ROOMS FOR RENT IN HUGE WILLIAMSBURG LOFT We have 3 rooms in a completely renovated loft space in Williamsburg only 10 minutes by Subway from Union Square, Manhattan. The apartment is in an old factory building, super tall ceilings and huge space of apx. 120 sqm, with a HUGE living room + kitchen and 5 rooms total. There are visible raw pipes and poles, which gives a really cool chic look to the room. The apartment has BRAND NEW kitchen and bath, white floors and walls. One entire side of the apartment is 3,5 meters of windows with views over Brooklyn's rooftops. During the day the sun lights up the whole apartment in an completely amazing way. During the night we have a 3D-projector and we fire it up on the big wall and watch movies or we have friends come over, eat dinner and chill out. We prefer to be very social, and love meeting new people, so we are looking for people who feel the same way. The place is non-smoking and pet free. The area where the loft is located is full of creative young people and surroundings. In walking distance you have: bars, yoga, vintage shops, delis, restaurants and everything else you need. Famous places like Robertas Pizza and MOMO sushi are just around the corner. Also Union Square, Manhattan is only 10 minutes away by subway located only ONE block from the apartment. On top of the building is a HUGE rooftop. On one side is the view of Manhattan and the other over Brooklyn. During the summer this place is the venue for many partys and chillout sessions. You will be staying in the apartment with Julius from Denmark, a designer and art director who works in advertising and runs a clothing label, and Luis from Argentina, who works in the restaurant industry and runs his own yoga company in Patagonia. We know the city pretty well, and will surely inspire you to cool things you can do while you are in New York. If you are young and creative and want to experience the absolute coolest part that New York has to offer, this here is for you. add us on the book / juliusjuul facial book / luis.crosta.7

Before booking, please send us a message so we can get to know you! We've got an extra room in our loft while I'm away. The loft itself is located off the Jefferson L stop in Bushwick. The room is an 10'-0" x 12'-0" (12'-0" tall ceiling) room with a low lofted sleeping area that measures 6'-9" x 5'-3" giving you a total of 156 square feet of living space. In it there is a bed, a dresser, a rack for hanging clothes, and a small ladder to climb up to the sleeping area. Up on the sleeping area, you'll find a place to plug in whatever you need to charge (there's power underneath the loft as well). There is a tall rectangular window that opens out into the kitchen/common area, and if you have that open during the day, the room is insanely bright from all the light that comes in through the windows. If you feel like sleeping in, though, the room is pitch black with the door and the panel closed. You'll get free wifi, and there will be a TV, although we haven't decided if there will be cable TV or not. But why watch TV when you're visiting? Better to get out and go experience the town! You'll get clean sheets, a clean towel (no need to bring any of that on your own) a clean bathroom and living space, and you can look forward to at least one home-cooked dinner from one, two or all of the roommates! There will be space in the fridge for you if you need it, as well as your own space on the shelf in the bathroom. You'll also have use of a road bike if you would like to free of charge! We're all pretty excited about being able to host lots of people, and entertain as well. We LOVE to get to know our guests! We even provide a home-cooked meal! We'll give you all the information you need, as well as grab a drink or coffee if we have the time. The area is up-and-coming with lots of bars, coffee shops and restaurants already in the area, and more popping up all the time. There is a large living room/open-kitchen with one wall made entirely of windows. The entire place gets a lot of light which is amazing. The loft is only about 20 minutes away from Manhattan, and about 15 minutes from Williamsburg. As for parking, there's street parking available, and it's relatively easy to get a parking spot on any given day. I know what people say about Bushwick, but in the north part of Bushwick, it's very safe, and super convenient to get around. We try to make sure our guests are comfortable, and try to be available to them for any questions. Want us to take you to our favorite bar, or burger restaurant? No problem! Want some more time to yourself to explore and discover the city? That's cool too! We're putting together a notebook of our recommendations for the city, which we would love it if you added an entry to as well! We're all working professionals. Artists of all kinds, but don't get the wrong idea about us. We're serious about work, and cleanliness, about travel, and eating well, and having an all around good time. We welcome people from all over the world! We also speak a bit of German, Spanish and Korean and would love the opportunity to learn other languages! House Rules: No shoes in the apartment: Please don't wear shoes in the apartment. We try very hard to keep the entire place clean. When you walk through the door, please take your shoes off. Clean up after yourself: Similar to the above rule, we really try to keep the apartment clean. The people who stay with us should be willing to clean up after themselves. We're not maids, and not a personal cleaning service. We all make a mess from time to time, but then we do our best to clean up after ourselves. You should too. Try to be courteous to us and to the neighbors: When staying with us, you'll find that our neighbors are all super-friendly, and we'd like to keep it that way. The building is a fantastic mixture of quiet and upbeat. When we first moved into the apartment, we met 16 people in the course of the first two days! We want to make sure that we're courteous to all of our neighbors and respect them, the way we expect to be respected. That means incredibly loud music after hours, ESPECIALLY on weeknights. If you get back late, try to be relatively quiet so as not to disturb the neighbors, and if we're sleeping, try not to wake us up as well! Don't feel like you have to creep around like a mouse, and don't feel like you can't get up to get that glass of water you might need. Just try to be respectful. We'll do the same for you. No smoking in the apartment: I think this can be left further unexplained. If you need to smoke, unfortunately the roof is no longer accessible, but you can walk down the hallway and smoke out one of the windows in one of the staircases (one of them has fantastic Manhattan views!), or walk down to the sidewalk. It's really not that far. No pets in the apartment: While we love animals, please don't bring your pet to stay with us! Of course service animals (assistance for the blind, etc.) are an exception. Lock both top and bottom locks: When you leave the apartment, even if for only to run to a nearby store (leave the building, not just for a smoke), we ask that you lock both the lock on the handle and the deadbolt. It's just our habit, and we ask that you maintain it as well. Have fun! You're on vacation! You're visiting New York! Get out, enjoy the city! Have fun while you're here. We'll try to take the hassle out of where you're spending your nights. You get out and try to have a good time.

The SpaceHippie Traveler Room! We've had an amazing year so far, so many travelers, some incredible times. Every room has a/c for summer, and a space heater for the winter. Also, we've got high-speed internet (wifi). We have a full bath upstairs (with a shower) and a half bath downstairs. There is a yard in the back, which is convenient if you are a smoker. There is a washer/dryer downstairs, both work fine. We also have a good sized kitchen and living room. You're welcome to use the bikes here, cooking supplies, etc.. I live downstairs, and work as a photographer and a film maker. I'm from Colorado. I love to surf, ski, camp, climb, practice yoga, play music, travel and explore the city. There are tons of bars, restaurants, cafes, grocery stores, health food stores, and bodegas in our area. We are not in what one would consider 'Williamsburg' or 'Bushwick' this is definitely East Williamsburg. It sits between the two, and is slightly less gentrified. Still, it is very safe, accommodating, and convenient (two blocks from the Montrose stop). There are many new bars, cafes here. This is New York. Don't come without your head (or your heart. : ) This particular listing is for another room in the original 'Cozy East Williamsburg Apartment' https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/1121497. It is the same size as the other, but has a closet You'll have a full-double bed, a dresser, bedside table, a/c/space heater, closet, a lava lamp and an acoustic guitar if you choose to embrace your inner-hippie traveler. A full bath with a shower is next door, also, a spacious kitchen, living room and a yard! It's awesome! Two blocks to the Montrose stop on the L train, tons of bars, cafes, restaurants around, a quick jaunt to Williamsburg and the East Village. You can't go wrong. Smoking is allowed, but only outside in the yard. Guests will have access to the kitchen, living room, yard, bathroom/shower, and washer/dryer. I typically interact with my guests as much as they want me to. I occasionally work from home, fyi, but I am easy-going. I don't mind company. East Williamsburg! This neighborhood is the best!! I love it here. It is close to bars, cafes, and many music venues. L, JMZ, G trains all close by. So are the B43 and B48 buses. The L train is the closest, three blocks away. The B48 bus stop is right out the door. Here, we prefer those that have some sense of creativity, taste in music/the arts, and spirit for adventure. IF you have these things, we will get along. Guest AccessGuests will have access to the kitchen, living room, yard, bathroom/shower, and washer/dryer. Interaction with GuestsI typically interact with my guests as much as they want me to. My apartment is in Willamsburg Brooklyn, conveniently located 10 minutes via subway to the East Village in Manhattan. The freshly painted, private Master bedroom has high ceilings, hardwood floors and tons of natural light. The room is furnished with a queen size bed, (complete with 1000 thread count sheets), a full length mirror, dresser and closet. Towels are included. The kitchen and bathroom are clean and functional. Full access to a peaceful back garden. The neighborhood is safe and lively with easy access to a cheery laundromat less than a half a block away, a deli at the corner and a park around the corner. Five minute walk to the subway, restaurants and bars. Things you should know to make sure my apartment is for you: Architecture: The apartment was tenement housing at the turn of the 20th century and this unique architecture is common to this particular part of Brooklyn, but there are a few quirks. 1. It is a Railroad Style apartment. That means you have to walk through my bedroom to get to the kitchen and water closet. If you feel that you will not be comfortable with this set up, my apartment is not for you. 2. The heat is very strong in the Winter. I do not have control of the thermostat, but if you open the window it is quite pleasant. 3. The self-contained/private shower stall located in the kitchen. 4. The sink is located in the kitchen doubles as kitchen /bathroom sink. 5. The bedroom is at the front of apartment facing the street so there is some traffic noise. House Rules Please take off your shoes upon entering the apartment. Please do not ask to use my computer. Please do not leave dirty dishes in the sink and clean up after yourself when you use the kitchen. Please do not give out my phone number if the airline loses your luggage. Please turn the heater/ac off when you go out. Please make yourself at home and enjoy the space! There are reviews on my listing. Please take a look to make sure my place is for you. I want all my guests to be comfortable and enjoy the space! Guest Reviews (18) Kate Dec 05, 2009 Had a great week's stay - Abigail made us feel completely welcome and at home. Far more fun staying in a real home rather than a bland hotel! The apartment is v. central, five mins to the subway then a short distance to Union Square. Area great - shops near, and feels completely safe. Yes the traffic outside the flat can be loud - but we came armed with ear plugs and it didn't bother us. Definitely recommend, and would love to stay again. Thanks Abigail! Kate Maddie Sep 28, 2009 I never actually met Abigail as she was away during my weekend stay. However, first of all she overnighted the keys to me, texted me repeatedly on my day of arrival to make sure everything was okay, and I arrived to find a spotless apartment with all the right things. The shower in the kitchen is Euro-cute and not an issue, as the fridge gives you privacy when you step out. The noisey bedroom is not an issue once you turn on the fan and pop in some earplugs. The only downside is that the kitchenware is a bit sparse (no saucepan, tea kettle or garlic press for example), but I am a wierd gluten-free foodie so it is probably less of an issue for others. Jessie Sep 23, 2009 Abby made our experience in New York as comfortable as possible - she was a wonderful hostess. The only cons that I can think of is the traffic outside the bedroom window (the street outside is a main truck thoroughfare) and the shower was in the kitchen, but these are things that a pair of ear plugs and a conveniently placed fridge can counter. Everything was clean and comfortable. Thanks Abby! Anna-lena Sep 08, 2009 spending our nights at abigails ap during our ny-trip was really good. the place is close to the city, has a safe neighbourhood and some options to have dinner or go out. especially the bedford avenue was really good and just two stations via subway apart.. abigail seemed to be really easy going. Actually we just met the last day, because she was on a short holiday trip, while we stayed there.. Our room was a bit loud (close to the street) but very clean and well decorated. A small contra: the shower is in the kitchen and there is no door to close.. So all together a very good place with a very nice host.. Doucet Aug 28, 2009 we spent a great time in New york staying a week at Abigail's place... We arrived in New York after 2 weeks in Tenessee and Louisiana, and the only thing which was hard for me was it was really hot in new York and Abigails hasn't got A.C... but after a few days I got used to it..The place is confortable, and abigail is really easy going, if you need anything she will do it, anyway New York is full of things to do so we didn't stay much in the room!! Pros : the situation, not far from Manhattan, safe place, big room, well decorated and clean, abigail's easy nature Cons : no A.C (if you come in summer), no curtains to hield the light in the morning, the traffic noise Overall, a good place to stay!!! Anne mette Aug 21, 2009 we enjoyed our stay at Abigails. She is super easy going, and its a beautiful place. We would love to stay there again if we are going back to NYC. Tom Aug 12, 2009 Abigail's a super-nice & gracious host, and she keeps the place very clean. She's very pleasant and easy to be around. As others have mentioned, there is a bit of road noise (it's the city, after all), but earplugs helped with that. I would stay there again. Jens Aug 10, 2009 Abigail's place is great as specially your room. Ok beside that street noise, but that's ok, cause it helps you to get up not so late in the morning. And now with the new oven ;-) you can have a great dinner in her nice apartment. What we loved most was the neighborhood packed with mostly young folks, nice bars (Legion) and a great italian restaurant. Ask Abigail for this! I wish you a great trip to nyc..... jens Melissa Aug 05, 2009 Abigail offers a perfect old world charm resting place that I found great to come home to after the end of the days explorations. She's a gracious hostess, a pleasant conversationalist and her flat is comfortable and tidy. Located less than a 5 minute walk to the "L" subway,a quick subway ride to Manhattan, easily accessible to JFK and two stops away from the lively Bedford Ave. Her neighborhood is vibrant and within short walking distance to many restaurants, bars, and grocers. Metropolitan Ave. is a bit utility truck noisy at night yet I slept right through it. I loved the uniqueness of the shower in the kitchen area. Abigail's is an ideal place for traveler's. I'd be happy to stay again. Thanks Abigail! Nicole Jul 28, 2009 We loved the area and had a very comfortable stay with Abigail. Great, spacious room. We would definitely stay again. Sally Jul 19, 2009 A very nice room, extremely comfortable and in a friendly laid back neighbourhood. The subway is a short walk away and a slightly longer walk takes you to some excellent Brooklyn bars and thrift stores. Abigail is a lovely host, very friendly and welcoming. The road outside is rather noisy but a set of earplugs solves that problem very easily. Highly recommended. Claire Jul 14, 2009 Room was spacious and very accommodating. Could use a chair. Abigail even went and got us a fan when the one there didn't work. A little noisy at night because of the busy street traffic, but the fan helped drown that out. You couldn't find a nicer hostess if you looked forever. Louise Jul 05, 2009 I had a great time. The apartment was very close to Manhattan. Abigail ws very easy going and we hung out a couple of nights. The room was really nice and a very comfortable bed. I would stay there again. Mali Jun 30, 2009 If you're looking for a cool place to stay and planning to spend most of the day out in the city (come on, it's New York!) this is a perfect find. Abigail's place is a value for money choice and the room is really big, well decorated and comfortable. Pros: Size of room, Abigail's friendly, easy-going nature, distance to subway station (5 mins walk) Cons: The tiny shower in the kitchen, noisy traffic at night Overall: A pleasurable, excellent value stay! Share on Facebook Ryan Jun 21, 2009 The room is large and clean and has a lot of character. The bedclothes were of good quality, the bed was on the firm side, which I like. Abigail herself is extremely friendly and easygoing. She made the stay very pleasant. The price is very reasonable for the size of the room, and the atmosphere. Jane Jun 09, 2009 Abigail's place is full of tasteful objects, and the bed is super comfy. She is a friendly host and the appartment has a good communal atmosphere. Jordana May 12, 2009 abigail is a natural host. i enjoyed every second i was there. was comfortable clean, just great. Friend Recommendations (1) Anna First of all, Abigail is very gracious, easy going and delightful. She would make a wonderful hostess. Secondly, the location of her apartment is fantastic. It's in a funky part of Williamsburg, so close to bars, restaurants, galleries and produce markets. The room is huge, with high ceilings and very clean. I think it's a good deal for the price. I can definitely recommend staying here because I've known Abigail for many years and have even lived with her in this apartment.

The SpaceI promise you will not get disappointed in your stay in my lovely, clean, spacious LOFT... The high ceilings, the huge windows, the quiet neighborhood, will make your stay in the house relaxing, and me being almost all day out of the house will make your stay as private as possible To every part of the house ( the laundry room, living room, bathroom, private room, kitchen ) basically I am almost never at home so very little but incase of need I will leave everything and be there for them if they will allow and want me for me being a host it is a responsibility which I am taking very serious and as an ex flight attendant I know first hand how much important is to take care of your guest but give them the space they deserve an need which the huge apt. provides the silence inside the small streets but as you go to the main avenues it is full of life, vibrant, and a lot to do... the people are super nice great bars & restaurants very much and a lot : Taxis, Subway, Busses and the ferry makes the area highly easy to get around Guest AccessThe Guest has access to the entire Loft! That includes The Kitchen, Living Room and The Bathroom ;) Interaction with GuestsUnfortunately my very busy schedule doesn't allow me to interact as much as I would like with My Dear Guests... I leave the Loft early in the mornings and come back late in the evenings!!! But, If the Guests will need anything from me I am always there for them! I take hosting very seriously and I make sure to be available as needed to my Guests! It is my responsibility and my privilege ... The NeighborhoodWilliamsburg! 2-3 min. walk to the Closest Subway Stop (The excellent L train).... 5-10 min. ride (depends where you want to arrive in Manhattan) Usually it will take you all together to arrive to Union Square around 12-15 Min.
