Along the Turquoise Trail you'll pass by the Ortiz Mountains Educational Preserve, a 1,350-acre Open Space Preserve managed by Santa Fe Botanical Garden. For horseback riding try the Broken Saddle Riding Company in the Cerrillos hills; trot along Miner's Trail to Devil's Canyon and Cash Entry Mine while enjoying breathtaking vistas of the wondrous New Mexico landscape. Or drive 14 miles to the top of the Sandia Mountains (elevation 10,760 ft) for a spectacular view of the Rio Grande Valley and far away mesas.
