The living space is stylish and warm with lots of light. Aside from my private space, guest space is about 700 square feet. It has modern furnishings, a covered balcony overlooking well maintained courtyard, and all the essential items necessary for home living while away. The bed in this guest room is a FULL size.
I can provide parking.
All areas are shared except, of course, the master bed and bath. I will not be accessing the guest room and bath during your stay. The shared areas include the kitchen, living room, dining area, and patio. Guests always take priority of space. Essentially, my schedule will make me a ghost. My presence is primarily keeping the place tidy. Please just make yourself at home.
I hope I'm successful providing guests with all those "necessities" that are inconvenient to pack; fresh linens, towels, hand soap, tiolet paper, etc.. I'll take reasonable requests.
Guests will also have access to laundry.
Interaction with Guests
I'm a friendly and accommodating host. I like everyone to feel welcome. LGBT friendly. I like to start with a quick "orientation" upon arrival. I'm available for questions, suggestions, and travel planning. I also welcome all feedback. I will do my best to provide you with the necessary information to make your visit wonderful. The amount of interaction is based on availability and chemistry. I do my best to let guests do their own thing. You never know-- if you catch me on a free day I may invite you on a day trip to the coast or wine country.
The immediate neighborhood is known for its tree covered pedestrian walkways and streets, urban parks, and water fountains. The location boasts convenience. Walking distance to Portland State University, South Park Blocks, Keller Auditorium, Schnitzer Hall, Portland Art Museum, OMSI, Pioneer Courthouse Square, Waterfront Park/Tom McCall-Eastbank Esplanade loop and it's historical bridges, and Saturday market. Food carts, convenience stores, restaurants, a dry cleaner, a grocery store, and bicycle rentals are also in the neighborhood.
Public transport is literally at your doorstop. The Portland Streetcar and several bus lines are right here. I would recommend car2go and zipcar (shared car services) which are plentiful in this neighborhood for day trips.
Other Things to Note
This accommodation is recommended for early risers; our summer mornings in Portland can sometimes start with beautiful sunshine and the bedroom windows face east. Yes, I have window coverings but they are not blackout shades.
Naturally NO SMOKING! Sorry; not even on the surrounding premises. Quiet hours are from 10pm to 8am. Noncompliance is subject to fines. I also have a few minor rules; no shoes, where to place things, etc... of which I will go over upon arrival..... Not to worry; nothing compromising.
