    This is the front part of my private home with locked doors to main house. The 1 BR QUEEN sleeps 2 in 1100 SQFT and great proximity to the Beach and LAX. The house is in El Segundo, with only a 15 minute walk to the beach.     The SpaceIn the heart of downtown El Segundo it is walking distance to the local restuarants and bars. It is close to LAX (10 mins) and one mile from the beach. Local towns are Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach, Marina Del Rey, Venice beach and many more. Great location. Clean and cozy bedroom. A feeling of living in a beach town. Bbq patio area outside and smoking is allowed only outside. Public transport and free shuttles to & from local beach towns. The room is funished with a pine fourposter bed with a foam memory matress, bed night stands and mirrored dresser. Its is a shared bathroom but very spacious. Wifi and contintential breakfast is available and also cable tv in the living area. There is also onsite laundry service. Use of kitchen if you enjoy to cook. It is a small beach town that is set in the heart of Los Angeles but you feel away from that city busyiness. Very close to other beach towns and quite and relaxing.     The SpaceThere is one bedroom with a queen size bed and one large sitting room which can serve as a second bedroom with a very comfortable pull out sofa bed. This "non smoking" suite of rooms is ideal for two since you will have four separate rooms all to yourself - a roomy bedroom, a very large living room (that can serve as a second bedroom), a full bathroom, and a sunny coffee room with a garden window and refrigerator. Your bedroom has a window seat, queen size bed, and walk in closet. Your full bath with tub and shower is across the hall next to the coffee room with all the fixings for coffee in the morning. Finally there is a lovely, spacious room (which we call the "Garden Room") that has a cathedral ceiling, a large sectional, built in bookcases, dining table and chairs, sliding glass doors and bay window, yours to watch TV or just relax and enjoy the garden view. In a corner of that room is a cozy business center with desk and office supplies. The two of you will have your own private 1200 square foot suite. However the space also accommodates four very well. The new sofa in the Garden Room, opens into a very comfortable double bed which will sleep two people. There are shades on all windows which can be lowered for privacy, and the Garden Room can be closed off from the rest of the suite by doors. You now have converted to two separate bedrooms. The suite is on the ground floor with a private entrance and private deck so there is no need to walk through a common area. The southern exposure in the Garden Room with an abundance of windows allows for sun and natural light throughout the day. The comfortable furniture is arranged to watch TV, read a good book, work from your laptop, listen to music, or just relax and enjoy the view of the landscaped garden. There is also Cable TV including Netflix and the capability of recording TV programs as desired. A variety of music is available through the TV Uverse system. There is no access to a kitchen. However, the coffee room, with its bright garden window allows coffee to be brewed from freshly ground coffee beans using fresh filtered drinking water. Although there is no kitchen, a compact refrigerator with a separate freezer is included where you can store food for a light breakfast or lunch. We provide fruit, juice, coffee, tea and bottled water upon your arrival. Also there are many very good restaurants close by with delivery service to the house. The suite is a separate wing of the house, therefore is closed off from the rest of the home, offering you complete privacy. We live in the other part of the house and this suite of rooms is the only space we rent out. Guest AccessThe suite will be available by 2 PM unless you let me know in advance that you would like to check in sooner which often can be arranged. You will enter the property into the garden area through solid wooden double doors next to a "Kelley Suite" sign, then, immediately turning right you will follow the path to your exclusive deck and your private entrance to the living room in the suite, allowing you to come and go as you wish. There is a shared upstairs roof deck available to you with a partial view of the ocean and some fantastic sunsets (or sunrises) as nature chooses to provide. Interaction with GuestsWe are a retired but active couple and will mostly be available on site, off and on throughout your stay to answer questions or provide you with any needs you may have. We value our guests. If you should have a special request to make your stay more enjoyable, let us know and we will do our best to accommodate. The NeighborhoodOur home is located in a residential section of El Segundo, where the small town atmosphere is not only enjoyed by the locals, but appreciated by many residents of nearby towns. The neighborhood is a quiet gathering of single family homes, with some notice of planes taking off from time to time at nearby LAX. There are no parking meters in El Segundo, yet plenty of available shops and restaurants about a mile away, and only a quarter of a mile to the beach. Our location is adjacent to all the other South Bay beach towns - Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach - as well as close to Venice and Santa Monica. We enjoy the sight of families walking together in the evenings, mostly with their dogs. You can walk less than a mile, past the beautiful historic high school and Library Park to reach a variety of restaurants and shops on Main Street. A walk to the beach takes about fifteen minutes where you will find fire pits and a bike path stretching for miles along the coast, from Redondo Beach to Santa Monica. This is a very safe, quiet town with excellent police services. Getting AroundPublic transportation in the Los Angeles area is not terrific, however it can get you around. There is bus service within blocks of the house and an El Segundo metro train station close by to take you to downtown Los Angeles and Long Beach, as well as other attractions. Enterprise Car Rentals has an office in El Segundo, therefore you do not have to rent at the airport. Check Enterprise online. There is always free parking available on the street and we have a special parking spot committed to our guests. A cab ride from LAX is $20 and takes about 15 minutes. Uber is easily available from your smart phone with a cost of about $8 from our home to the airport. Other Things to NoteWhile your area is completely private, we are happy to visit with you as you wish. El Segundo has its own 9 hole golf course. In addition there are bicycles for you to use on the nearby bike path and what fun it is to do so! Also there are beach chairs, beach towels and other beach gear for use at the many nearby beaches.

    The SpaceThis is a private house. It can sleep up to four and is great for anybody who wants to be close to the beach. The house is in El Segundo, with only a 3 minute walk to the beach. Beautiful greenery outside with a table and spot to hang out but I do have other rentals that use parts of the back yard, so some space is shared. The neighborhood is quiet and very safe.     The SpacePrivate Gated Entrance from the Driveway area. Galley Kitchen with Granite Counter tops. Separate dinning area Pergo and tile floors. So much storage space!!! Large HD flat screen TV in the living are with Netflix only, Free Wi-Fi. Space heater. Ceiling fans in bedroom and Living Room, Washer and Dryer, Iron and Ironing Board in the unit. One bedroom with a queen bed and the Living Room has a full pull out sofa bed, this apartment comfortably sleeps 4 adults. We DO limit the unit to 4 guest. Children of any age do count as guest. There is a beautiful pool with Jacuzzi on the grounds just up the steps from the apartment for a mid afternoon dip. When you feel like working out or enjoying the out doors just walk out the back gate to an Ocean View Walk or use the driveway. This apartment is Fully furnished and ready to enjoy with dishware for four, pots and pans and utensils for cooking, toaster, wine and champagne glasses, coffee pot and electric tea/hot water kettle. Full size refrigerator and cook range. The neighborhood is Quiet and Residential and only 7 blocks from the El Segundo Downtown - Main Street. Walk down on Thursdays to the Cozy Small Town Farmers Market Every Thursday from 3-7 pm to prepare your meals. Traveling to other local attractions will require transportation, however, on Main Street you can catch a local bus. We are also only 15 minutes Drive from the GREEN LINE Metro Station. From this location you can drive to almost anywhere in Southern California. Santa Monica Bay - Big Bear - Disneyland - Hollywood, all from 15 minutes to two hours drive. Local Beaches are: El Segundo Beach (15 -20 minute walk 0.8 miles). Manhattan Beach (3 miles) Hermosa Beach (5.3 miles) Playa Del Rey (3.9 miles), Marina Del Rey (8.4 miles) and Venice Beach. This is a perfect location if you are looking for quiet, private accommodations that are cozy yet elegant and home like with all the amenities. You have the convenience of being centrally located and freeway close! You do need a car in Los Angeles to get around. If you find that you are missing anything that would make your stay more pleasurable just ask. NO Pets Please. We do have a dog on site but he is not permitted in the unit. Smoking is permitted Outside the apartment but absolutely NO SMOKING INSIDE. Please use Only Plastic ware by the pool area. Swim at your own risk. No lifeguard on duty. No Parties at this location. El Segundo is an industrial city of day population of 200,000 and evening population of 16,000 households in the evening. We are surrounded by Industrial but being near the ocean (less than a mile) is definitely worth it! We are near: the Los Angeles International Airport and Air Force Base and Aerospace Industry as well as many other industries. The NeighborhoodWe love living at the end of a peaceful, safe, friendly street facing the ocean. Gorgeous sunset views every day and mild climate year round. We enjoy strolling a short distance to the "Mayberry" style town and sampling a wide range of fine restaurants, including bistros, sushi, Italian, Mexican, "Rock 'N Brews" (owned by KISS member Gene Simmons), plus the El Segundo Brewery Tap Room. The town hosts fun events, including street fairs, and 4th of July parade. We're close to a walking path used by joggers and dog walkers with beautiful views of the coastline above an industrial area and tension wires. Most days you can see Catalina Island and hear barking seals. We love it! A short distance to major shopping venues (including Macy's; Apple Store; Whole Foods Market; Cost Plus World Market; Best Buy; Pottery Barn; J. Crew; Banana Republic; H & M; Walgreens; Ralphs; Trader Joes; CVS). Getting AroundWe're close to LAX. It can sleep up to 4 but will be cozy and is great for anybody who wants to be close to the beach. The apartment is in El Segundo, with only a 3 minute walk to the beach. If you have a pet, I charge an additional 100 for cleaning upon arrival. the back yard is not available for use unless you pay an additional amount based on use or we work out something in our emails because it's a shared back yard with front house. That includes jaccuzzi and BQ and tables. I prefer you always use the alley entrance and no pets in the back yard please. There are 2 spots back there, please park in the spot closer to your door (south), not the gate and shed (north). Key is in the inside door or the lock box will be given to you if you call me or Boris and the box is sitting on the window ledge.
