Metro bus services are close by and the Airport Bus runs to the airport. Ferries and river taxis depart from nearby Sullivan's Cove. The SpaceThis property is in the quiet and leafy neighbourhood of residental Sandy Bay. The apartment is fully self contained, with a private bathroom, washing machine and access to an outdoor clothes line. The kitchen is complete with cook top, oven and microwave, quality cook ware, appliances, utensils, glass ware and crockery. Contact me prior to your arrival to discuss the possibility of having a welcome pack, picnic hamper or breakfast pack available for you on arrival. Guest AccessOn arrival, enter the property via the driveway, the apartment is behind the privacy screen at the end of the carport. An internal courtyard and BBQ area are available for use, as are the seasonable herbs and vegetables from the garden. Breakfast provisions are provided for the first morning of your arrival. Interaction with GuestsIf possible, I will greet you on arrival to ensure you readily settle into the apartment and have access any further necessary information. if this is not possible, I will ensure there is ample local information available to you within the apartment. Otherwise, I am available via email or phone to respond to inquires as and when required. The NeighborhoodThis residential neighbourhood is within minutes of the Hobart CBD, Salamanca Place, Salamanca Market, the casino, beaches, fresh food market, delicatessen and numerous culturally diverse restaurants and boutique shops. Whether your visit is for personal, business or academic reasons your are perfectly positioned to progress your choice of activities. The space is private and quiet providing opportunity to hunker down for a quiet night in front of the television with your feet up or entertain on an intimate level. Getting AroundThe MTT bus stop is 300m from the property on Sandy Bay Rd. and leaves approx. every 30 mins. Taxis ranks are within a very short distance. Off street parking is available on request. Taxis can deliver you to the door from the airport, or otherwise a shuttle bus can transport you to the CBD, whereby you can then jump a cab for the final short leg to the destination. The SpaceThis self contained apartment is absolute water frontage. It has two bedrooms, each with a queen sized bed, plus a well appointed kitchen and living/dining area. There is both a bath and a shower in the bathroom wet zone. there are laundry facilities available too. The views are amazing with constant activity on the water with a passing flotilla of yachts, cruise ships, kayaks and fishing boats. Step out the gate and you are on a public walkway on the shore of the River Derwent. There is even a floating pontoon located near your doorstep for your early morning swim. The apartment is under the owners' residence who are always willing to recommend great things to do in Hobart. All we ask is that you shut the gate as you leave to ensure our very social golden retriever dog doesn't visit the local butcher for a juicy bone. Guest AccessAccess to the apartment is down a steep set of external steps which requires a small element of mobility. Help is always available for a heavy suitcase. The driveway is also quiet steep but guests are encouraged to drive down to unload luggage. There is a self contained laundry. Ample parking is available at street level in front of the residence. Interaction with GuestsSally and Roger will be on hand to meet you on arrival, set you up with key access and help you get your bearings. We love giving information about where to eat and what to do to make your stay more enjoyable. The NeighborhoodWe live within 5 minutes walking distance from restaurants, cafés, a good wine and bottle shop and a wonderful parkland with sports fields and children's playground. Fly a kite, kick a ball, jog or walk along the foreshore or swim out to the pontoon. Enjoy the local eating haunts ranging from Chinese, wood-fired gourmet pizza to one of the best local fish restaurants. There is a local shop full of fresh vegetables and fruit to get your provisions. Catch a bus to the city center's waterfront and then a ferry to the famous MONA art gallery. Getting AroundThe bus stop to and from the city centre is 100 metres away and the bus passes every 15 to 20 minutes. A taxi to the city takes ten minutes and costs around $15. Car rental is readily available from the airport which is a 25 min drive from the (URL HIDDEN) costs $60 for a taxi fare to the airport. The SpaceFor those looking for clean, neat, budget accommodation in a beautiful area of Hobart. The apartment is located on the ground floor of a two storey residence. With easy private access from the street, the apartment features polished tas-oak floorboards and an updated kitchen and bathroom. PLEASE NOTE: The house above is home to a young family and therefore there is some noise between the hours of 7am and 7pm. This is one of the reasons we keep our rates so low. This is not the best accommodation for those looking to spend long mornings in bed or their days at the unit. You can rest assured that the house falls silent from 7pm. Guest AccessLinen, shampoo, soaps, tea and coffee are provided. Guests can either cook their own food using the stove and fridge etc in the kitchen or walk down to the beach and enjoy some wood-fired pizza, fresh seafood or other cuisine from the local beachfront restaurants. Getting AroundThe apartment is situated on a bus route that runs to and from the city and university on a regular basis, although a car is certainly recommended for getting around. The SpaceThis is a very comfortable, original 1950's house, built by Italian emigrants. It still retains the gorgeous terazzo work. Views of mt Wellington are seen from the kitchen window, and the large back yard is full of many fruit trees. Glimpses of the Derwent river are possible from the lounge,whilst a short walk of 200 metres will give you spectacular views of the river Derwent The house is cozy, comfortable and homely. There is plenty of room outside for children to run and play. The main house has 3 bedrooms 1 bathroom. Down stairs is a self contained 1 bedroom area, which is available as extra, or is let separately. Recently have updated with WIFI Having recently travelled Europe and stayed at air BNB. We enjoyed the interaction with our hosts, which encouraged us to commence ourselves. We are excited to be able to offer a comfortable home away from home, to unwind and relax, after a full day of sightseeing The neighbourhood is quite. Although there is a school next door, the only sound generally are children talking laughing and music noises. The location makes it ideal for walking to restaurants, cafe, and generally walking for keeping for. The SpaceOur home is a love cottage house that has recently been updated and renovated. It's a perfect place for families! As it is our main home you will find everything you need to have a great time in the bush. Guest AccessYou will have access to the entire home and acreage . There are also kids bikes and a huge trampoline. Interaction with GuestsWe will be happy to show you around our beautiful home and then leave it to you to enjoy! (But will always be available by phone if you have any questions or need help). The NeighborhoodFern tree is just 15 minutes from Hobart although you feel like you are hours away for the city. And the walking tracks around here are amazing! Getting AroundWe have off street parking. The bus stop is 50 meters from the house. It runs back and forth to town several times a day - metro bus number 48 or 49. Other Things to NotePlease note: We have two friendly cats on the property who wander in and out of the house.

The SpaceLarge light filled house with two sunny bedrooms, both with high stunning views to the Derwent River. One room contains a queen size bed & 1 single, whilst the other has a one queen size bed. The sun room contains a large king single. A simple but efficient kitchen. Washing machine included and a relaxing bath. This place is a rambling, older style, comfortable character home. With a spacious deck, the high river views are what sets it apart. 900m down the hill are the Sandy Bay Beach's surrounded by a fantastic leafy family park, with bbq's, exceptional playgrounds & extensive beach board walk. The beach area has renown restaurants such as Prossers On The Beach, Sandy Bay Beach Wood Fired Pizza & The Beach House Cafe Restaurant. The area also hosts a full range of conveniences such as bottle shop, news agent, chemist, supermarket & sailing clubs etc Enjoy the whole top floor as your domain. 2 queen size bedrooms, spacious living room with tv & sofas. Bathroom contains washing machine & shower over bath. Kitchen & dining/sunroom opening on to huge deck, the entire top floor apartment boasts exceptional views. Private leafy garden, walking distance to shops, beaches & busses (though like most of Tasmania it's got a bit of a hill!) 10 minutes by public transport to the CBD and Salamanca is only 5 minutes by car or cab This is a great middle class area, quite, close & friendly. You may prefer a car or cab to access my street because its a bit steep but because of this I enjoy the amazing views! Guest AccessThe whole place is your, very private. The NeighborhoodI love the neighbourhood, there are a number of parks, local stores, a small primary school and a friendly community feel. It is a quiet and well established area that has easy access to cafes, shops, restaurants, supermarkets, chemists, medical services and beauty therapists. Anything you need is only a couple of blocks away. Getting AroundThere are a number of bus stops within a couple of hundred meters of At Eleven. Buses run regularly and a taxi fare is about $8 to the city. The city centre is only 2.5 kilometers and guests are welcome to use the bicycles. Other Things to NoteThe cottage is an extension of my home in it's ambiance with original art works, luscious linens and a deep claw foot bath. There are many books covering a range of interests, movies and music for guests to enjoy. I pride myself in my hospitality and this has been commented on by many of my guests. Our guests have a boutique, luxurious, self-contained and dog friendly accommodation unit where they can either stay all day and enjoy the comfort and indulge themselves with Reflexology and/or Reiki treatments or, they can come back after a long day touring or trekking over Hobart and the surrounding area relax then either cook a meal or go out to one of the many restaurants in and around Hobart. Our Chalet is well appointed with modern furnishings, luxurious bedding on a super king-size four-poster bed. The Chalet is located in the grounds of our property where the emphasis is on sustainable living, that is, the house has solar hot-water and PV Cells, the gardens are being converted from all flower garden to vegetable and fruit producing gardens. The Chalet has it's own fully enclosed garden that is designed to be dog escape proof. We allow dogs on the property and inside the Chalet providing documentation can be produced showing that vaccinations have been made within the required period for Hydatid Tape worm and Parvo. We also require proof of treatment of dogs for fleas and ticks (please visit our web site for more details). Our Chalet is located close to the Hobart CBD where there are shops, museums, galleries, restaurants and access to the wharf for the ferry to MONA, the Lady Nelson sailing vessel and many other tours on the Derwent River.

Getting AroundMost guests hire a car collected at Hobart airport and then drive 15 to 20 minutes to Chateau Capri. Alternatives are the Airporter Bus or a Taxi. The apartment can accommodate a single adult or a couple only. Built in 2013 and fitted out to a very high standard, The Gardens Apartment is completely self-contained and will appeal to the discerning tourist or holidaymaker who would like to enjoy some of Hobart’s fine restaurants but who also appreciates having the use of a serious kitchen while away from home - featuring gas cooktop (with flame-fail detection), 3 function oven, dishwasher, fridge and washing machine. There’s even a coffee machine (Caffitaly pod system). Complementary tea and coffee pods provided, as are some breakfast goodies for our guests' first night. The lounge offers high quality 'Tessa' leather lounge chairs, flued gas heating, High Definition 32" LCD LED TV and Blu-Ray/DVD/CD player and a selection of movies for your enjoyment. Interaction with GuestsAs travellers, we enjoy interacting with our guests and discussing things to do and see in Tasmania - it's one of the reasons for us having a tourist accommodation. But if our guests prefer a more private stay, that's fine with us too. The NeighborhoodThe leafy suburb of Taroona is situated just south of the city on the western shore of the River Derwent. There is a single winding access road that has dedicated bicycle lanes, providing the ideal environment for those who wish to take a scenic stroll or use the road bikes we provide. Getting AroundFor those who prefer not to hire a car, there is a regular bus service to and from the city (about every 20 minutes) and the bus stop is less than a minute's walk from the property. Other Things to NoteWe not only hold an Occupancy Permit from our local Council permitting us to operate a Tourist Accommodation, we are also members of the Tasmanian Hospitality Association and Tourism Accommodation Australia (Tas). We always ask our guests to review our apartment so that you can get an idea of how they have found the standard of our accommodation. We'd like to think that we have thought of everything, but occasionally our guests make suggestions on how we can make our apartment even better. If it's practical to implement those suggestions - we do! For example, the road bikes we offer the use of, came from a suggestion from our first ever paying guest.

    The SpaceCosy ground floor studio apartment in quiet street. This charming family home is situated in beautiful Sandy Bay. Relax and admire the views from the window seat and curl up at night in the romantic bed nook. Experience the unique japanese soaking bath and shower, browse through our book collection, watch a dvd, or play a game. Just about everything you need is provided, and if not our caretaker Ian and other family members live upstairs so feel free to ask for anything, they will do their best to oblige. There is a fold out futon bed and bedding for extra guests. Please note, the bed nook is tucked around the corner from the living space, where the sofa bed is, there is no door separating the two... Unfortunately there is no space for a kitchen, but we have provided for you a microwave, fridge, toaster, kettle, glasses, crockery and cutlery, hairdryer, pod coffee maker, coffee, tea, milk n sugar, breakfast fixings etc. There is also a TV, blue ray DVD player and movies, books and loads of other extras. Guest AccessNothing is shared in this space, it is a self contained ground floor studio apartment with private entrance. Interaction with GuestsWe travel a lot, so may not be there to meet you, however rest assured we are easily able to manage things from afar.... The upstairs of the house is occupied by our caretaker and 2 family members, who will take care of you during your stay. Feel free to ask questions when they are home. Interaction can be minimal if you choose, but Ian, our caretaker is very friendly, helpful and works in the tourism industry so has a wealth of information and travel tips. He is always happy to help if possible. The NeighborhoodSandy Bay is a quiet leafy suburb, with some of the best views in Hobart. There are great cafes, pubs, shops, restaurants, walking and bike trails. The foreshore and casino are minutes away by car, as is the supermarket and the university... Don't miss out on the walking trail to the top of Mt Nelson complete with a great cafe to relax and enjoy the views at the top. Lipscombe Larder is just down the road and is a wonderful deli with a fantastic selection of Tasmanian food and wine. We have made lots of recommendations for eating out, shopping etc, so take a look at the map below or our guidebook. Getting AroundA taxi from the airport is a 25 minute trip. Hobart, the MONA Ferry and Battery Point are only a 10 minute drive away, and MONA is only 25 minutes away by car. Sandy Bay is a hilly place, hence the great views. Buses are only a five minute walk away, but the hills may be a challenge, we do recommend having a car, there is a lot to see close by, and a car makes it really easy.

    The SpaceThe accommodation is a modern purpose built private secure studio totally self contained in a bush setting with mountain views. We are located in the foothills of Mt Wellington just 12 minutes from Hobart's city centre and 5 minutes from the beachside suburb of Kingston. The studio has its own bathroom and kitchen with, heaps of parking and its own outdoor area. Our neighbourhood consists of people who want to live on acreage, in private surroundings but close to the city. We are well travelled early retirees, who spend our days in the garden and bush walking. To stay with us however you will need your own transport, as the nearest public transport is a 3 kilometre walk. Our home is approximately 100 metres from the studio. There are a number of mountain walks within close proximity, some very easy and others more challenging. These can range from short walks to day trips depending on your needs.Or if it's Summer and you want the seaside, you are only 5-6 minutes away at Kingston Beach or Blackmans Bay. At the top of our road is a fabulous "country style" mountain tavern with lunches and dinner 7 days a week. At the other end of the road (Kingston) you have all the restaurants and fast food outlets you need. ' MOBILE PHONE coverage is excellent Guest AccessGuest are welcome to use the grassed area outside the kitchen window and the areas immediately in front and to the rear of the studio. Interaction with GuestsThe interaction with guests is purely dependent on their wish to do same, save for their arrival and departure. The NeighborhoodThe area is predominantly bush/rural but is close to the city and suburban Hobart area. There is a tavern at one end of the road (FERN TREE) and McDonalds, KFC, Hungry Jacks and Dominos at the other (KINGSTON) Getting AroundIf you wish to use bus transport to Hobart city this can be accessed at the Fern Tree end and there is parking near the bus stop. We are about 3kms from the Tavern and 6kms from the fast food end. Other Things to NoteThere is a boundary electric fence which comes on at dusk. This is used to deter wildlife from climbing the fence to access the garden area and building roofs. It does not kill wildlife but gives them a sufficient warning. THE FENCE WHILE IT IS SOME DISTANCE FROM THE ACCOMMODATION IS NOT TO BE TOUCHED AT ANY TIME.......

    The SpaceKunanyi House is a beautiful self contained retreat on Mount Wellington in Fern Tree, Tasmania. The McGlashan designed 4 bedroom house harmonizes with its natural setting. Enjoy the peaceful gardens, tranquil reflection pools and mountain walks...all just a 10 minute drive away from the centre of Hobart. Built in 1969 Kunanyi House was designed by David McGlashan to provide a space which allows a family to live with nature. The floor to ceiling windows in each of the rooms bring the light, different aspects of the gardens and the mountain into the living spaces. The architecture and landscaping have elements of a Japanese aesthetic creating a contemplative atmosphere. Aspects of the design are shared with McGlashan's other creations such as the Heide II Museum of Modern Art in Melbourne. The surrounding rainforest and it's wildlife create a sense of being immersed in Nature despite being only a 10 minute drive from the centre of Hobart. Guest AccessKunanyi House is a spacious house with tranquil landscaped gardens to which guests will have full access. The main living area has a wood fire and view over the reflective pools. A large fully equipped kitchen with dining area has french windows leading out to the garden. There are four bedrooms - three with futon style double beds - and two bathrooms. Outside there are two courtyards with seating. There is parking for 3 cars. It is possible to walk from the house directly to the walking tracks on Mount Wellington. Interaction with GuestsLiving in the neighbouring property just down the hill we are available if required whilst allowing privacy for guests. The NeighborhoodSituated just 10 minutes drive from the centre of Hobart Kunanyi House can provide the perfect base from which to explore the beautiful city of Hobart and its surroundings. The walking and riding trails of Mount Wellington such as the Pipeline Track and North-South Riding Track are on the doorstep providing access to the whole mountain without starting the car. Getting AroundHobart's Metro bus network provides easy access right from the city centre to just 50 metres down the road. Just catch bus 48 or 49 from Franklin Square to Fern Tree and alight at bus stop 25, walk 50m up the hill and we are the first driveway on the right. The bus ride takes 15-20 minutes, and buses travel regularly every day. There is parking for 3 cars at the house and the car trip is about 10 minutes from Hobart City centre, up Davey street then Huon Road. The driveway is the first one on the right after Chimney Pot Hill Road and the Fern Tree sign, so please slow down and indicate early as it is a sharp right hand turn into the driveway. If you reach the main village of Fern Tree or the road to Mount Wellington summit (Pillinger Drive) you have gone too far. If you don't mind riding up hill a bike is a great way to travel...the ride into town takes 15 minutes, and coming back about 45-55 minutes. Riding up past the Cascade brewery via Strickland Avenue avoids the busy parts of Huon Road and is the safest route. Walking from town is also possible and takes about 1 1/2 to 2 hours, via the Waterworks and Pipeline track via Gentle Annie Falls. Leave the track once you cross Chimney Pot Hill Road then walk up Huon Road about 80m and we are the first driveway on the right.

    The SpaceIf you are looking for a spot that is close to the city, yet feels like you're a million miles away then Ridgeway is your place. At the foot of the beautiful Mount Wellington you are surrounded by bush, paddocks, walking tracks, mountain bike trails, great cycling roads, but yet, all so close to the bustling city of Hobart. Your room overlooks our paddock (which is also home for Max the horse - our resident lawn mower) The view sweeps down and up to the back of Mount Nelson's bushland. The room is filled with all day sun in summer and in winter the sun kisses the top of protected old giant gum trees, which rustle magnificently in the wind. There's pretty much nothing to complain about in Ridgeway other than having to leave. Guest AccessThe suite is relatively new, so insulation and mod cons are aplenty. It has air conditioning and heating, large double glazed windows, queen size bed, sliding doors that lead onto a private deck with a herb garden and an outdoor table and chairs setting. You will have fast WiFi, smart TV linked to all sorts of media, kitchen with induction cook top, microwave and oven. The room isn't completely finished and is missing floor coverings. We have a GPS with car windscreen mounting kit available and a laptop if required. There will also be USB chargers available for your smart devices. Depending on the season and our time availability we can also offer an outdoor bush bath experience for an extra fee (see pictures). Please ask for details. Interaction with GuestsWe are always happy to meet our guests and make sure your stay is comfortable and excellent! I work full-time and my daughter is a full-time student so during the working week we're generally not around until later in the afternoon. I have smart phone with email and can generally text or take a call at any time. I'll keep a low profile unless you need me. The NeighborhoodRidgeway is a truly unique location. It's so close to the city yet feels so far away. Ridgeway is in the foot hills of Mount Wellington so its a little colder than the city (typically 2 degrees centigrade) Its extremely quiet (we live on a no through road). Our closest neighbour is 100m away, through a tree line and over a road so privacy is excellent. Ridgeway is a real community - we have regular meetings about matters relevant to the area, as well as BBQ's and a regular newsletter. You will always see people out and about on bikes, walking their dogs or visiting the well regarded local nursery - Plants Of Tasmania. Once a month the unique Tasmanian Bonsai Nursery opens which is well worth the visit. If you like the outdoors, peace and quiet but with all the benefits of modern living and close to Hobart, you'll find our listing perfect. Getting AroundWe recommend hiring a car for your stay, but we can also arrange free transport to and from the property depending on your schedule. We have a GPS you are more than welcome to borrow too. The distance from our property to Hobart city is 10 km. Other Things to NoteWe have a youngish rescue puppy, her name is Blu. She is guilty of giving lots of love however, she may bark but there's no bite. She's a Border Collie cross with Smithfield so she is quite slinky and sometimes clever. We have to keep her in the yard so she doesn't harass the local wildlife or neighbours chickens.

We have the best fish and chips and wood-fired pizza restaurant within easy walking distance, also Lipscombe Larder with excellent local produce, wines, smallgoods, meals and cakes. There are several other restaurants and cafes not far away. A map is provided in your guest information folder to make it easy for you to find your way around. The beach is nearby, too, yet it's quiet with no noisy traffic. Getting AroundThere is easy access to bus services into town (7 minute walk to bus stop), to the university and to the casino. The University is 15 minutes walk from our house. Plenty of parking for your car, with no time-limits. The main open plan living area is on the upper level and incorporates a brand new fully equipped, open plan kitchen and a dining table with seating for 8 people. The adjacent lounge area flows to an expansive deck via glass sliding doors to take advantage of all day sun and alfresco dining. A gas BBQ is available for use on the deck. Also on the upper level, there are three bedrooms that can sleep a total of 5 people plus one additional baby (cot provided). The family bathroom on this level has both a huge freestanding bath and a walk in shower. MASTER BEDROOM The master bedroom contains a queen size bed and extensive built in cupboards.
