Fagan's Haven offers a quiet, calm place to stay while visiting family or local events. A highlight is the 24 X 48 ft. studio with superior lighting and workspace geared particularly to quilting and sewing but equally suited to writing, drawing, study, small meetings, or just a place to retreat and daydream. Located 30 minutes east of Portland, Oregon off Hwy 212. And oh yes - a superb view of Mt. Hood.

The SpaceMore than just a bedroom, this space includes a small living space where you can relax outside of the bedroom. The living space includes a couch, TV with basic DISH channels, a DVR and DVD player. Or in nice weather, sit out on your private deck. We have great hot water for your private bathroom, stocked with basic toiletries. Enjoy the forested 2 acre property or visit with the fuzzy friendly outdoor cat. Nice places to walk on the property. There is a common laundry room behind a curtain, and you may hear us at times, but we will never disturb you and we try to be very quiet. Feel free to use the laundry room as needed. If you are not a native Oregonian, please know that Oregon is lush and green, and to keep it that way, we get a lot of rain! We Oregonians have webbed feet and enjoy the pitter-patter of the rain on the roof while we are cozy inside. Springtime is often full of intermittent rain and sun, but summers are wonderful and often last until October. Winters are generally wet, but mild and snow rarely make an appearance for a few days a year. Because we live in the forest under the large Douglas firs, it can seem rather dark in the rainy winter when the days are short. Guest AccessCoffee maker in your space. We have a washer and dryer available for your use. Free parking. Toaster. Mini fridge. Interaction with GuestsWe will greet you when you come, but you have your own private entrance and can come and go as you like. We are friendly folks but mostly keep to ourselves and allow you your privacy. The NeighborhoodWe are just a mile and a half from the small town of Estacada located on the Clackamas River. This quaint town has its own award winning brewery, pleasant restaurants, pizza parlors, grocery store, gift shops, antique shops and an art gallery. There are original murals on city buildings painted by local artists and several parks in the town. Estacada has a beautiful new library too. Two state parks are just a couple of miles away, and we just off of HWY 224 that will take you right into the Mt. Hood National Forest for hiking, fishing, and boating. Getting AroundYou need a car to get around, but there is bus transportation to Portland from nearby Estacada town, except on Sundays. This bus is a LONG ride and doesn't run often. Other Things to NoteIf you are not a native Oregonian, please know that Oregon is lush and green, and to keep it that way, we get a lot of rain! There is a LARGE dog on the property. He is contained in a fenced area in the back and has never gotten out. Despite his large appearance, he is just a puppy. A little short on brains and on the goofy side, he may bark, but is totally harmless. He doesn't leave the back yard unless gone for a leashed walk with his owner. CELL PHONES We are in a rural area and some cell phone providers may have spotty service here. Verizon works well, and it seems AT&T does well too. We do have good internet.

Our 5 bedroom, 3 bath home is situated in a quiet country neighborhood outside of Oregon City with amazing views of the Clackamas River and paths on the terraced lawn to the river's edge. This home has been recently constructed (2016) since a fire in January of 2015 burned the original home to the ground. We have made improvements to the original design with the view and our guests in mind. The new house has 3 full baths with showers and also a tub in the master, 5 bedrooms with queen beds and a full futon in the upstairs entertainment area. The home will sleep up to 12. Improvements include wheelchair accessibility to the main floor and updated heating and cooling, as well as an impressive gas fireplace and granite counters. Floors are tile and hardwood. Returning guests who remember the original house will see the same beautiful view and outdoor area with picnic tables and fire pot for roasting marshmallows, as well as easy access to the river for fishing or rafting depending on the time of year. Large, private yard great for gathering extended family. We are on the Clackamas River between Milo McIver State Park and Barton Park, and nearly at the end of a dead-end road. Photos will be updated as decorating and landscaping continues. .
