The SpaceMore than just a single bedroom, having your own dining and sitting area makes for a more comfortable stay. Furry children are very welcome in all areas of your space. The bedroom itself is high ceilinged and spacious, this combined with your living space and private balcony, make for a home away from home feel. The complimentary chocolates and port is a small welcome gesture. Pooches will get a bone a fide treat also. We are happy to provide fresh, comfy bedding for your furry child...and you too. Should you choose to smoke your private bbq/outdoor balcony allows you that freedom
The dining area has a bar fridge with freezer, there is also a microwave, toaster and kettle. The fridge or kitchen dresser in your dining area is fully stocked with regular breakfast items such as marmalade/jam/butter/marg.milk and juice. There are also a selection of snacks such as dips and biscuits you are welcome to avail yourself of. A bowl of fresh seasonal fruits will be on your dining room table. A complimentary bottle of Rose in the fridge. Perfect.
(Please advise if you prefer soy or regular milk). Guest AccessYou have private access to your space either via your balcony/bbq area doors, or the front door of the house proper. If you are travelling with pets, the front yard is completely fenced, dog proof and very safe. You can use the front door to access this space. This area will be for your pet exclusively
Your bathroom is accessed through our family room.
If you text prior to your arrival, we will open the double gates and you may drive inside to your car port area, a few short steps from your balcony and access to your entrance door. Interaction with GuestsWhen we travel, we like to do our own thing. We won't be popping in to your space but will mostly be in or around the place. We are currently trying our hand at growing our own vegies, so mostly outdoors. We are always available if you need any assistance.
There is a bbq located on your verandah for your exclusive use. The NeighborhoodWe are only one street away from the town "cbd". But the peace and quiet here is bliss. No truck or road noises, but very close to everything..pub, IGA, chemist, library, doctor, hospital, coffee shops are all easily walked to. You can leave your vehicle safely parked on our grounds and take a break from the road.
We are also part of the well known "Fossikers Way" drive and only a one hour, pleasant drive from the world famous Tamworth Country Music Festival. Drive from Barraba through Manilla to Tamworth and Manilla has one of the BEST old style Aussie Country pubs going, with some of the best country music. The Ever Glorious Royal Hotel Manilla - and no we don't own it. Just love it and the wonderful people who do. Vickki and Tom. There is a daily coach to and from Tamworth, if you'd prefer not to take your vehicle, it would be very safely parked within the confines of our well fenced property. Getting AroundThe only public transport is a Country Link Coach to Tamworth or Inverell, Barraba is a wee little town. Everything is handy. The coach is a daily event and will transport you to and from the Country Music Festival in Tamvegas. Other Things to NoteWe've travelled quite a lot and my background is hospitality, but don't let that put you off! We are older Australians who love eating out and travel, I guess that makes us two members of a huge club.
We also enjoy cooking at home and gardening when weather permits. Please feel free to make use of the bbq located on your verandah.
We love animals and wish more people were like'em. We bred Westies for many years and we loved it. Loved the puppies and loved connecting them with loving families. Its been a privilege really, not a job.
