The SpaceThis is our summer home. My father hand crafted this cozy 600 sq. log home. It has a walk out master bedroom with a beautiful gas fire place. There is a wood fireplace on the main floor, that is temporarily out of service at this time. I hope to have it fixed for fall 2016. At this time there is only one queen bed and therefore only two people can rent it. There is a modern quaint kitchen and bathroom with Jucuzzi tub with steam bath. In the living room there is a 42 plasma TV. and recline couch and reclining rocking chair. BBQ on the front deck. Laundry facilities are available. This is my summer home and I block off large date ranges. Don't hesitate to ask if a date you are looking for is available even if it is blocked off. Thanks Guest AccessThe water front and dock is shared with other guests Interaction with GuestsI will not be present when you rent my home but can be contacted at any time to answer any questions you may have. The NeighborhoodThe setting is rural residential, and as such is a quiet neighbourhood. So loud boisterous behaviour will result in expulsion from my home and money will not be refunded. Getting AroundThere is a small parking area for one car. I am not interested in renting to "fishermen" that would normally go to tourist establishments. As there is no room for boat and trailer. I am looking for travelers that may use the water but fishing is not the main past time. Other Things to NoteThe water comes from the river and is filtered for sediment only. Our water is safe to drink but is not purified with chemicals. We have tannin in the water that gives it a colour. Bears There is occasionally bears in the area. They are more afraid of us than we are of them. My philosophy is that bears have people problems. Garbage removal is important so as to not attract bears. I remove all smelly garbage daily into town. Fish guts I leave fish waste on shorelines away from peoples property. NEVER throw them IN the water. Eagles will clean them quickly
