The SpacePlease be aware that this is a studio, which is an "open concept" space. It is like a luxury hotel suite. If there are more than two in your party, and you will be using the pull out bed in the couch, you will NOT have privacy, as it is all in the same space. It is a nice large space, but there are no walls separating the sleeping areas. There is an outdoor screened-in area with fireplace for your picnics. We are located in a beautiful rural area and this is great location to explore the Chesapeake Bay area and its surroundings. Interesting destinations are close by, such as, Kent Narrows, Annapolis, St. Michaels, Easton, Oxford, and Chestertown. A bit further but very manageable day trips are Washington DC, or if you like, the Maryland/Delaware beaches are from 1 to 1.5 hours away. Do you enjoy kayaking? There are dozens of put-ins all around on the Chesapeake and its many tributaries. Some are only a couple miles away. Kayaks and guided trips are available and can be arranged from the host. There are miles of biking trails nearby and we can provide assistance and trail maps for those interested. All-in-all, this is a great place to de-stress and we know you will love it. Interaction with GuestsWe will be present during your stay. We are happy to interact with our guests, be it to answer questions, help with suggestions on what to see, suggest restaurants, or to just chat. We are happy to respect your privacy if that's your preference, but we do enjoy getting to know our guest too. It's all up to you. On rare occasion we may need to access the studio while you are here. We will try to do so with little or no interruption to your stay. The studio door is lockable, and we suggest you lock the door to insure privacy. This way we know not to disturb you. We will always let you know if we need to access the studio. We absolutely respect our guest privacy. Other Things to NoteWe recently upgraded to a new pillow top queen size bed, with all new bedding, including pillows, sheets and comforter.

The SpaceRecently remodeled room and bathroom with stained glass entry, antique furniture and photographs from around the world. Separate bathroom, small refrigerator, wifi, cable TV, Roku with Netflix, Sling TV and a lot more, queen size bed, a small additional room for your coffee and breakfast. Guest AccessSeparate side entry to the bedroom and bathroom. I share the small hallway to access my upstairs bedroom, but the downstairs bathroom is just yours for your stay. Interaction with GuestsI will be available to answer questions about the town, art galleries or restaurants. As a real estate agent I can also give you information about the housing market here and even arrange showings if you are in the market to move to the area. The NeighborhoodThe neighborhood is family oriented with limited traffic. We are 6 blocks from the center of town so for busy weekends like waterfowl festival it is easier to walk than to have to deal with parking in town. 2 bicycles are available for getting around town as well as riding out into the country. Getting AroundEasy to see Easton on foot from your room here. Little public transportation so a car or bike is needed to go much further. This is a great area to bike. Lots of country roads with little traffic. Let me give you a county map and make suggestions on where to ride. Other Things to NoteThere is a lot going on in Easton. The Avalon theater is a great venue for music. I volunteer there many times throughout the year. Check them out at: (URL HIDDEN) and see if there is something you want to see while here. Lots of galleries. Plein Aire painting is very popular around here and the Plein Aire festival in July is one of the biggest in the US. The Academy of Art often has very interesting exhibits. Rise Up Coffee is the best coffee house in town and is right behind my house on Dover Rd.

The SpaceWelcome to a converted barn, complete with a recently renovated converted corn crib. On one level is the entrance and full (shower) bath, and two steps up, the crib space itself. It has a vaulted ceiling that appears bigger than the building itself, the space includes: a queen-sized bed, heating / air conditioning, a coffee counter, a bar fridge, and sink. Guest AccessWe encourage our guests to pull into the driveway and park on the right side of the courtyard facing or backed-in towards the patio area. Between our cars and yours, our courtyard becomes small, therefore, we ask that our guests please bring only one vehicle. Once here and parked, enjoy a stretch and quick look around before walking into your own private entrance. There is a small staircase inside providing access between the entry level and the crib's living space. Guests are welcome to use the patio in the courtyard area. It is a shared space. Interaction with GuestsWe have provided our guests a binder that offers information about local restaurants, shops, cultural events, and maps. We are usually available during daytime hours, and will be glad to offer any guidance our guests might need. The NeighborhoodOur neighborhood, long ago, used to be a plantation, complete with manor house and outbuildings. The manor, built around 1800, still stands behind our property, and so too its barn. Now separately owned, the converted brick barn is our home. The farmland that surrounded the estate was sold off and subdivided in the early 50's when the homes you will see around us were built. Our neighborhood is called St. Aubins Heights, named after the manor estate, and is located on the north side of Easton. Getting AroundOur home is conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood, less than a mile north of the village. There is not much need for a car once you are in the village center, as walking or biking around will do. For those wishing to day trip to historic towns such as St. Michaels or Oxford (or points beyond), Route 50 and Route 332 ,the Easton Parkway (or Bypass), are within minutes of our driveway. Other Things to NoteNew for the 2016 season, a real bed! Well, it is a fold-down Murphy style, but it's a real bed. The space itself is light and airy. Be aware that the crib has skylights, shaded only by the tree limbs above. This space is best for the early riser or heavy sleeper. Typically, this is a quiet neighborhood, but do expect to hear birds chirping. If you're a light sleeper at night, keep an ear peeled for the hoots of our two visiting owls.

The SpaceWelcome to Ingleton! Relax and swim by the pool. Fish or crab or picnic at the end of the pier. Do all three. Go biking. Go hiking. Go boating. Visit historic St. Michaels, Easton and Oxford. Watch the best sunsets of your life from the Adirondack chairs at the water's edge. Eat. Shop. Play golf. Play yard games (we have lots!). Play board games (we have lots!). Play with the kids (bring your own). Or do nothing at all. Our newly built home on 2 ½ acres is the perfect spot for your next family vacation. Fabulous water views from nearly every room. Wake up, grab a cup of coffee, relax in bed and just gaze at the water. Or take your coffee outside and sit in the Adirondack chairs, or out on the pier, for a really close up view. When you are ready to start the day, if you want to do more that just sit by the pool, take out the list of activities we’ll give you. Places to see, things to do, easy bike rides, challenging bike rides, shops to visit, restaurants to try. Your days will be full. If you are not from the area, there are easy day trips to Annapolis, Washington, D.C., and the beautiful sandy beaches of Maryland and Delaware. But it may be hard to find the time because you can easily fill your week without going more than 15 minutes in any direction or leaving the property at all. We have two bikes for your use. The terrain is flat and the biking is easy. If you have a boat, you can get to our pier by water up the Miles River, or by trailer to a boat launch about a mile or two from the house. We provide two double and three single kayaks. It's an easy kayak across the sheltered waters to an undeveloped island and secluded beach directly behind the house! Our house is perfect for one or two families. There are two master bedrooms with king beds and private baths. There are two more bedrooms (queen bed in one and twins in the other) with private baths. There is an upstairs family room that sleeps two (Great Views!) and a first floor den that sleeps two more. The dining room sits up to ten comfortably and the modern kitchen makes it easy to cook for a crowd (or heat up the leftovers from some of the area’s great restaurants). We provide linens and towels. The kitchen is fully equipped. We welcome dogs as long as they are trained and babies even if they are not. We ask only that you treat our house as you would your own. It’s not just a rental; we use it all the time. The house is a new custom built home that we designed and it is well appointed throughout with high end finishes and over 3000 sf of living space. We're really proud of the home we've built and we're excited to share it. We're new to AirBnB so feel free to check out all of our rave reviews on VRBO 347588. We take a lot of pride in providing the perfect vacation for our guests. The photos do not capture the true beauty of our home. Lastly, we do require a signed contract for our guests. Message us for details. We think you’ll love Ingleton. We certainly do. Keywords: waterfront home, waterfront house, waterfront cottage Interaction with GuestsWe'll be available by phone and email throughout your stay!

Rising above the Tred Avon river this mid century ranch has waterfront pool (you can`t build them this close to the water anymore), fabulous views, French doors opening up to waterfront patios. Offering a boat slip (not a dock) with over 4 1/2` water depth and just minutes from Easton Point Marina, Gladimere is a perfect stopping point to tour the beautiful Tred Avon River. Sitting high above the river guests can quickly cast their rods to bring in Rockfish and Perch - catching crabs from the slip couldn`t be easier and you can run right up the road to have Renny Gay at Gay`s seafood steam a bushel - or supplement your catch with more. Not bringing a boat, no worries a kayak is offered at no additional charge to catch the ambiance of the river. This 1957 single story 3,000+ sf vacation home has original bathrooms and a step back in time feel. The open contemporary floor plan, furniture, vaulted ceilings might take guests back to an era of hula hoops, Dwight D. Eisenhower and American Bandstand with a Chesapeake twist. Enjoy the experience and the view! The Neighborhood Recommended Restaurants: Theo's Steaks and Spirits (St. Michaels)-Smaller, nice restaurant, everything is done well. A good spot for dinner and cocktails with friends or just for dinner with a significant other. Head to Carpenter St. right down the st. after dinner. Ava's Pizzeria and Wine Bar: Same owner as Theo's and right next door to Theo's. This is a better choice for dinner with kids. Bartlett Pear Inn (Easton)-Amazing cocktails, more upscale than Theo's. Good for a special occasion. Recommended Bars: Carpenter St. Saloon (St. Michaels)-Dive bar, fun vibe, Live music every Fri, Sat Schooners (Oxford)-On the water, boat to for lunch/drinks or an earlier dinner/drinks. Normally live music on sat around 3 PM Brasserie (Easton)- Not highly recommended, but normally live music on Friday or Saturday. It is more of a younger, local crowd but if you want some nightlife and plan to do dinner in easton (And don't want to go back to St. Michaels), then this is probably the best option. Inn at Perry Cabin: Grab a cocktail and check out the property. The wedding scene from the movie Wedding Crashers was filmed at the Inn at Perry Cabin. Dog Friendly: Schooners (Oxford) Foxy's (St. Michaels) Gina's (St. Michaels) Ava's (St. Michaels)-Dog menu Other: Eastern Shore Brewery (St. Michaels) Check the events calendar in Easton/St. Michaels (Wine Festival, waterfowl festival, etc) Town and Country- Beer, Liquor, snacks on the way to the house Amish Country Market- Best place to get meat, eggs, cheese, milk, etc. The house from the movie Wedding Crashers-Check it out via boat. It is on Peachblossom Creek, at the end of Ellenbourough rd Getting Around Uber is just rolling out in Easton/St. Michaels but it is still spotty. Carpenter St. Saloon runs a free shuttle from 10 PM to 2 AM on the weekends. Pick up is right in front of the bar.
