The SpaceThe spacious master suite has its own private bath with a shower and a separate tub for relaxing. There is a walk-in closet that serves as a breakfast nook with a table and chairs, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and small fridge. The entryway and mudroom is the only shared space as you walk up the stairs to the master suite. As the suite is located above the garage (we park the cars outside if leaving early so as not to disturb guests) it has more of a private feel. The rented suite is large enough to comfortably accommodate an additional air mattress that we provide and set up. It is a new, self inflatable air mattress. The published rate is for a single bed and 2 people, however we are happy to negotiate accommodating additional guests. If asked ahead, we can set up the air mattress in the large walk-in closet to provide a little privacy. Our family does insist that you provide a photo ID and a verification ID through Air B&B, especially if you do not have reviews. We appreciate your consideration in doing so and will not book with anyone who has not gone through this process. The most unique thing about our home/area is the 400 acre conservation/recreation land, accessible from the end of our driveway, for many outdoor activities including, x-country skiing, show-shoeing, hiking, bird-watching, etc. The road to our house is considered a scenic road and has remained an easily accessible dirt road. So you will not hear any street noise but instead the chickens (no roosters!) and occasionally the wild turkeys that pass through our yard. Our location provides for a relaxing walk away from the main road with very few cars, lots of wooded area and pretty homes. Guest AccessGuests have access to our shared entry/mud-room, shared stairs and the private suite to be rented. The rest of our home would only be accessed if we have made arrangements with you. Interaction with GuestsWe expect to be in our areas of the house during your stay. We share the entry/mudroom and stairs to the second floor, so there is some opportunity inside for chance interactions. We are happy to get to know you and we have enjoyed many nice, interesting conversations with our guests. We also understand if you prefer privacy. The NeighborhoodThe best thing about this neighborhood is that we are in the woods, on a dead-end dirt road, with 400 acres of conservation/recreation land across the street, yet we are minutes from all the amenities available in the NH seacoast region. Getting AroundThere are bus services and trains nearby, though not within short walking distance, so you will likely need a vehicle if you plan to go anywhere during your stay. Other Things to NoteWe are 15 minutes away for UNH in Durham, NH. !5-20 minutes away from downtown Portsmouth and its plethora of delicious restaurants to choose from and about 25-30 minutes from the seacoast area beaches.

The SpacePrivate room and bath in Durham less than 1 miles from T-Hall on campus. Great location when visiting campus for school, work or recreation. Eclectic Durham Point property, set in the woods with a contemporary lodge feel. I've renovated the property over the last five years to create a comfortable, live work environment, as I run my business from the property. The original building on the property was an 1880's stone cottage, originally belonging to the family that lived in what is now the Three Chimneys Inn building. The main house was added in the late sixties, as early contemporary design. The guest room is on the first floor of the house, my living area is on the second floor. Guests have access to the entire ground floor area, living space, decks and yard. The entry area has a nice koi pond, the back decks are comfortable seating areas, overlooking the woods with wind chimes, and gas fire tables. The guest room has a comfortable queen bed, TV with cable, closet and dresser storage. There is wireless internet on the property. The bath is connected directly to the guest room and private to guests. Outfitted with marble top vanity, tub/shower unit with glass doors and tile floors. I share the house with my dog, Poo-da-lee, a cock-a-poo. Being a poodle mix, she is relatively hypoallergenic having hair, not fur. Very friendly. Her photo is amongst the pictures. As technically we are not an BnB - although there is always coffee on - we do not serve breakfast. Durham Point is a beautiful area, backing on the Oyster River and Great Bay. We're 1 mile from the center of the UNH campus and 10 miles from Portsmouth. Pricing on the unit is $ 95 Sun-Thurs, $125 Fri /Sat.
