The SpacePeople looking to get away and off the beaten path are perfect for this quiet country home. Extremely large space allows for 3-4 people to comfortably stay, cook, and enjoy nature. It is an older country house, so it could best be described as rustic. Summer months can be rather hot and buggy, while winter months are very cold even inside the house. Guest AccessYou will have access to the whole house except the barn working area as well as the staff/owner's quarters which are on the premises. PLEASE LOOK AT THE HOME FLOOR PLAN AND INDICATE WHETHER OR NOT YOU WOULD LIKE TO SHARE THE TV ROOM WITH THE STAFF. Interaction with GuestsThis is up to you. Please indicate in your inquiry as to how much assistance you would like. There are also sushi lessons/lunch, juggling lessons, Japanese lessons , or a fire poi show available for a small fee upon request. The NeighborhoodIt is quiet and the people are very respectful. The outdoor area and proximity to neighbors is extremely private. It is a very unpopulated area. Getting AroundOne would have to take a ferry from Hiroshima's Ujina Port. Upon arriving on the island you would have to take a bus and walk up a hill, or take a 10 minute taxi ride from the port directly to the house (recommended).
If driving, you can drive around Kure and the Ondo bridge, or take the Kirikushi ferry from Ujina.
Other Things to NoteThere are currently two house cats living at the house with the caretaker. They can intermingle with the guests or can be sectioned off completely from guests.
Kitchen, bathroom, and toilet will be shared with the caretaker.
Also, food should be brought beforehand unless you would like to make a ten minute drive to the nearest supermarket. There is a liquor store at the bottom of the hill from the house.
