The SpaceEven before you cross the threshold, Ttekceba Villa is a total experience unlike any other Dandenong Ranges accommodation. Whether you are looking for a romantic weekend getaway, wedding night accommodation, or simply a few days escape from citylife, Ttekceba is a place of fascinating beauty and exotic inspiration. Instead of just a cosy cottage in the Dandenongs, you can indulge yourself in a sublimely spacious self-contained villa, presented in a worldly yet distinctly personal style, complete with swimming pool. Romantics, artists, lovers of beauty and nature, find treasured experiences in this very unique country hideaway. Far reaching views over rolling hills to lakes and bays can be seen from the dining room and the garden. Yet the contemporary, architect-designed villa is barely visible amidst a glorious garden of indigenous and European plants. Like a gallery, the house is designed as a subdued backdrop for an explosion of creative expression, in this case, the owner's wonderful collection of mementos and furniture from her European ancestral homes and a life full of travel. Greenery inside and out, mirrors and glass, confuse the boundaries in this deliberately sensory space. Where no curtains obstruct the view. Bath is a Roman Style tub (accommodates two people) A fully equipped kitchen is waiting for you to cook up a storm. No freezer space available Please note, A Romantic Package is available for an additional $100.00 Romantic package Earlier checkin Later checkout French sparkling wine ( a personal gift from Veronika ) Strawberry and chocolate fondue Special breakfast Bath extravagances (bath ole , bath salts ,special soap as well as a number of body creams Rose petals on the bed and in the bath and all of it in the romantic surroundings that Ttekceba is famous for And not to forget A China's money tree as a pot plant to take with you to bring you good luck and to remind you of your stay at Ttekceba Guest AccessPool 7 ac garden Bush walks Small pets Negotiable No curtains but a 7foot wall around the bedroom for your privacy Directions once you are in the grounds of Ttekceba The property is on the end of Abeckett Rd in Upper Beaconsfield ( there are 3 Abeckett Rd in the area ) Once through the gate posts go straight on for 50 m through the large urns stay on the same level Go left on the fork in the road and follow the turning circle Park your car straight on where you see the white sine WOLF PARKING leaving enough room for other cars that may need to drive around (the postman) Once you parked your car go back to the front entrance between two stone lions and onto the front door You have arrived at Ttekceba Please give me a call 10 min before you are here and I will endefer to greet you by the stone lions Interaction with GuestsIf guests are interests in the history of the property or the 7 ac garden Veronika will take you on a walk through the history of these Mc Glashen and Everest designed house ( Haide Gallery) and give you a basket of cuttings to take home if you like some of the many plants that will grow in your garden The Neighborhood400ac of virgin bush looking to a lake (managed by Parks Victoria ) Views to Western Port and Port Philip bay's Kangaroos and wallabies in the garden A bird lovers paradise Getting AroundUnfortunately no public transport Other Things to NoteThe owner, Veronika, has a love of animals as well as plants. Sadly the most exotic of her animals, a white peacock (above) was a victim of foxes some years ago. A flock of Egyptian and Chinese geese patrol the grounds in stately fashion. An abundance of more typical feathered friends stop in on their travels, including wood ducks, spoon bills, herons, rosellas, cockatoos, kookaburras, the list goes on... Several miniature shetland ponies call Ttekceba home and enjoy grazing through the garden when allowed. With 400 arces of pristine bush on one side, it's no surprise that native visitors appear quite regularly. Eastern Grey kangaroos and the smaller wallabies can visit at dusk, while echidnas, wombats and possums may be seen from time to time. Unwelcome guests to roses and citrus trees are a family of 5 deer. The powerful owl a nocturnal visiter on the roof sometimes scars guests with its lowed footprints .being the the largest of Australian owl with 65 cm and a wing span of 4 feet There are no curtains but a 3 m wall around the bedroom for your privacy

The SpaceMy home is located in Emerald within the Dandenong Ranges and is set amongst three quarters of an acre of gardens. Simply sit on the patio and just breathe in the clean mountain air and enjoy the panoramic views across the Warburton Ranges and the lovely rural views, relaxing over breakfast and soaking in that view. On a warm summer’s day you may want to sit under the canopy of the mature trees in my rear garden with a cool drink, or relax in the evening with a glass of wine on the patio. In the evening there is nothing nicer than good company, a glass of wine and just taking in the surrounds. Perhaps even some of the friendly bird life may pay a visit. . I share my home with two cats, one being a warm and friendly Russian Blue and the other a reclusive Tonkinese boy. Your stay will be in a delightful queen bedded room. A continental breakfast is provided, but you are a short few minutes drive to many of our great cafes and restaurants where you may wish to enjoy the local hospitality over a coffee, lunch or dinner. Please relax and make use of the house, with its ample living spaces, wonderful fire in winter where you are welcome to just curl up with a book or put you feet up and relax. Things I love: - The short drive to Puffing Billy Station where you can board the train. This historic and memorable journey is loved by young and old. You will be transported to another world as you take in our lush and green countryside and marvel at the tree ferns, the majestic Mountain Ash, and simply enjoying the adventure; - I am a short drive to both local restaurants, hotels and cafes; - the surrounding villages, the Dandenong Ranges National Parks, Rhododendron Gardens, William Rickets Sanctuary and many more wonderful attractions; - Cardinia Dam for a picnic with the opportunity to see the kangaroos; - Emerald Lake Park with its great picnic spots, lake, café, walking tracks and Amphitheatres; - the treasure trove of boutique shopping; - the Yarra Valley and its unique wineries; approximately 30 minutes drive away; - the many wonderful walks in the hills and surrounding National Parks; and - just relaxing in my charming home and its surrounding gardens soaking up those panoramic views of the surrounding Warburton Ranges; I welcome you to visit me as I enjoy hosting guests in my home. I am also happy to make suggestions around what my local area and surrounds has to offer. Looking forward to meeting you soon. Warmest regards, Jennie

The SpaceEmerald carriages was designed with couples in mind. It's all about providing you with a unique experience where you can connect with each other and maybe reconnect with the past. It blends the traditions of yesteryear with all of the modern conveniences you would expect such as state of the art ensuite, flat screen tv, ducted heating and air conditioning. Blended into the architecture is a lovingly restored Victorian era railway carriage. The carriage bedroom features pressed metal ceilings, gorgeous hanging brass light fittings and mirrors. The ensuite has all you could want and features a generous shower and double vanity. Connected to the bedroom via a internal passage is a private living area where you can relax talk or maybe watch a movie if the mood takes you. Guest AccessThe carriage is your exclusive domain. You have a private entrance and plenty of private space in your railway carriage. Interaction with GuestsWe find most couples come to Emerald to relax and connect with each other not to chat to their hosts! Kim and I are very friendly and sociable but we won't intrude on your privacy. We'll be available if you need us for any local knowledge or tips, otherwise we'll leave you to explore your surroundings. The NeighborhoodEmerald is situated in the picturesque Dandenong Ranges, about an hour's drive East of Melbourne. Emerald has some delightful cafes and restaurants that will tempt you out of your romantic carriage. The bakery is definitely worth a look and of course the famous Puffing Billy is never too far away. Emerald lake park is a perfect place for a hand in hand walk no matter what the season. For those who enjoy a game of golf the Emerald Country Club is literally just down the road. Getting AroundEmerald is beyond the reach of the metropolitan train line which terminates in Belgrave. Buses from Belgrave do run at regular intervals and will drop you an easy 5 minutes walk to the property. We can even arrange a pick up from Belgrave station if you don't have a car. Other Things to NoteOk, well there are a couple of interesting snippets you might like to know about your accommodation. For many years the property was run as a restaurant ( Choo-choos) and art gallery. The original owner was a very talent gentlemen called Hans Knorr. Hans was a renowned sculptor who worked with wood and stone and metal (you can (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) him!) and you can see some of Hans' work around the property. Han's wife Hilde Knorr was also a creative spirit who had 14 published works including a book that I read as a child, The Shoemakers Children. If your a fan of the classic film The Sound of Music ( Ok, (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) this one too) you will no doubt be aware of those very talented Von-Trapp kiddies. Well, at the invitation of Han's the Real Von Trapps family singers visited this Emerald property when they were touring Australian. You can stand on the spot where the Von-Trapp's performed their 'private' concert and sing 'Edelweiss' to your loved-one. There are three Tait railway carriages incorporated into the design of the building. The Tait or Red Rattlers as they were affectionately know were designed in 1910 and continue to roll around suburban rail system until the early 1980's.
