The NeighborhoodKeep in mind that Sarapiqui is not a luxury area, it is under developped, and not an over crowded tourist destination. This makes it a favorite for nature lovers, those who like authentic off the beaten path experiences, and quiet, pristine, undisturbed natural destinations. Great for birdwatching and wildlife sightings. Also a favorite among scientists, researchers, photographers, authors, and filmmakers due to the huge amount of biodiversity located in this magical area. If you drive yourself, it is very easy, in this case do not go through the Vara Blanca route unless you will be visiting the Poas Volcano on the way.
