Most of our guests are regulars and like to just come and go… The NeighborhoodGreat neighbours all round… most of them “long-time” residents. The footpath across the street leads to the end of the Leschenault Inlet. You can see Dolphins here feeding at various times of the day, usually always at change of tide. Following the bike path leads you to Koombana Beach, downtown & around past the waterfront cafes to the lighthouse & Back Beach. There’s a ramp at the end of our street for those who have kayaks… we wheel ours down the street too. Boat ramps are 2mins drive in either direction. Dolphin Centre is a short walk along the estuary. The Quays shops (open till 8pm) and Parade Hotel are only a short walk in the other direction. Most facilities are within 2-5mins drive. One block to bus stop. Easy 20 minute walk to the CBD. Black cockatoos are seen regularly in the trees around the house too.
Noise: WA Law: “The definition of ‘excessive noise’ is - generally music shouldn’t be audible within habitable rooms of a neighbour’s house between 7pm and 7am Monday to Saturday, or 7pm and 9am on a Sunday”. As a general respect within the neighbourhood though, no loud noise after 10pm please. Getting AroundLeave the car behind and walk to the CBD. Enjoy the many cafes, restaurants, cinema, boutique shopping and night life Bunbury has to offer. There is numerous great Pubs for lunch & dinner. There are several cafes along the estuary walk with great coffee. The walk home along the estuary at night is safe & well lit all the way.
Bunbury is surrounded by some of Australia’s most beautiful beaches. Koombana Bay beach is a family friendly beach with the Bay staying calm most of the year. The Dolphin Centre is at the end of the beach and has daily tours. Whale tours are available seasonally. The Back Beach has a surf lifesaving club and is more for those wanting the open ocean and waves, good for the Boogie boards! If you just like walking … follow the beach south dolphins are always making a show. Great dive charters are available to do a course or explore the local wrecks. There’s a cafe near the Surf Club or a pub further up the hill to take in the spectacular evening sunsets on the beach…
There are 3 great golf courses in the region. The no 1 course in the south west is only 10 mins drive away, Bunbury Golf Club. The Sanctuay golf course is 8 minutes drive away and Capel Golf Club 30 mins drive. There are other courses in surrounding areas.
Surrounding Bunbury is an incredible produce area. The fresh food and high quality meat & seafood is a must to enjoy.
