The SpaceThis self-catering home has 3 bedrooms (2 x double, 1 x twin), 3 bathrooms, an open plan kitchen, dining and living room area with built-in braai. The patio and upstairs balconies have undisturbed views of the sea and there is also a Weber for a braai outside in summer. There is also an upstairs area with two double sofabeds sleeping an additional 4 people. The kitchen and utility room are fully equipped with a fridge/freezer/ice maker, microwave, washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher. There is a TV in each room with full DSTV package, DVD players, wifi, a double garage for your use and even a canoe for the adventurous! Guest AccessThe beach is right in front of the villa. The entire home is yours to enjoy. Interaction with GuestsWe have a nearby neighbour who is managing the property on our behalf who will welcome you on arrival. The SpaceC’est La Vie Self Catering offers two 4 star cottages, 'Le Soleil' and 'La Mer', only one street away from the beach. Decor was inspired by Provence Country and Mediterranean styles. Each cottage has 3 bedrooms and sleeps a total of 6 people. The top floor offers one double bedroom, two twin rooms, a bathroom with bath and shower, and a WC. The double bedroom and one of the twin rooms have sea views and open onto the upper sun deck. The sun deck has removable cushions for your comfort. This makes it an ideal place for reading, dolphin spotting and watching the famous West Coast sunsets. Lounge The ground floor has an open living and dining area that opens onto the patio with built-inn BBQ. From here you can enjoy yourself whilst keeping an eye on the children playing in the safe and secure shared garden. The SpaceThe house is equipped with a large outdoor braai (bbq), and includes all the appliances expected from a self catering unit, namely a TV, stove, microwave, fridge and mini oven. The house is open plan and has a mezzanine level for the main bedroom (as such the unit is not recommended to parents with toddlers), which has queen bed and ensuite toilet. A large, semi-circular window opens the main bedroom to the outdoors and provides stunning light. The downstairs second bedroom has a double bed, and an ensuite toilet and shower. Linen is provided but guests do need to bring their own towels. Guest AccessThe Slakkepas complex also has a lapa and clubhouse available to guests, with a swimming pool, pool, table tennis and foozball. There is also a jungle gym for kids. The security and the facilities make it ideal for families, however the house provides enough privacy for more romantic stays. Interaction with GuestsI will be able to help by phone or by email with any questions or concerns. The NeighborhoodThe biggest attraction in Dwarskersbos is the endless stretch of coastline. The beach is a 5 minute walk away. It's a safe swimming beach for families and is great for recreational ski kayaking, body boarding and surfing. For more serious surfers, Elands Bay is 55km away and makes a fun day trip. Anglers can enjoy surf fishing from the beach or take a 10 minute drive to the Berg river mouth or the Laaiplek harbour - both popular fishing spots. The nearest town is Velddrift and is 7km away. Vredenburg is a bigger town 30km away. Dwarskersbos is only 150km from Cape Town. Getting AroundPrivate transport is needed. Please find the distance between Slakkepas on popular destinations below: Elands Bay: 55km Veldriff: 7km Paternorster: 52km Langebaan: 55km Cape Town: 150km Other Things to NoteBecause Slakkepas 41 in situated within a secure complex there are complex rules that must be adhered to at all times - these are in place to ensure that all guests and residences can enjoy Slakkepas: • There is a no tolerance policy for the violation of complex rules, contravention of the rules may result in a fine or you can be evicted from the premises. • Music must be played softly after 23:00 without being a disturbance to other residents, no inconsiderate behavior will be tolerated, take other people into consideration at all times • Garbage bags should not be placed in the street, but kept on the premises, garbage collection is Monday mornings before 08:00, please put your garbage bags out Sunday/Monday , in front of the blue gate for the staff to collect. • Pets are allowed if the house is pet friendly, but pets must be controlled by the owners, dogs must be on a leash and each owner is responsible to clean up after his pet. • Owners with boats have to take parking into consideration inside the complex in peak season. • Each owner of a unit is entitled to one parking space per unit. • The use of quad bikes inside the complex is allowed between 08:00 and 12:00 and 17:00 to 20:00. Disturbance to other owners must be taken into account with the use of quad bikes inside the complex. • The speed limit inside the complex is 20 k.p.h. • No fireworks are allowed inside the complex. • Only homeowners and tenants are allowed in the pool area. • Children and people who cannot swim should always be accompanied by a responsible adult. • Alcoholic drinks are totally prohibited in the pool area as well as all glass, sharp or dangerous objects.
