The SpaceGet away from the stress and demanding lifestyle for a weekend and even longer by enjoying the privacy and solitude offered by our large and modern lakefront property. This treasure trove is located on top of a mountain so you will have some of the best mountain views in winter as the leaves shed and even better lake views throughout the year. An amazing piece of lakefront property, the house is large enough to be an ideal holiday location for families with children. Enjoy complete privacy and seclusion as the house opens up to a 10 acre private lake with no other houses in sight on the lake. Great views are not the only things that the house comes equipped with! It is also completely updated and modernized so you will have the amenities that you need at hand. The kitchen is fully functional and equipped for creating a cozy meal for two or a family feast for 6. Get the barbeque grill going and let the fragrance of home cooked meals waft in the air! The lake front is the perfect place to enjoy the sights and sounds of nature while you simply sit by the lake and soak it all in. You can try some boating and fishing on the calm waters of the lake but steer clear of swimming as it is not allowed. Located within 5 miles of the house, a County owned lake nearby (small fee) and a beautiful natural and secluded beach off Delaware River are perfect places to go swimming. Other activity options that you can enjoy are hiking, skiing, bike riding, and horseback riding. Poconos Environmental Education Center (PEEC), Dingmans Falls, Childs Park and Delaware River are all within 5 miles of the lakehouse. If you feel the need to venture out, visit the few restaurants, a bank, delis, beer depot, and general stores nearby in Dingmans Ferry. Milford (12 miles) is a charming and well maintained little historic town with shopping, art galleries, and restaurants; it will be the perfect place to spend a fun afternoon. The lake house has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, updated kitchen, dining area, huge deck with plants, indoor fireplace, outdoor fire pit, 3 kayaks, a 5 person paddle boat, and a propane barbecue grill. The master bedroom has a king size bed with a private bathroom. One bedroom has a full size bed and the other bedroom has bunk beds. There is a futon in the living area. Everything you need is provided including linens, towels and kitchen appliances. We use green cleaning products and supply New York City tap water for drinking and cooking. The well water is very safe for drinking but has a slight sulfur odor sometimes. There is high speed wireless internet. There is NO TV but you could watch online movies from your device. We believe a television is a distraction when you are in a place as beautiful and serene as the lake house. There are lots of books, a guitar, games, and of course, lots of nature. Enjoy the evenings with your family and friends, lounging around on the superb deck area or in front of the indoor wood fireplace. Spend your evening sitting around the outdoor fire and toasting marshmallows! The yard sitting at the lake is a great place for hanging out with a hammock to laze around in as the serenity of the lake surrounds you. We strive to make your stay memorable and enjoyable by providing a high level of service. However, spending time in the lap of nature with people you care about is what will make this the most satisfying experience for you.

The SpaceEverything about this house is unique. Whole trunks of trees are the major structural support, Two fireplaces, one in the master bedroom, a loft, two beautiful barbecues built for the house. The house sits on the very edge of Stokes State forest, and so is surrounded by hiking trails, several of which are within walking distance of the house. Guest AccessGuests will have access to all of the house except the basement. Guests will have lake access for swimming at the beach, and use of owner's paddle boats. The NeighborhoodGenerations of families live on Culver Lake, and the community surrounding the lake is thriving. The beach and clubhouse are complete Norman Rockwell, but with good food and interesting people. Lots of kids. Playground. On the other hand, if you want to avoid people, the forest behind the house connects to the Appalachian Trail. You can walk to Sunrise Mountain. Getting AroundWe are only accessible by car or by way of the Appalachian Trail, which runs right by the property. We are sixty miles outside of NYC. The lake (5 minutes walk down the road) is almost always private for your use, as it is rarely used by Hiram's Grove residents. Sandyston Township goes back to the 17th Century. Located in northwestern Sussex County, natural beauty abounds here with the Historic Delaware River running full length of the township on the west, and the picturesque Blue Mountain range on the eastern side which creates an almost isolated area from the rest of Sussex County. Sandyston Township includes Stokes State Forest and the Delaware Water Gap Recreation Area, which renders 70 percent of the township tax exempt. By Royal Patent in 1762 Sandyston Township was established. The area along the Delaware River is rich in Minisink Indian culture. The Minisink was a tribe of the Lenni-Lenape Indians. As the early settlers came to our area from Europe, the Indian lands were purchased and settlements were created. The Old Mine Road runs full length of Sandyston and follows the Delaware River. This road is thought to have nothing more than an Indian path, improved by Dutch miners between the years of 1632 and 1650 to transport copper ore from the Pahaquarry copper mines in Warren County to Kingston, NY on the Hudson River.
