I will wash any items you will need to reuse and have them cleaned and delivered back to the basket. The kitchenette is so well stocked it is rare to have to reuse anything! Check out our guide book on this page for a sampling of the great things to do and see here in the central cascades and surrounding area. Well behaved dogs and people are welcome! Dogs must be cleaned up after and cannot be left alone in the rental unless the are in a crate. CLICK PHOTO TO SHOW SEVERAL MORE PHOTOS! ****If you choose to bring young children you are solely responsible for their safety and they are never, ever allowed to be unsupervised at any time. Children are people too so they count as a guest when booking. Guest AccessLake Kachess is four miles down our street and is great for boating, swimming and hiking. The downhill ski & snowboard areas are ten miles away. Hiking trails are everywhere. There are over 300 miles of snowmobile trails right from the driveway & beautiful cc & snowshoe trails. If your car can carry it, a double kayak is there for your use. Trail Maps & Hiking Guide books are provided for use during your stay. Interaction with GuestsIf I am at the upper lodge you will not see or hear me (unless you want to! I'm always up for a glass of wine!). I have a separate entrance and out door sitting area that cannot be seen from lower lodge. Breakfast the first morning is delivered at nine am in a corner stairwell that is completely private from both living areas. The NeighborhoodThe peace, quiet and beauty of the forest is what our guests enjoy the most. This is a back to nature & rejuvenating place with beautiful Alpine lakes to hike to, a swimming lake to enjoy and an abundance of winter sports. Swiftwater winery is a 20 min. drive away to have a gourmet meal & fabulous wine tasting. Getting AroundWe are out in the wilderness so there is no public transportation. Check Snoqualmie Pass DOT report in the winter to know weather you need chains or 4wd to get out to the lodge. They do a great job of keeping I90 plowed all winter! Other Things to NoteIf you are coming from the west or the airport you must stop to see Snoqualmie Falls on your way here! It is spectacular night and day and well worth the ten mins off the highway. Also stop for groceries in North Bend exit 31 as there are not full grocery stores in our area. While you are there have very yummy salmon Quinoa or woodsman grilled romaine & steak salad at the North Bend bar and grill. Or The Commonwealth & Drew Bru exit 53 for a yummy burger. If you are heading here from the east stop in Cle Elum for groceries. If you plan on eating dinner out there is a restaurant list for you but most are a 30 min drive unless its ski season, then you will have many choices at the pass, 10 mins west of the lodge. Year round fine dining and wine tasting is 20 mins away at suncadia resort, my fave is Swiftwater Cellars.

The SpaceThere is a small bedroom on the first floor with a queen sized bed, a comfortable sleep-away queen-sized couch in the living room, and a bedroom upstairs with two twin beds. There are two fold-out twin beds on the upstairs loft landing. The upstairs is a great kid-zone and is fairly loft-like. There are stairs leading upstairs, but they are narrow and can be climbed like a ladder. The living room is open-concept, with a kitchen in one corner and a wood burning stove near the ceiling to floor windows. There is a full bathroom with a shower/tub and washer/dryer on the first floor. Guest AccessGuests have limits to the entire house. Interaction with GuestsWe will not be at the house during your stay, but are happy to answer questions about the house and the area. The NeighborhoodWe are right across the street from Summit Central ski area, but because we are tucked away from the road, it feels like we are in the middle of the woods! Walking distance to the base at Central and even closer to Central Express. The big a-frame windows have a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains on a clear day, and an equally beautiful view of surrounding trees during low visibility. Getting AroundParking is available in front of the cabin, although in the winter you will have to have 4-wheel drive to access. Another way is to park on the street and walk about 60 yards to the house. We are directly across from the overnight lot so there is usually room for extra cars just across the road from the driveway. A shuttle runs to all of the Summit at Snoqualmie areas, from Hyak to Alpental. Close to the Nordic Area and walking distance to the Tubing Center. Not much need to move car once you get here when The Summit is open. Other Things to NoteDogs are welcome, but please keep them off of the furniture and clean up as needed.

Families that would like a taste of the Pacific Crest Trail may want to hike to Lodge Lake or Mirror Lake. Gold Creek pond is a wonderful stroll for all ages and all ability levels. It is paved and handicap accessible. Red Mountain Coffee is a charming, locally owned and operated coffee shop that also makes wonderful pizza and salads. Aardvark has the most amazing coconut curry and burgers, this is NOT your average hamburger stand, but is an eclectic eatery - log cabin food truck, which almost every PCT hiker stops at to refuel. This is a local hang-out. Drew Brew is our local brewery. They also sell Root Beer Growlers. Getting AroundThere is limited parking available in our driveway. We will contact you with instructions. In the winter there is a shuttle bus moving guests to the four different ski areas that are all part of Summit @ Snoqualmie. Other Things to NoteWe are members of Ski Patrol and Kittitas County Search and Rescue. We have a search and rescue golden retriever puppy named Harry. We insist that you not spoil Harry, by sneaking him treats, or teasing him. We may be called away at a moment's notice, at the Sheriff's request, and ask for your understanding.

The SpaceThere are three buildings included in this rental-- the main cabin, the bunkhouse and the shower house.: *The main cabin has one large room with living room, full kitchen and dining room. The living room has a queen sofa bed. There is also a master bedroom with a king-size bed and lots of closet space and washer/dryer. The small bedroom has a queen-sized bed. There is one bathroom with shower connected by doors to both the master bedroom and kitchen area. The main cabin has DISH TV (in both living room and master bedroom) and PS4 for your entertainment. The kitchen includes pots, utensils/glasses/plates/cups (for 8), gas stove, dishwasher, fridge, microwave, toaster and electric kettle. *The bunkhouse has one bunk-bed with twin size mattress on top and full size mattress below. The bunkhouse has a TV/DVD combo to use for watching DVD's (no regular TV signal or DISH here). *The shower house has a bathroom with shower as well as additional refrigerator and laundry machines. Although pets are not allowed inside the house, we have a large outdoor kennel and dog run. See the pics. There is a deck surrounding the entire cabin and a "warming hut" with a wood fireplace behind the cabin. The pond beside the cabin can be used for swimming and has a dock with an inflatable raft. (All to be used at your own risk.) There are a few fire-pits and picnic tables around the property. (NOTE-- much of the outdoor areas are NOT accessible during the winter season due to snow.) Guest AccessAll spaces noted above. Interaction with GuestsI or my maintenance engineer will be on site at least on the day of arrival and departure to give a simple tour and handle any questions or requests. The NeighborhoodWe are just 2 miles down the road from the Cabin Creek Sno-Park and Nordic Ski Area. We are located on a National Forest Service road in the Wenatchee National Forest (DON'T TRY TO USE GPS TO FIND US!) Very few neighbors out here besides the black-tailed deer, elk, wild turkeys, grouse, squirrels, barn swallows and hummingbirds -- all of whom make their presence known from time to time. There are many ATV, dirt bike and snowmobile trails in the area around us. Lots of places to play! Getting AroundWe are about 1 hour 15 mins from downtown Seattle. 30 minutes from either Roslyn or Cle Elum. 20 minutes from skiing at the Summit of Snoqualmie Pass. Other Things to NoteThe road leading into the cabin is a dirt & gravel road and can be bumpy at times, snow-packed in winter (have AWD or good traction tires) and very dusty during summer. Speeds should be kept to 25 mph or less.
