He will be around to greet you and say hello, however, he can spend as much time as he needs to in my rooms. Just let me know. Interaction with GuestsI am available to my guests as little or as much as they desire. I do work during the week and my hours vary. With that being said, I am always available via text or email and can answer any questions or concerns when they arise.
I am happy to provide suggestions for events, restaurants, and places to kick back and have a cup of coffee or a beer. The NeighborhoodThe neighborhood is charming and friendly. During the summer months, you may hear my neighbor the bagpiper marching up and down the drive or hear the jingle of the La Pricessa Ice Cream cart as he walks up and down the road.
You will be within walking distance to a wonderfully, fresh taco stand, La Vaquita. Directly opposite, on the other side of the street, you can enjoy a seasonal menu at Four Square Restaurant in an historic Victorian Mansion. Also within walking distance is Guglhumpf bakery and restaurant and Foster's Market. There is a little bit of something for everyone.
Duke University's West Campus is about 1 mile away.
If you like to walk or hike, the Duke University Al Buehler Cross Country Trail is about 2-3 blocks away.
The Nasher Art Museum is just a short drive. And of course, the up and coming Downtown Durham is just a short 5-10 minute drive away.
Oh, and how can I forget, the AAA Durham Bulls baseball club is just a 3-5 minute drive. Inexpensive and always enjoyable summer entertainment.
And that's just the neighborhood! The house is quite charming too! Getting AroundIf you are driving, you will have access to a driveway or on-street parking, whichever you prefer.
There is taxi service from Raleigh-Durham Airport, as well as local taxis if needed.
I am a block away from the local public transit, DATA, bus route 10. This route, like most routes in Durham will take you downtown, where you can then pick up another bus, or walk to wherever you might need to go.
