We are located in La Ruta del Vino, San Antonio de las Minas, Baja California. Concepts equal if any, the difference is the attention to the love of family, to share our memories of home and create memorable experiences to our guests. Get in touch with nature while relaxing in comfort at Casa. All rooms have a direct entrance with private luxurious bathrooms. Every room is different with rustic décor, warm and cozy earth tones. The ceilings are lined with real wood slats stained a natural dark brown tree-trunk color. The SpaceThe room has a full size bed and a reading chair. A toddler bed or camping cot are available upon request with notice. Guest AccessThe property is on a hill with 4 "levels". On the 1st level, there is an area of "public parking" just outside of main entry gate. Friends of guest are welcome to park there. Inside the double door entry gate, Guest are designated a 1-car parking spot near the cabins. This are also have access to a recreational area where guest can sit and relax under the fruit trees or enjoy an evening campfire. The 2nd level is a "Jardin Gastronomico" (Outdoor Food Court), this area can be rented for special events or used by guest to sit and have an outdoor picnic (when not being privately rented). The 3rd level is an open space that will in the future have an edible garden and skateboarding ramp. The 4th level is our private residence. Interaction with GuestsOur days vary, and we may not be on the property the whole time you are here. We do welcome you to give us a call if you need help with anything. We have a staff member on the property that can assist with any questions or concerns you may have. He's available from 10am-6pm on Friday and Saturday. The NeighborhoodIn "Las Lomas" neighborhood, you will find two wineries: Cava Maciel and Villas Maglen. They are walking distance from the cabin. There is also a small restaurant called "Las Cabanas" that is open for breakfast (also walking distance). Getting AroundHere in "El Valle", commuting from winery to winery is kinda like driving from a winery Napa Valley to another one in Yountville (slightly to far for walking distance unless your a professional marathoner). While there is public transit and a bus map (located in El Sauzal about 20mins by car from where we are at), usually arrival times are unpredictable and don't run a strict schedule, it is best to drive around if your visiting wineries and eateries. There are only 2 gas stations in El Valle. 1 is in San Antonio de las minas (5 mins from us) and the other by Francisco Zarco (20mins from us, like if your heading toward La Cetto). El Morgor has a farmers market on Wednesday and Saturday each week from 11ish to 1pm. The famous Deckman's El Morgor restaurant is located there. The chef is usually behind the grill, although busy he is very friendly and talkative. An ex-boston TV food celebrity is cooking up fresh meals at Almanazar. While these 2 places are across the road from each other, it's about a 10-15min driving distance. Considering biking? that's fun, but I recommend it just around our fraccionamento. Since people travel the main carretera (highway) at super high speeds, we don't encourage it as a transportation vehicle to wineries. Other Things to NoteDuring the summer months: june-september, the Valle is full of activities and new farm to table restaurants, however it's still a small town and as soon as the sun sets around 7:30pm, most shops and eateries also close. During the winter, most eateries don't open on Mondays and usually everything is closed by 6pm. There is a couple of places that you can eat late, but it's usually on Friday, and weekends and it's pizza and tacos. Please note during winter months, it can get really cold, we recommend bringing an extra blanket or thick pjs.
