The SpaceAlso described as 'farmhouse chic', Dulwich Hill Boho House is very comfortable, fully operational, but unrenovated (this will appeal to some but not others!). There are two double bedrooms, a kids room and another single bed in the reading room (shared door to double bedroom). The house also has separate living and dining areas, a large outside table and lots of garden space for kids (young folk) to run and play in. The barbecue is very popular throughout summer. Guest AccessThe whole house. The garage will be locked. The NeighborhoodThe Inner West is Sydney's alternative cultural hub - markets, cafes, great restaurants, live music - and Dulwich Hill is an easy access point to all it has to offer. Getting AroundAs mentioned (a few times now - sorry), the light rail is 200m away (not so close that you can hear it) and the heavy rail is 10 minutes walk away. Both take you into the city (and back again). Other Things to NoteSupermarkets, greengrocers, cafes, bookstores (etc!) are in walking distance (as is the light and heavy rail). It's a lovely area.

The SpaceYou will be staying in the spare bedroom of our top floor 2 bedroom (URL HIDDEN) place is located in a nice tree lined street in a quiet family neighbourhood. It is a short walk to Dulwich Hill shops, cafes and public transport. It really is a great area with all the convenience of city living but without the fuss. The room has a comfortable queen sized bed for 1 or 2 people, wardrobe, bedside and all essentials provided. Guest AccessYou will have access to all of our apartment, with the obvious exception of our bedroom. Fully equipped clean and tidy kitchen, shared bathroom and living areas, balcony with outdoor furniture and BBQ available. We also have an internal laundry that may be available for use on request. You are welcome to use all kitchen appliances and utensils to prepare and cook your meals but remember to clean after yourself. Please help yourself to tea and coffee which we will supply. We have WiFi which you are also welcome to use (but please don't abuse). We hope you will make yourself at home and enjoy staying here as much as we enjoy living here. Interaction with GuestsWe love to meet new people and share stories when time allows. Unfortunately we are not always available for a chat as we are both quite busy with our work. We will always be happy to say hi and try to answer questions you may have and give you some local tips and tricks for getting around Sydney. The NeighborhoodWe live within walking distance to the heart of Dulwich Hill in the Inner West of Sydney, which is becoming increasingly trendy. Despite this, the area remains quiet, relaxed and not nearly as chaotic as the city itself. A great spot to recharge after a day out sightseeing. If you don't feel like cooking a good meal is never too far - Dulwich Hill has many restaurants and cafes to offer 5 minute walk from our place such as the famous Hub House Diner, thai, pizza, sushi, pub etc. You will also find IGA, our local supermarket, is a 5 min walk away if you prefer to buy and cook your own meals at our place, and a bottle shop further down the road. Getting AroundWe have several public transport options within walking distance from our place, which makes getting around very easy. - A BUS stop is located on the main road and is only 5 min walk away. It travels to the centre of the city - approx 40min trip (bus 428). You can also catch the 444 or 445 to Balmain. Walk a little further down the main road, and you can catch the 418 to Bondi Junction. - Also available is the LIGHT RAIL (tram) 5 min walk from here. It takes about the same amount of time to get to the city as a bus but travels via different suburbs. - Lewisham TRAIN station is a 12 min walk from our place and takes you to the city within a shorter time. If you have your own car, street parking can be difficult and you may need to park in a side street. Other Things to NoteWe do have two pet lizards, Bearded Dragons, located in the kitchen. They are quiet, harmless and very friendly. We will be more than happy to introduce them to you if you wish, or keep them behind the glass and out of your way. We ask that you respect them and not handle them when we are not present.

The NeighborhoodDulwich Hill, home to Sydneysiders since the 1800s, is transforming. As a new generation discovers its exceptional city proximity and warm village atmosphere, more and more people are choosing to take up residence in this somewhat iconic suburb. With the likes of ZEUS greek street food, Tella Balls dessert bar and Feel Good Thai restaurant located directly below the apartment (Just hit G on the elevator console), convenience to good food is literally at your doorstep. A short walk walk over to Marrickville road allows for you to dabble your taste buds in a vast array of cuisines, pizza bars and trendy cafes so good food is definitely not in short supply. The neighbouring suburb Petersham offers the likes of Frangos, arguably the best Portuguese charcoal chicken Sydney has to offer along with other interesting places. Just a stone throw away from that is the very colourful and hip Newtown. With it's popularity skyrocketing in recent years, this place is a must go for all Sydney tourists. Culturally Newtown is like no other suburb in Sydney, or, quite possibly, Australia. Here is the highest concentration of live theater venues found anywhere in the country. Newtown is a stimulating melting pot of society. Walking down King Street you can pass Uni students, colorful artists, same-sex couples, elderly locals, wealthy professionals and young families. Newtown's café culture offers a perfect opportunity to sit back and absorb the surrounding atmosphere. Enjoy a coffee while partaking in the favorite local pass time of people watching. There is a refreshing air of tolerance about this place. You can tell there are no expectations made thus you can be comfortable with whoever you want to be in Sydney's Newtown. Taxi / UBER: Can be hailed directly in front of the accomodation. 15 minute drive to Sydney's city centre. I'll be more than happy to personally walk you through your options upon your arrival Other Things to NoteJefferson the cat occasionally resides in this home. He is extremely inquisitive and loves the company of humans so please be kind to him if he is around during your stay. If you are allergic, do let me know and I'll organise it so that he isn't around on the dates of your booking.

The Space2- bedroom, bright and open apartment with floor boards. Outdoor balcony: with herb garden and cute plants. Queens size bed in Main Bedroom. Double size bed in Second Bedroom. Modern, bright and big kitchen: includes freshly roasted specialty coffee Free Wifi available. It's an easy 15-20 min Taxi or Uber ride to or from Sydney airport. It's a 10-15 min walk to either Marrickville or Dulwich Hill train station. It's 7km from Sydney's CBD. Guest AccessThe main entrance to the building has a noticeable double doorway to access the main stairwell, there are 3 levels in the building. Your apartment is on level 2. Interaction with GuestsWhen possible I hope to be here to welcome you and show you around. As this is my home, I will not be here during your stay. The NeighborhoodAs the saying goes.. "Inner West is Best" .. and that's where Marrickville happens to be! Here's a few reasons why I love Marrickville. First, it has a trendy (Melbourne-style) cafe culture. Some of my personal favourites are CornerSmith (this cafe won Sydney's best cafe in 2015), Two Chaps (this garage style cafe is vegetarian and makes everything from scratch and Coffee Tank (this cafe is stones throw away from my house and it does and mean BIG breakfast). Second, it is a densely multicultural community that specialises in Vietnamese food, so if you happen to love pho as much as I do, you'll be in heaven. There are heaps of joints to choose from but the two I like best are PHD Vietnamese and Hello Auntie. Third, The Factory Theatre and Enmore Theatre, which hosts live music and live comedy performances- these are both great venues. And lastly, there are plenty of great bars and pubs- my favourite is the Henson as it serves plenty of craft beers and incredibly high quality food. Aside from all this, Marrickville has a great community which is full of diversity: youth, young families and working professionals. Getting AroundIf you are traveling with a car there is plenty of parking on the street. Very close to airport 15 min drive. There are 2 train stations within walking distance, Marrickville station and Dulwich Hill station both 10 min walk: this train takes about 15- 20 mins to get to Central station and the CBD. Petersham, the Portuguese quarter is a 10 min walk. Trendy Newtown with lots of shops and restaurants is 2.5 km away. Enmore with many places to eat and the Enmore Theatre, a live venue that hosts bands, is only 2 km away. Marrickville's Sunday organic food & farmer's market is a 15 min walk. This is a huge Sunday highlight for Sydney food lovers. The closest shopping centre is Marrickville Metro is a 20 min walk. This a major shopping centre that has groceries, clothes, chemist etc. Other Things to NoteI will supply freshly roasted coffee and an instruction manual on how to use the coffee device, so feel free to go coffee nuts! I have a fish tank, but I do request the fish not to be fed as I will be placing a feeding block in the tank during my absence. Some of the lights are energy efficient, so be patient if they take a while to warm up. I have plenty of plants and herbs out on the balcony, you are welcome to cook with the herbs and if you feel like watering them, there is a watering can on the balcony. Children are welcome, but you have to be mindful of stairs and small items around the apartment.
