Extra Large Room, Queens sized comfy bed, french windows, courtyard built in robes, TV and table chair. Modern kitchen, lounge room, back garden, huge lime tree herbs and veggie garden. Bathroom and seperate toilet. Friendly beachside village and neighborhood. A plethora of shops, cheap eats grocers and local traders in Glenhuntly Rd. Elsternwick (5 mins away). Elsternwick classic Cinema around the corner. St Kilda, a 5-10 min tram ride or 30 minute walk. A variety of local musicians and artists and celebrities, Elwood is known as an artistic community. Local markets like Elwood and Peanut Farm allow access to fresh organic produce in an old fashioned market place. Here you will be able to walk and cycle everywhere you wish to go. But there is a free car park also out the front. As a passionate Melbournian and Victorian I can give you great tips on all the best spots to visit. You will need to like dogs though as I have a five year old Golden Retriever who loves visitors! Any questions just message me. The SpaceHi, My home sits in a beautiful and quiet tree lined street that has a wonderful park and playground just a few doors away. Locally you are within a short walk to a large shopping strip with funky cafes and restaurants as well as a large supermarket. The train station (15 min. to the city) tram and bus stops are also just a short walk away. Melbourne is rightfully known as being one of the worlds most livable and friendly cities. There is plenty to enjoy and explore within the city and regionally as well. Melbourne is known as being the centre for arts and culture and Melbornians are renowned for their love of sport and the hosting of major sporting events. Should you wish I would be very happy to offer any advise and assistance during your stay. The suburb is conveniently located and well connected to the city center and close to the beach. Within a short walking distance there's a great park and playground, wonderful eateries, bars, a Coles supermarket, art house cinemas, public library and other amenities. Further up Glen Huntly Road one of our personal favourites is Loco cafe, also with great coffees and tasty Israeli breakfasts. -want bagels? one of the best bakeries in Melbourne (in my humble opinion!) is Aviv cakes and bagels further up Glen Huntly road. Bagelicious is another option just up the road from that. -the nearest supermarket (Coles) is less than 15 mins walk or 2 tramstops away -alternatively, should you have a late night ice-cream craving you can visit the 7-11 on Glen Huntly Road near the end of our street -Also close-by are cultural Carlisle Street, eclectic Glen Eira Road and sea-side Acland Street, all of which will see you being watered and fed with cool shops to keep you occupied along the way. Our apartment is perfectly situated at the intersection of 3 uber cool inner Melbourne suburbs (Elwood, Ripponlea & St Kilda East) where you will be absolutely spoilt for choice with a plethora of cafes, eateries, bars, bakeries, boutique shopping, health food stores and gym and yoga studios, not to mention the basics like banks, chemists, 7 / 11 convenience store and supermarket. If that weren't enough, you have easy access to public transport and even a cinema across the road should you spontaneously decide you want to see a flick at the iconic Classic Cinema (if you do make sure to go to After the tears for a vodka and some good Polish fare afterwards). Our apartment is smack bang in the middle of all that these cool suburbs have to offer! (URL HIDDEN) Getting AroundDon't have a car? No problems! Just a 5 min walk to the end of the street will see you at Elsternwick train station where you can catch a train direct to the city in under 15 minutes. Want to head to St Kilda beach? No dramas...jump on a tram (outside the train station) and you'll also be there in no time (or walk to Elwood beach which is around 15 - 20 mins). Other Things to NoteGuests should be aware that we live on a train line (convenient when it only takes 13 minutes to get into the bcd!). Trains are more frequent around peak times and then infrequently at off peak times. They run every hour over the weekend. Most guests get used to the trains within a couple of days but if you are a very light sleeper you might want to consider another option or bring your earplugs just in case.

The SpaceClean, comfy & cosy room in a two bedroom apartment in an excellent location. We live in a fantastic neighbourhood about a 10 minute train ride from the city. Close to everything and extremely close to some great nightlife such as St Kilda and South Yarra to name a few also a very safe area with great local cafes! There are trams, buses and trains literally right outside that will take you to all the main spots of Melbourne. We are extremely relaxed people both from NZ who work full time so we are out of the house until about 7pm most days. The bathroom, laundry, kitchen, balcony and dining will be shared but you will have your own room and half of the closet. We have a queen size mattress (no bed base unfortunately). We love meeting people from all walks of life so everyone and anyone is welcome. Solo travelers looking for just one night to a couple wanting to stay a week. Prices are based on two people. Guest AccessYou will have access to everything we do! - Wifi - Laundry - Kitchen - Car park (please let us know prior to arrival if you have a car as this is subject to availability) otherwise plenty of free off-street parking - Bathroom Interaction with GuestsWe love meeting new people so enjoying a wine or beer together is always an option. Other Things to NoteWe don't mind smokers at all just please keep it outside on the deck. We ask that you respect our space as if it were your own. Also, please no downloading or excessive use of the wifi. No children sorry - due to having stairs.

hi, I'm renting out one of the bedrooms in my flat. i am located in a nice, quiet area of Elsternwick a 5 minute walk from public transport and the large shopping strip of glenhuntly road. the room is quite large. and has double bed, desk and large cupboard (if you want to unpack and stay a while). the unit is equipped with all utilities and kitchenware all of which you are welcome to use.

There is a train station, shops, cafes, restaurants - all only 9 minutes stroll away. The room is warm and complete with double bed and bay window. Bathroom is shared. There are no pets or children - just a comfy home to relax and enjoy the company or get to and from the city which is 15 minutes on a train or a 20 minute taxi ride.

Within short walk to Gardenvale Railway Station and local village shopping. Near to a beautiful park and just 20 minutes walk from Elwood beach. Nearby buses to Monash University, Chadstone Centre, Elsternwick shopping and tram and train the City. The street is quiet with no through traffic and a park for passive recreation.

The SpaceThe bedroom has it's own floor, and toilet . It has air-conditioning. The windows in the loft roof let in great light, but also have james Bond style black out blinds if you need them. Guest AccessYou will have access to a huge double shower, and bath tub. The kitchen is great to cook in with a butlers pantry. A huge lounge opens onto a outdoor under cover deck, and great Garden area. There is wifi, and all day/night parking. if you need an extra room the front room has a sofa bed, and a beautiful window seat with access to the front veranda, which overlooks the front garden. Interaction with GuestsI love having people in the house. It is a big home, and comes alive with guests in it. I am happy to share all my knowledge of Melbourne and what the must see places are . The NeighborhoodThe house is in between Elwood village, which is a stones throw from the beach. Elwood has great shops and restaurants to sample. The Elsternwick area has the train and tram station right by us, and also has the cinema and a great range of restaurants and cafes, and shops to enjoy. Getting AroundIt is 6 min walk to Elsternwick station, and 6 min walk to the local tram stop. Both are on the direct line into the city. Other Things to NoteI have a flat mate, who is really lovely and happy to have people come and stay.

You are also more than welcome to use our kitchen, living room which as a television and our WiFi. We generally have a fully stocked kitchen and are happy to share. Restocking if you eat a large quantity is always appreciated! Interaction with GuestsMy girlfriend and I live in the flat but both work. As we are both entrepreneurs our schedule is quite hectic so we generally don't keep a strict schedule. We are also very physically active so we won't be around that much unless it's the weekend when we try to take it easy. When we are home we are more than happy to sit down and have a chat, offer you some ideas of where to go and maybe even do some thing with you. You'll have access to our mobile numbers so we are always available to contact in case of a problem. The NeighborhoodWe live in a quiet very safe neighbourhood that is about a 2 minute walk from the main strip. There is a 24 hour supermarket on the corner, about 7 cafes within an 8 minute walk and numerous restaurants (Chinese, Vietnamese, Mexican, Russian, Japanese, Greek, Italian, and Lebanese). Most of the food is reasonably priced for Australia, however if you are from the US or Canada you might be a bit surprised with the prices (not only in our neighbourhood). Getting AroundWe are a 3 minute walk from a tram that will take you to Flinders Street Station (the Central Business District) in about 25 minutes. The train is an 8 minute walk and will get you to Flinders Street in 14 minutes. The train stops at some great locations like Prahran (Chapel Street), South Yarra and Richmond. Busses are also close and you can hop on a bus to Chadstone Mall which is the largest shopping centre in the Southern Hemisphere. Other Things to NoteWe are in a block of units so our neighbours are quite close. Everyone keeps to themselves but when staying with us please remember that there are others quite close.

Not far from the bay and exotic St Kilda, it has an immense amount of charm and amenity. I could sell real estate in this suburb I am so impressed with it! Getting AroundPublic transport includes trains, trams and buses. There is a bike lane down to the foreshore where this a track from Sandringham to Williamstown. Other Things to NoteThis apartment backs on to the train station so there maybe some noise so if you are a very light sleeper you may wish to bring ear plugs, I don't notice the trains anymore. Electric Roller Shutters have been installed on the 2 east facing bedrooms to reduce light and noise.

    The SpaceNot far from the beach and not far from the city. Plenty to look forward to. Elsternwick is a short jump from the beach for those beach people and set back a bit if you don’t like the beach in winter. The streets are lovely with a good coverage of trees and there are plenty of older character homes that add to the wonderful vibe of the area. If you fancy a nice house to renovate there are still a few around the area. There are plenty of good shops nearby and Chadstone isn’t too far away either. The area has some good restaurant but being not far from St Kilda and the city you can easily get a meal without going too far afield. If you fancy a night out, St Kilda is close by and the city is an easy trip as well. There is a tram 67, Bus, and train at your doorstep. The House is very calm, very homely and beautiful parks around. It is also very close to Elwood and St kilda if you wish to go out.

Close proximity to train station, Elwood Beach, Glen Huntly shopping village, supermarket, cafes and parks. Melbourne CBD is approximately 15 minutes by train. Farmers markets are nearby in St Kilda. Chapel Street 5 minutes by train. Walk to the cinema in Elsternwick. Walk to cafes in Glenhuntly Rd or Ripponlea. A slightly further walk will take you to the bustling Carlisle Street or take the train 2 stations if you prefer. Take the tram down St Kilda Rd to the St Kilda botanical gardens or slightly further to the Royal Botanical Gardens. Getting AroundTrain, tram and bus within 5 minutes walking distance. Other Things to NoteThere are two queen beds (1 in each room) plus a trundle with two single foam mattresses in one of the rooms for extra guests. There is linen in the cupboards for the single mattresses when required.

        The SpaceOur house is a great blend of old Edwardian charm - high ceilings in the front of the house whilst the new kitchen and family room at the back of the house is great for cooking, eating and relaxing. The new bathroom is lovely, with a spacious walk in shower. The kitchen has an electric oven and an induction cooktop. There is a TV with DVD player in the lounge room (with surround sound etc). There is also a TV with a Blue-ray player in the kitchen/family room. Our lovely little back yard has a table and BBQ for outside entertaining. There is also a "side deck" with a table and chairs - ideal for a sunny breakfast - and a seat under the front verandah. Guest AccessOur large lounge room becomes your private bedroom! You also have access to the kitchen family room, bathroom etc. The back yard and deck too of course... You will need to share the bathroom and toilet with us, but this doesn't seem to have been a problem so far. While you are staying the lounge is 100% yours; we have another TV in the family room. You even have a small fridge in your room should you want to keep cold things close at hand. Interaction with GuestsWe like interacting with our guests; it's a way of our travelling without leaving home... We are happy to provide advice about what to see, where to go, how to get there... The NeighborhoodWe are right in between the thriving areas of Elwood and Elsternwick, with a great selection of cafes and restaurants within easy walking distance. Just around the corner is Elsternwick park which is a great place for a BBQ, to walk your dog or throw a Frisbee. Elsternwick golf course (9 holes) is about 5 minutes walk (you can see it from our front gate). It's only a 10 minute walk to Elwood beach. You can also easily access Melbourne's network of bicycle trails easily; the iconic Beach Road is about 3 minutes away... Getting AroundSurrounding public transport is excellent. A bus runs past our front door. We are a 5 minute walk to Elsternwick station, from where a trip to the city only takes 15 minutes. We are also about 5 minutes from a tram stop where a more leisurely tram to the city can be caught. Other Things to NoteWe flush our toilets and wash our clothes with rain water. Victoria is in a drought at the moment; please keep your showers to 3 minutes MAXIMUM to conserve water.
