Our guesthouse is located on 26 private acres abutting the Green Mountain National Forrest, with stunning views, beautiful in any season. We are 15 minute drive to Okemo, 40 minutes to Killington and Stratton. Easy access to cross -country skiing, the AT and Long-Trail, VAST snowmobile trails. Hiking and snow-showing, biking right out the back door. Relax in this rural, park-like setting with charming stone walls and ample wildlife. The Space: Our 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom guesthouse was renovated in 2015. About 1000 square feet. It is bright and airy with large windows to appreciate the long-range Green Mountain views with Shrewsbury and Killington Peaks in the distance. Bathroom has a shower as well as washer and dryer. Kitchen is fully equipped, stocked with the basics (salt, peper, olive oil, sugar etc.) One room has a queen-sized bed large closets. The second bedroom has 2 twin-sized beds and a small wardrobe for storage. If your group has more than 4 guests, we have a very comfortable full-sized Fly-By-Night futon available for use in the living-room alcove. Linens and towels provided. Guests have also slept on the couch (does not fold out). Stairs: The apartment is accessible via a long staircase in the front of the building or a short, 3 steps up to a porch in back of the building. WIFI/TV/Cell Service:The guesthouse has WIFI, landline, and a TV (No cable but access to your Netflix, Amazon, Hulu accounts). Stroll around our wild perennial gardens and small pond. We are happy to share the use of our picnic tables, and a fire-pit with you upon request. Make s'mores and hot dogs, and enjoy night-time starry skies. We have extra snow shoes, sleds, games, and books available for our guests. Interaction with Guests: Our full-time home is located on the property, visible from the guesthouse. Our garage is located underneath the guesthouse and we do keep our vehicles parked there. Unless we're traveling, we can be available to greet you at check-in. We're respectful of our guests privacy but happy to help you out if you have questions or concerns. Call, text, or email us at anytime or feel free to say hi if you see us out and about on the property! If we're around, you'll probably see us gardening, snow-showing or out walking our pup, Lily. We often work from home so we're around a lot. It's a quiet, rural neighborhood. Occasionally a neighbor will come through the property on a snowmobile or a horse. You won't be able to see neighboring properties from our place. Lot's of scenic dirt roads- perfect for biking, jogging or long lazy strolls. Nearby: This is a great base for exploring all that the area has to offer-biking down scenic dirt-lanes, beautiful lakes for kayaking and swimming, scenic drives, fall foliage, and touring the famous Vermont breweries. We are 15 minutes from golf and tennis. Restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner are as close as 10 minutes away. We're happy to tell you about our favorite dining spots. Amenities and groceries easily accessible. For skiiers, you'll be 15 minutes from Okemo, 40 minutes from Killington to the north and Bromley and Stratton to the south. For entertainment, sight-seeing and shopping we are an easy drive to Manchester, Woodstock, and the quaint town of Weston (with the famous Vermont Country Store and celebrated Weston Play House). Getting Here: Driving: 4 hours from NYC, 3 hours from Boston. We are in a rural setting so you'll need a vehicle.**4 wheel drive is strongly recommended in snowy and icy conditions and during spring-time "mud season". If you get your car stuck, you're responsible for getting yourself towed.** We are located at the end of a country road for ultimate privacy yet close to routes 103, 140 and 155. In normal conditions, any car can get up our road.
