The SpaceThis is a ground-level, one-bedroom apartment in a quiet residential area. Although the crime rate is very low, we have fitted burglar bars throughout, and all of these have fire escapes. The apartment is modern clean, comfortable and fully furnished. It has tiled floors throughout, apart from the lounge, where there is a traditional wooden floor. There are ceiling fans, and also air con in the bedroom. We have dual voltage and WiFi . The kitchen has a gas cooker, fridge, toaster, microwave and kettle. There is a safe, hairdryer, iron and ironing board. All linen and towels are provided. There is a shared top-loading washing machine available in the car port, and there is a sheltered BBQ area and garden which you are welcome to use once we have briefed you on safe operation of the barbeque.           The SpaceWe furnished this unit as though we were going to live in it. Most rentals are furnished with wicker furniture as it is cheap to replace. We enjoy walking into the unit after a day at the beach and feeling like we are in a home. We have been fortunate with those we have rented to as they have maintained and appreciated what the unit offers. The unit, which is about 15 minutes from the airport, is 1600 square feet with three bedrooms and offers a partial view of the ocean. The unit sleeps 6 (2 queen beds and two twin beds), however, we can accommodate a 7th or 8th renter (ask for details). There is also a large, amazing balcony. The unit which is on the second floor, one level above the street, is located across the street from the beach. The Kitchen is modern and fully equipped. There is a washer and dryer in the unit. Each unit has 1 assigned parking space in a gated lot in the back of the building. Please contact us for more information or if you have any questions. Guest AccessGuests will have access to all the unit has to offer. All linens, including beach towels, are provided. Each bedroom and the living area has air conditioning and ceiling fans. There is also a safe in the unit to secure your valuables. Maid service is also provided at no cost to renters. You will also have the phone number of our managing agent should you need to reach someone while on the island. The NeighborhoodEverything is within walking distance. The local Bajans are nice and the area has a real local feel. A must is going to Oistins on Friday evening for the fish fry. Oistins is about 15 minutes away and is the main fishing port of the island. On Friday evenings many locals and tourists head to Oistins for the fish fry. The food is outstanding and reasonably priced. It's a carnival like atmosphere and you will truly get a feel for how the locals do things and really enjoy yourself in the process. Spending a day on a catamaran (brochures can be found in the unit) is a great excursion. You will snorkel around ship wrecks and swim with sea turtles. Lunch is provided as is an open bar. Getting AroundTaxis and public transportation is readily available. Other Things to NoteRenting a car is not really necessary as The Gap has so much to offer, all within walking distance. You can hire a local taxi driver to take you on a tour of the island. Most excursions you can go on will pick you up and drop you off at the condo free of charge.

                      Sapphire Beach is one of the newer luxury condominium properties in Barbados. It was opened in December 2009 and apartments have been in use and rented out since then. A few apartments are still available for sale. Some of them (not all) which have been sold are offered privately here on this site for short term holiday rentals. Sapphire Beach is an extremely attractive 54-apartment complex designed by renowned architect Ian Morrison. It consists of 3 separate building blocks, made up of 18 two bedroom and 34 three bedroom apartments which all face the ocean. It has over 370 feet of incredible white sand beach frontage which is on the much longer Dover beach. Its design and layout while very attractive also ensures that every apartment benefits from direct views of the gorgeous Caribbean Sea and expansive white sand beach directly in front. Sapphire Beach offers a level of comfort, luxury and amenities rarely found on the south coast but more typically so on the west coast of the island.
