at. If you're interested, please send me an inquiry with your details and the nights requested before making a booking request. Thank you! FYI I have one pet - a python, who lives in a secure tank in the living room. She's harmless and gentle and often wins over even the most ardent of snake-haters, but if you have a phobia then this probably isn't the place for you :) Guest AccessGuests have a simple bedroom with a double bed, wardrobe, bedside table and reading lamp, and have access to their own private bathroom opposite the bedroom. Towels, soap, sheets etc. will be provided by us unless otherwise arranged. Simple breakfast (toast, cereal and tea/coffee) can also be provided on request. We have a kitchen well-stocked with appliances and a lounge room with large tv that you are encouraged to use. You will enjoy fast wireless internet thanks to our NBN connection! Interaction with GuestsWe are two friendly young scientists/ecologists, with frequently busy work/social/fieldwork schedules. We will be around, but not always home. Occasional shared meals/bottles of wine are always enjoyable though! We are also very happy to give advice about things to do in Canberra. The NeighborhoodWe live in a large complex of townhouses. It's pretty quiet and it's just on your left as you come in to Canberra from Sydney. The best thing about our location is the proximity to Exhibition Park, which holds the farmers market, races, animal shows, the Folk Festival, Summernats, the Canberra Show and various other events. Getting AroundThe townhouse is located near a bus route with a bus stop located nearby on Knox St (5 minute walk max). If you're planning to travel by bus, please look up the route/times in advance so that you can plan a route stopping at this bus stop. Other stops are approx. 15 min walk away. We usually have a bike or two available to borrow to get around if that's more your style (approx. 20 min ride into the city). We're also happy to arrange pick-up and drop off where possible. Free parking is available in the complex for guests although space can sometimes be limited. Please let us know if you have a car - we will leave you the driveway to park in if possible. Other Things to NoteThere is only a small fenced courtyard and a small unfenced front grassy yard so our place is not really suitable for pets left during the day. We may accept older or small dogs indoors for a short term stay if they are supervised.

A 15 minute walk (or 5 minute drive) is a major shopping centre (Dickson). Here you will find many restaurants, fantastic pubs and bars, a Woolworths supermarket and other shops and services. The City is an easy 10 min drive away. Getting AroundThe bus stop is just around the corner, on a route that takes you to the city centre. There is plenty of car parking available at the house, which has easy access to the city, universities, and main tourist sites such as the Museum, Gallery, War Memorial and Questacon. Canberra is also well equipped with cycle lanes and paths to many destinations.
