Tucked away in the foothills of Snowdonia, North Wales, Ffynnon is as close to the Mr & Mrs Smith rural B&B ideal as it’s possible to be. With just four rooms and two suites, it’s gloriously intimate; and its blend of Victorian references and seriously stylish 21st-century design flourishes forms the ideal backdrop to a relaxing weekend in the country. The hospitality on offer is second to none.

The SpaceMy house is a stone terraced building built approximately 220 years ago. When I am not renting via Air Bnb, I live there , as I work part time in the area, so there will be items in the kitchen at your disposal such as milk, butter, sauces, etc, which I am more than happy for you to use. If I can assure you that the house will not have any clutter as I keep all my stuff in my own private room, and it will be presented as a holiday home. I ensure clean duvets, and mattress and pillow protectors, and mats in shower will either be new or have been through a very hot wash prior to your stay. Entrance is to the front of the house into a large lounge area with seating for 4 (including a comfortable 2 seat sofa). Also real flame gas fire, central heating , television and BT wifi available. There is also a desk and office chair for those people who may need to do some work. :-( From the lounge there are stairs leading to both upstairs and downstairs. Upstairs there is the use of one double bedroom (one double bed) with central heating radiator and window. Bathroom with toilet bath and shower over bath also on this floor. Downstairs in basement is the kitchen area with gas hob and electric cooker, fan ventilation, fridge freezer, microwave , and all necessary kitchen crockery and cooking pans/pots to include steamer, slow cooker and pressure cooker. Table and chairs to seat 4 people. Door to garden area to include some garden furniture and BBQ. The house can accommodate up to 2 guests in double bedroom, but there is a sofa bed in lounge to sleep extra person/s. If you could ask at time of booking. As the house is situated on the road, you may notice some traffic noise. This is unavoidable due to situation of house. But if I can reassure you that at night time, it is generally quiet, and you should not be distracted by it. I think the situation of the house and the space it affords guests, is well worth tolerating a little noise pollution - so I hope this does not deter you. I do have neighbours, but thick stone walls deter any noise, so you won't hear them. But of course, if I could ask that you be respectful of their presence. I do of course have my guests in forefront of my mind when preparing for their stay but if there is anything you think I could improve upon, then please let me know, either personally or via AIRbnb. Thank you for reading Guest AccessThe whole house and garden. Interaction with GuestsI can meet with guests if I am in the area. If unable to meet personally I will always be available to give advice or assist with any queries by contacting me on my mobile phone. The NeighborhoodIt is a lovely unique welsh town where local people still speak welsh as their first language. There are interesting buildings to be found as you walk around and the river Afon runs through the town eventually opening out onto the estuary (Mawdach). The view of Cadair Idris is clearly visible from the town and indeed is only a short drive away if there is interest in walking up it. There are many beautiful walks in and around Dolgellau and information can be obtained from the local tourism office situated in centre of Dolgellau. Getting AroundThere are buses to neighbouring towns of Bala, Machynnleth, Tywyn , Aberystwyth , and Porthmadog and Pwllheli in town centre - 1 minute walk from house. Ask at information office nearby for further details/timetables etc. Other Things to NoteAlthough it is advertised to sleep 2 in double bed. There is a sofa bed in lounge for use of guests if need be.
