The SpaceLovely, art deco style three bedroom apartment, located in the heart, of Elizabeth Bay. Although an apartment, the space feels more like a house due to the layout and high ceilings. We have a retro / bohemian theme happening that is cosy and comfortable. Definitely not a household for a minimalist! The apartment has lots of character - meaning the odd bit of chipped paint - but also boasts wooden floorboards throughout and beautiful pressed tin ceilings. The available room is situated off the middle of the hallway and is one level above the street. The room gets plenty of sunlight throughout the day and has gorgeous sash windows with Roman blinds, blonde wooden floorboards and a lovely pressed tin ceiling. Towels & linen are included. I used to work in a linen shop so I have a great selection! We have 1.5 bathrooms - great on a busy morning - and a large lounge & dining room that leads onto the kitchen and another smaller bedroom at the back of the apartment. Our building has a security door, an on-site caretaker and lovely neighbors. I have an established garden that the kitchen opens onto. Perfect for lazy Sunday lunches and the odd party! There is a communal laundry downstairs with a commercial size washer- not flash but it does the job - and a great clothes line out back of the courtyard. We also have cloths racks for indoor drying. Our corner of the world boasts the Lizzie Bay Deli,(great home style meals) a well stocked bottle shop and several funky cafes, plus harbour side walks and three lush parks at either end of the street. The bus stops just around the corner and Kings Cross train station is 5 minutes walk away. Or you could take a lovely 30 minute waterfront walk into the city via the Botanical gardens. Guest Access- Kitchen facilities - gas stove, blender, lots of coffee peculators! - Wireless - Lounge & Dining Room area Interaction with GuestsHappy to have a chat on a daily basis either over breakfast or last thing in the day. As I work from home I can usually be found in the home office (ex-junk room) at the end of the hallway between 10 - 6pm. We are a busy household so sometimes we are all home in the evenings recovering from the busy day and sometimes we are all out having fun! I try to be here on the guests arrival to greet people and show them around the house. Answer any questions about the neighbourhood and transport. The NeighborhoodOur neighbourhood is lush & green with trees, parks and the harbour just at the end of the street. A peaceful and a lovely place to awake to the sounds of birds and the odd rubbish collection! There are lots of fab cafes, a good quality bottle shop and some design & fashion shops up the road. Close to three forms of transport: bus, train and lots of taxis or Ubers lurking at all times of the day. Getting AroundWe are close to three forms of transport: bus, train and there are always lots of taxis lurking at all times of the day! if you like a walk the city is 30 - 40 minutes away and Potts Pt & Darlinghurst just up the road. We do not have any off street parking. Catch the train from the airport to Central than change to the Illawarra Line - Platform 24 - and alight at Kings Cross. Catch a quick cab down the hill or take a pleasant ten minute walk if your baggage is lightweight or you have a good set of wheels attached. Other Things to NotePlease enquire at least 24 hours prior to wanting to book as I like to have time to prepare the room, check that my (website hidden) are happy to have someone to stay and organise my timetable so that I can meet and greet you on arrival.
