Peffley's Canadian Wilderness Camp is located 12 miles out (a short 20 minute ride in our SAFE and comfortable 21' fully enclosed passenger boat) on Wabaskang Lake, and has eight modern housekeeping cabins. We are the only TRUE (not road accessible) wilderness camp on the lake and we are the ONLY camp on the north end of this 15 mile long lake. As a boat-in camp, we offer our guests the best of both worlds by providing your group a remote fishing destination (only accessible by boat or plane) where you will experience outstanding fishing for Walleye, Northern pike, Smallmouth bass, Jumbo perch, Lake Trout and Whitefish without the costs and restrictions associated with a fly-in trip and enjoy it in a true wilderness environment. Wabaskang Lake is well known for its excellent fishing for Walleye, Northern pike, Smallmouth bass, Jumbo perch, Lake trout and Whitefish. Our guests enjoy fishing for all these species from within a 15 minute boat ride from camp. An easy portage over Hobson Falls will provide guests the opportunity to fish waters that also have a very good populations of Lake Trout, in addition to excellent fishing for walleye, northern, smallmouth and perch. By boat or foot portages, you can fish as many as six other lakes from camp at no additional cost.USD FUNDS. Everything will smell clean, look clean and BE clean. Your cabin rental will come complete with all your bedding, dishes and cooking utensils, a full size propane stove for all your cooking needs, a refrigerator for all your perishable food items, a wood burning stove for those cool nights or mornings (we keep your wood box in your cabin full for you), flush toilets and a hot shower. Electricity is provided 24/7 via generator with a back up generator on site.Family vacations are best in July and August. The weather is generally warm and dry, and yes you can swim in Canadian waters this time of year. The kids can enjoy swimming off the dock (we provide the ladder) or one of the sandy beach areas around the lake, volleyball, soccer, badminton, and many other games we have in camp. Softball games have been known to break out in camp on the lower lawn when kids are in camp too.Eight guest cabins are located in camp and are available for your group. Each cabin rental provides its own unique view of the lake, and has its own private deck. In addition, there are a number of gas and charcoal grills in camp available for guests to use. (propane, charcoal and lighter fluid is provided).The camp also has a separate shower house facility with two additional 3 piece baths which can be used as an overflow for your group's convenience.A non-refundable deposit of $200 per person, per week (for multiple week reservations) is required in order to hold your reservation. Deposits must be paid no later than January 1 of each year to guarantee your reservation, or within 10 days of booking for reservations made after January 1.
