The SpaceBeing in Dream Cove is quiet, we have an uncomplicated space, right on the waterfront, with a swimming pool, surrounded by bush, close to town. The house being built of timber, unlined, has a relaxing feel about it and any breezes are captured through the louvers being able to be opened on all quarters. Guest AccessThe Swimming pool (a common area), of course, and the barbecue area (wood fired and also a common area), the beach is always available, midnight swims... all the time. it is an exclusive neighbourhood, so we do expect that respect will be shown to neighbours within reasonable limits. Interaction with GuestsAs much or as little as required. we know that people who visit Vanuatu will have questions, or perhaps even just like to have some company to chat things over in the evenings or mornings. we are socially adept and respect any privacy requirements as much as is required. we will generally be present during your stay but my office is just 1500m up the road, so any problems we are close by :-) . We have a son, a lovely son, who was born on 1st September 2013 The NeighborhoodThe neighbourhood, from the security gate at the entrance, to the boat ramp at the other end, is very quiet and peaceful, and covers pretty much exactly 1500 metres, so a walk form the front gate, to the end, and back again, is exactly 3km, for the exercise conscious. While enjoying this, you will be walking past bananas, avocado, limes, fresh chili peppers, pamplemouse (grapefruit), mangoes, coconuts etc. If walking early in the morning, or upon dusk, the skies are full of harmless fruit bats while during the day, you may see humming birds and a variety of other fauna Getting AroundWe have a limited amount of buses that are allowed into the complex, and who have access to the security code. There are a number of hire car companies around, and ample parking within the property itself Other Things to NoteInternet in Vanuatu, is not that great, and there are often drop-outs in the service at home, but a couple of patience pills later, it will work.
