The SpaceThis large two story passive solar farmhouse was designed by Deborah Coleman of Sun Homes.
Each level has its own entrance and driveway. A staircase inside the home joins the two levels.
The kitchens have coffee essentials, spices & fresh fruit. The bathrooms have all the essentials. We also have farm fresh eggs, canned goods and local items in our gift shop located in the house on the lower level. Also available are fishing poles, tackle and a few inner tubes for tubing down the river to help complete your stay.
Main Upper Level
Fry your eggs on an iron skillet in our bright open country kitchen, read by the fireplace, and stretch out in the master bedroom and bathroom with a king size bed, large soaking tub & tall shower. More sleeping in the second bedroom with a set of twin bunk beds, and enjoy the convenience of the extra half bath.
Each level has a TV, cable, and internet.
Creekside Lower Level includes..
Another fully functional kitchen, modern bath, cozy fireplace and living area. Enjoy another comfortable King size bed in the 2nd Master Bedroom which sleeps two more on a set of twin bunk beds. The second bedroom on this level has a queen size canopy poster bed.
No need to pack like you're moving. We have it all here for you. Just relax. We are tapped into a pristine artisan well. You'll want to take our water home with you.
The home is very energy efficient, uses a mini split state of the art heating / cooling system, and has baseboard heaters throughout including in the rooms.

Extras can be paid in cash or purchased on our website as needed after booking. The NeighborhoodOur location is in Poplar, NC between Erwin, TN and Burnsville, NC. We are minutes from the Unaka / Indian Grave Gap section of the Appalachian Trail and the Poplar Boat Landing, a popular fishing spot & put in for class 3 & 4 rafting. Getting AroundBe advised there is a stretch of bumpy dirt road you'll follow to reach our farm. Just take it slow.
We have loads of flyers for local attractions and some hand drawn maps to my favorite local trails and hangouts.
