The SpaceOur Red Cottage will comfortably sleep 2 couples and is on the grounds of a charming 1800's farm house along the Delaware Canal in the historic town of Erwinna, in Bucks County, PA. Both the main house and the cottage sit alongside the tow path with a beautiful view of the canal. Its a great place to be if you're seeking a quiet spot to relax and unwind, away from cars and traffic and surrounded by incredible natural beauty. The area is also perfect if you like gardens, going on nature walks, bike rides, bird watching, horseback riding and cross country skiing; while also being in close proximity to several quaint towns along the Delaware River where you have access to fine dining, art galleries and antique shops. Frenchtown, Lambertville and New Hope, PA are all close by. The cottage is a good distance from the main house and is very private. There is a great outdoor shower for use in the warmer months and outdoor patio for lounging and taking in the beautiful scenery of the property which has a stream running through the back. The inside has a kitchen equipped with a sink, refrigerator, toaster oven, microwave, hotplate, and a coffee maker. There is a sleeping loft with a very comfortable full size bed and dresser to put your clothes. Comfortable sheets and a warm duvet. Downstairs has a cozy living-room with a full size sleeper sofa, TV and a DVD player with a collection of movies and board games for guests to watch and play. Bathroom is charming and has an awesome old clawfoot tub and a shower. Guest AccessGuests have access to roam the beautiful property where there are abundance of flowers and trees , a stream and a few swings where you can sit. Getting AroundIf you are visiting from NYC there is a bus that will drop you off in Frenchtown, NJ which is just across the bridge. It is about 1/2 mile walk to the house from the town of Frenchtown. We're about 15 minutes from quaint Frenchtown, NJ to the NE, and 15 minutes from adorable Doylestown, PA to the SW. Tons of antiquing in the area, Lake Nockamixon, nearby New Hope, PA and Lambertville, NJ. Getting AroundThere's no public transit that comes all the way to our house, but TransBridge Bus Lines serves nearby Frenchtown, NJ and Doylestown, PA. SEPTA train service from Philly comes into Doylestown. There is the possibility that we could pick you up from Frenchtown, NJ or Doylestown, PA if you would like. Also, with the advent of Uber now it seems like anything is possible! Other Things to NoteNote that the apartment is accessed by one flight of outdoor stairs. The apartment is completely private and separate (located over the garage). Our main house is nearby--far enough to give you privacy, but we're available if you need anything. There is A/C available in the bedroom to keep the apartment cool in hot weather. There is a flat screen TV, but note that no channels are available--however, we have a wide selection of DVDs! The wood stove unfortunately is not functional (the metal is too distressed to light a fire in it), but it is very pretty to look at! Pool closed from September 10 until June 1.

The SpacePlease note that the house is not yet fully furnished, due to a recent change in ownership. (Note that the property is priced based on the lack of furniture). The house does come with central air conditioning, a kitchen table and chairs, 8 new organic mattresses (including 1 king), sofa and love seat, fully functioning kitchen (with all kitchenware), and deck chairs. Wireless internet included too. Guest AccessFull access to house and barn as well as entire grounds. Only 5+ acres surrounding main house are mowed regularly though. (Please note this is not a full kitchen) Guest AccessYou are invited to lounge on the upper level deck (we will grant you privacy there as well as on your private covered porch) and you may have access to a large gas grill as long as home owner is on premises to instruct you. If you have ANY ISSUES with a spiral staircase or need to bring in luggage, access can be through the main level to a regular staircase. Please don't be shy about coming through our living room. Getting AroundPlease note parking is across country road on a gravel space that runs parallel to the road. We snug up our own vehicle to accommodate 2 more cars or 1 truck. We can also arrange alternate parking for our own car if the need arises. Other Things to NoteLocated on the Delaware Canal and scenic River Rd ten miles north of New Hope and Lambertville, four miles south of quaint Frenchtown, NJ, twenty minutes to Doylestown, the house is steps from a camelback bridge to access the Delaware Canal tow path for walking or biking. 3 miles from access to River Country tubing.

Living room has fireplace, bay window with a view over the stream. WiFi, TV, swimming pool. Guest AccessGuests are invited to use the swimming pool or walk freely through the fields and forest. The main house, neighboring cottage, windmill, and farm outbuildings are off bounds. The owner would like to greet you when you arrive and show you around. Parking space is ample. Interaction with GuestsThe owner is permanently available in the house next door (# 46) if assistance is needed. Please provide an estimated time of arrival and departure so we can organize our cleaning and maintenance work around that period. The NeighborhoodThe estate is a haven of peace and quiet located in a valley with a pristine stream running through it at the end of a half-mile single-lane dirt road. One can reach the Delaware River by car in a few minutes. Things to do: Rafting or canoeing on the Delaware River is great fun in Summer. Check out "Bucks County River Country" in Point Pleasant for canoe rentals and river rafting - 5.6 miles (14 minutes) away. . One can reach Doylestown by car in 25 minutes to visit the Michener Museum, the Mercer Museum, and Fonthill Castle. New Hope is 16 miles away (32 minutes). Peddlers Village is 13 miles away (26 minutes) for an interesting shopping and dining experience - a group of outlet stores is located across the street. For morning coffee, we suggest a walk along the Delaware Canal to the Homestead Coffee Roasters and General Store located in Upper Black Eddy. There are many wonderful restaurants in the area including the Golden Pheasant Inn which is only 5 miles away (11 minutes) and the Black Bass Hotel, which is 7.5 miles away (18 minutes). Both overlook the Delaware River. Cycling is very popular here. The Delaware Canal Towpath on the Pennsylvania side of the Delaware River and the D&R Canal Towpath Ride on the New Jersey side of the Delaware River are absolutely flat and well maintained for walking and cycling. Farther from the river, local roads are small and winding with lots of hills. Historic covered bridges are an interesting feature of this area and "The Bucks County Covered Bridges Ride" (Sunday, October 23) is our big (2000 riders) cycle event in autumn. The 100 kilometer "Tour de Tinicum" takes place in May. We are only 8.7 miles (16 minutes) from a boat ramp at the 5,286-acre Nockamixon State Park Tohickon Creek where Three Mile Run and Haycock Run feed the 1,450-acre Lake Nockamixon. Rental of canoes and other craft is possible or launch your own canoe. It is a quiet place - no motor boats. Find other activities on the park's web site. Getting AroundTravel time from either New York City or Philadelphia is about 90 minutes by car. Latest word is that Uber is now operating in the area. It is possible to get to Frenchtown, NJ, or to Doylestown, PA, by bus with Trans-bridge Lines but service is quite limited. Check their web site. The SEPTA train from Philadelphia ends in Doylestown. Getting from the station in Doylestown to the cottage is difficult, as there is no public transportation. Other Things to NotePlease provide an estimated time of arrival and departure. We would like to be at the cottage to greet you when you arrive and we need to build our cleaning schedule around your plans. We want to make your stay a special experience.

The NeighborhoodWhen there are leaves on the trees, you can only see one other house from the house. It is a very private location. The neighbors have horses, and there is much farmland in the area. Beautiful, peaceful, and green. There is a herd of deer that normally comes through at twilight, and several groundhogs, swallows, and bunnies making their homes around, so don't be surprised by the wildlife! Getting AroundBy car 10 minutes from Doylestown, Lake Nockamixon, 30 to New Hope, PA, and 20 to Frenchtown, NJ. ***Easy drive from NYC and Philly.*** There is a Regional Rail line terminus is Doylestown, which is a 15 or 20 minute drive from the house. This train goes into Philadelphia, into Suburban Station, which is a hub for the city transit. Other Things to NoteThe Giant grocery store is less than 10 minutes away, and there are several restaurants in Doylestown. There's even outlet shopping nearby. It is located roughly 90 minutes from New York City to the east and Philadelphia to the west. This house is great for couples and solo adventurers. Our two room cottage on our property is cozy and charming. We are close to art and culture, parks, lakes, river and restaurants. We are 11 miles north of New Hope, Pa. and 8 miles from Doylestown, Pa. You’ll love our place because of the people, the ambiance, and the location. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers and business travelers. Limited kitchen facilities in the cottage. Pet Friendly!

There is Trans Bridge Bus/coach line that come direct to Frenchtown from NYC. Otherwise from philly the train line stops in doylestown about 30 min away. There is the DNR River path the runs all the way south to Stockton/lambertville/Trenton. Great little restaurants and coffee places in walking distant to the Studio. Love in Oven BYOB (farm to table) amazing fresh food. Open Tuesday-Sunday breakfast/lunch/dinner Early Bird for the best Latte. Open 7days a week. Bridge cafe for breakfast and lunch along the River. The Frenchtown Inn for fine dining and great grill room with bar. The National Hotel for Bar Fare food and great drinks. and if your in the mood for local late night flavor, the Rat which is the downstairs bar of the National Hotel. Oversized windows provide abundant light and serene views. This carriage house is a separate, completely private building including a king bed, full bath with walk-in shower, and gas fireplace. Two night minimum required, no pets, children or smoking permitted. Just a short walk to Tinicum Park, the Giving Pond, and the village of Frenchtown with fine dining, arts festivals, and shopping. This property is an ideal location for anyone who would like to enjoy the peace and quiet of a beautiful area.

Historic Country home in walking distance to the idealistic quaint town of Frenchtown on the Delaware River. The home is perfect for a couples retreat or to bring along the whole family. Frenchtown offers the relaxing atmosphere but with plenty to do for anyone's interests. This large airy home sleeps 8 people comfortably with 3+ bedrooms and 1.5 baths. Completely updated kitchen with an AGA stove, stainless steal appliances, oversized fridge, great counter top space and marble island with 4 stools. Perfect for preparing and serving large family meals. Large family room with plenty of seating, extra table for dining and a formal dining room complete the downstairs. Upstairs is a master bedroom with queen sized bed. Guest room with full bed, a connected children's room with 1 twin bed with a trundle and 1 full bed. The house also features a furnished stone back patio with barbeque, fire pit, above ground pool and huge backyard. Things to do in the area: The house is a short walk (3-4 minutes) from the center of historic Frenchtown filled with boutiques, spas, yoga and pilates studio, bakeries, cafes, restaurants and a playground. Antiquing: Check out the amazing Lambertville Golden Nugget Antique Market for an enjoyable outdoor experience where treasures are found every weekend! Tubing/Kayaking: Jump in the Delaware river and enjoy a relaxing day in the sun floating on the river! We have 8 tubes in our garage just waiting to be used. Don't forget to get a hotdog from the famous vendor in the middle of the river! Wineries: Enjoy the many wineries just minutes away from Frenchtown. Have a tasting or sign up for a full tour. Buy some bottles to take home or bring with you to a BYOB back in Frenchtown. Biking: Bring your bikes and ride the trails along the Delaware River down to Lambertville or up to Milford.

Situated between the Delaware River and the Delaware Canal, the setting is stunning from all directions. This is a two bedroom cottage features a large master en suite bedroom which includes a sitting area with a gas fireplace and an attached bedroom and master bath (both tub and shower and two sinks). The spacious guest bedroom is adjacent to the full bathroom with shower. Each bedroom features a queen size bed. Downstairs there is a living room with a large stone wood burning fireplace. Adjacent to the living room is a screened-in porch which is great for entertaining. The porch includes a dining table that can seat up to eight people comfortably, two sofa sitting areas and a serving bar. On the other side of the living room is a dining room adjacent to a well appointed kitchen. Next to the dining room/kitchen is a den with a gas fireplace and entertainment center. Outside the den on the rear of the house is a patio for barbecuing and an evening cocktail. Outside the den on the front of the house is another patio perfect for sunning. Across the lane is a riverfront terrace which features a table and chairs and serving area. From there you can access the river directly via stairs. Behind the house, you can access the canal and tow path directly via stairs. We provide two fishing poles, two bicycles and gear for the kayaks and canoe including life jackets.

Charming carriage house on very private 8 acres overlooking Walnut Pond. The long driveway takes you past our small vineyard, a log cabin built in 1789 and across Little Nishisakawick Creek. The carriage house is bright & cozy with lovely views & private patio great for nature watching. We live in the adjacent converted barn. 2 miles from historic Frenchtown on the Delaware River, close to Bucks County with a great variety of restaurants, miles of towpath & old river towns to explore.
