The SpaceA master bedroom with a queen bed comfortably sleeps 2, with a loveseat that is also a single hide-a-bed, should that be needed. The additional bedroom with twin bunkbeds, sleeps another 2 people. The furnished kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and a hot water pot; please note that there is no stove. There is a large family room on the same level as the apartment, complete with a gas fireplace and TV/dvd (WE DO NOT HAVE CABLE SERVICE). We do have a dog, but he is not allowed in the lock-off, in order that we might keep the space comfortable for our guests with allergies. Because this apartment is in the lower level of our home, noise from above is to be expected, and although we try to limit the noise, between a dog, a teenager, and visiting adult children from time to time, you will know that there is activity above! We are located only 35 minutes from Vail, 25 minutes from Beaver Creek, 30 minutes from Glenwood Springs (famous for its hot springs), 20 minutes from 4 Eagle Ranch, and 10 minutes from the Eagle County airport. We are also just minutes from hiking, biking, back country skiing, sledding, and rafting, and it's only a short walk to downtown! Guest AccessThe lower level of our home is shut off from the upper level rooms. The two floors are joined by a stairwell, closed off by doors into the two areas. You will have your own entrance into the family room, and another entrance (with locked door) into your private apartment. Currently, we do not offer our guests the use of the laundry facilities; however, there is a laundromat just 5 minutes away. Interaction with GuestsWe are usually home during our guests' stays. We hope to greet you upon arriving, but will make arrangements if we cannot. We will be available to answer any questions regarding the house, the area, activities, etc. We will respect your privacy during your stay, but are happy to have you contact us with any questions that you might have. The NeighborhoodWhen we moved to Eagle 26 years ago, we chose to because we enjoy all of the outdoor activities that are in abundance in our valley! The town of Eagle also has excellent dining venues, local shopping and coffee shops, and everything is within walking distance! Our home is just three blocks from Broadway St., where many of these amenities are found. Without driving, you can easily get to hiking and biking trails, and the Eagle River. Just a short drive away, Vail and Beaver Creek (both with world-class skiing, dining, and shopping) have activities and events almost year round. The drive through Glenwood Canyon (in which you can also bike on the bike trail or float on the river) is spectacular, and once arriving in the city of Glenwood Springs, you can enjoy swimming in the hot springs, dining, and shopping. 4 Eagle Ranch, a historic ranch just another short drive away, offers ziplining, horseback riding, 4-wheeling, dinner-sleigh or wagon rides, rodeos, and Western Family nights. Getting AroundOur home is three blocks away from the Eagle County transit system, which is a bus route extending from Gypsum on the west, to Vail on the east. A single ride is only $4. The Eagle County Airport is a 10 minute drive away by car, via Highway 6. Colorado Mountain Express is a van service that provides shuttles to and from Denver International Airport, as well as Eagle County Airport. We do provide free parking at our home. Other Things to NoteShould we not be able to greet you upon your arrival, we will make sure to leave you with detailed check-in information, prior to your visit.

Overnight Parking is available on the street immediately in front of the apartment building, only about a 20 second walk. Getting AroundPublic transportation (Eco Bus) is about a 5 minute walk from the apartment. It is $4 per ride, or $8 for a 24-hour period. This bus route services Eagle County Airport, and both Beaver Creek and Vail Ski Resorts. The SpaceWelcome to beautiful Eagle, CO! We are located just 30 mins from Vail and 20 minutes from Beaver Creek. Eagle is a mecca for mountain biking in the summer and a more affordable option than staying in Vail during the ski season. Our backyard is made up of BLM land that gives you easy access to miles of mountain biking and hiking trails. Just down the street you have access to our neighborhood park that has incredible views and is a great place to take the dogs if you plan on bringing them along. Loaded with everything you'll need, the space is very convenient and comfortable. You have your own private entrance. Two bedrooms, one queen and one king room. Both bedrooms share a private bath. You also get a large living area to relax in, watch movies, or enjoy the Wii. Laundry room doubles as a kitchenette with a coffee maker, microwave, toaster oven and mini fridge. The washer and dryer are free to use as well. Just outside of the living room is an attached garage where you can store any large items you bring, such as bikes, skis/snowboards, kayak, fishing rods, you name it. We've got plenty of space for you. The living room comes fully furnished with a sofa and plenty of other seating, the views out the picture frame windows are incredible. A large closet when you walk in can handle your luggage and jackets so you don't have to clutter your rooms. There is a flat screen T.V. and blu-ray player to steam movies via Netflix or other apps. We have the fastest WiFi available to our area so streaming wont be an issue. There are plenty of movies and board games and even a Wii to keep you entertained while you spend time at home. Both bedrooms are private and include their own closets and full length mirrors. There is one bedroom with a king and the other with a queen. You can comfortably sleep two people in either bedroom. If you have more, they can spread out in the living room on the couch or air mattress that we provide along with some bedding. Guest AccessYou have your own private entrance and complete access to the entire lower level of the home, including both bedrooms, bathroom, living area, garage, and laundry room. Interaction with GuestsWhile you stay with us, we will be occupying the upstairs. If we're around, we're happy to help with anything you need. Directions, recommendations for activities and restaurants and even a ride into Vail if we're headed that way. You are our guests and we want to make your stay as enjoyable as possible, don't hesitate to pop upstairs and say hello! We really enjoy meeting our guests. The NeighborhoodThe home is located in the mature, beautiful Eby Creek Mesa neighboorhood. We sit atop a high Mesa overlooking the town of Eagle, CO with amazing views of New York range. You can see for miles all the way to the peaks. Watch awesome storms roll through the Vail Valley with a birds eye view. Trails are all around you for hiking, mountain biking or even off-road wheeling. The location is incredibly convenient with easy, fast access to I-70. There are grocery stores and gas stations close, along with anything else you would need during your stay. Getting AroundWe are seconds from I-70 and a short 30 minute drive into Vail. Get to Edwards in 20 minutes. If you want to head to Glenwood Springs for the day, 30 minutes west. Our location is perfectly situated in Eagle County for fast access to anywhere you want to go. The ECO bus can take you into Vail for cheap and the stop is less than a mile away. Other Things to NoteOne thing you'll want is a vehicle as we are not on any bus route. You could get by with just a bike in the Summer, but be warned we the road to the house is very hilly. If you don't have a car but have a bike, you could ride to the ECO (Eagle County Transit) bus and catch a ride to Vail. Again though, we wouldn't recommend this during the winter months.

The SpaceHowdy! If you're looking for a private place that has the luxury of the city in the mountains, check us out. Guest AccessSeparate apartment in our home with two entrances. 1 or 2 people, 1 car. If you have 2 cars that's doable, but we need to know first. Interaction with GuestsIf you need something, want some recommendations for skiing, mountain biking, or anything else, just knock on the door. The NeighborhoodSmall town vibe and strong community. Warning! The stars, blue sky and views will make you want to move here. Getting AroundWhat's great about Eagle is...everything. In the winter you're close to Aspen, 80 minutes on the weekend. It's a beautiful drive. I ski Aspen Highlands on weekends and most Fridays unless it's a big powder day here. Why? Super steep terrain, no crowds. And, I can ski fresh powder all day at Aspen. You're 22 minutes to the parking lot at Beaver Creek, 35 minutes to either parking garage in Vail. You're 70 minutes to Abasin, 50 minutes to Copper Mountain. Whatever ski area you drive to, there's no traffic. In the summer the best mountain biking in the world (yes, that's right) is right outside your door. A lot of people here came for the winters, stayed for the summers. You can ride your bike to some great brew pubs with a cool patio scene. We're 5 minutes to the Eagle County airport. Other Things to NoteHowdy to dog people! There's an additional cleaning fee for doggies. It's $25.00 for the 1st night, then $15.00 per additional night - up to 7 nights. If you have a doggie you'll need to let us know before you book and we'll send you a Special Offer. Howdy and Hey Now to everyone else! We've worked hard to make a great experience for you. We want you to love it here, we want you to come back. I’m a 70’s hippie. I’ve become more progressive over time, not less so. Renee married me. Bernie was our man, but we’ll hold our noses and vote for what’s her name. We’ve had people stay here who were uptight and not in alignment with our values. They’re not wrong, they’re just not right for us. The Bunkhouse isn’t for everyone, we’re not trying to attract everyone. The ideal guest for the Bunkhouse is someone who's laid back. If you’re coming up hear to nitpick or look around and find something wrong, please don't book with us. Now then. You're staying in an apartment in our house. You'll hear life go on while you're here. We have two Cane Corso's -- they bark. The apartment ceiling is below our kitchen, so you'll know when we're in the kitchen. But unless you're really, really loud, we can't hear anything from the apartment. Stay up all night listen to your music, do your thing. We don't care. We stock the place with organic fruit, cereal, coffee, tea, almond milk. I set the audio and video up to what I've always wanted when I stay somewhere: Sonos home theater system, 4th gen. Apple TV (HBOGo and Netflix) connected to a 43" tv. Directv with built-in DVR. If you want to play your music just download the Sonos app. Turn it up. 1 doggie is fine, so long as they're cool. You can't leave your doggie here alone unless they're in a crate or kennel. Sorry cat people, no cats - no exceptions. Bedding: Sheets: Tencel new age fiber - 600 thread count - made in the USA - Tencel is a natural cellulose fiber made from sustainably harvested eucalyptus trees. Pillows: Euro Luxe Supreme Down Alternative Pillows - covered in extra fine 400 thread count. Comforter: Pacific Coast Comforters - covered in 500 thread count Egyptian cotton - down & feather fill - down provides insulting warmth, allows air to circulate and feels so cozy you will sleep more comfortably and soundly.
