The SpaceThis lovely small home is on a 7 acre farm, 20 minutes from Bellingham in the countryside.
Listen to the coyotes at night & watch eagles & songbirds during the day. Green Views out of every window (except one which faces the barn!) There is also an outside table/chairs and a barbecue if you want to cook outdoors.
Note- wifi is DSL and slow, especially at peak times. Please keep this in mind when booking.
Visit with the 2 ponies in the field and enjoy the goldfish pond as you wander about the gardens.
A comfy queen bed in the bedroom as well as a queen-size futon on the floor that can be rolled out, double brand new sofa bed in the living room . All made up with cotton sheets & warm quilts.
Radiant under-floor heating in the bedroom & bathroom. There will be a fire laid in the wood stove & a basket of wood.
Full kitchen with double sink, small fridge, gas stove, electric kettle, blender and toaster, stocked with the basics: pans, dishes, glasses, cutlery, towels, paper towels & napkins, dish & hand soap, cooking utensils, knives & chopping board, tea pot & mugs, coffee press, salt & pepper, sugar, oil & vinegar, coffee, teas, wine glasses & corkscrew.
Shower, stocked with fresh towels & supplies:
soap, shampoo & conditioner, razors, cotton buds & pads, feminine products, toothpaste & dental floss, lotion.
Books, lots of local resources, games and puzzles for lazy days. Guest AccessStroll through the gardens, sit by the pond, eat fruit off the trees, visit with the 2 sweet ponies in the adjacent barn (if we are around & you have small children, we can give them a ride on Star, the Shetland pony), eat strawberries growing in front of the dairy, enjoy the beautiful sunsets. Interaction with GuestsWe live in Bellingham (close) & my mother, Liz, lives on this property. We are not around much but if you need anything, we are just a phone call or text away (please don't contact Liz except in an emergency) The NeighborhoodGreen, quiet, lots of wildlife, close to incredible hiking, skiing & biking. Getting AroundYou will need a car or a bike to get here as the Bellingham buses don't stop nearby.
Bellingham is 20 minutes away for all sorts of sightseeing & shopping (see our house guidebook for lots of recommendations!) or ask....
Everson is 10 minutes away for all the usual conveniences & some nice restaurants.
Lynden is 20 minutes, 30 minutes from Ferndale.
The Dairy is 25 mins from Bellingham International Airport, 2 hours from Seattle, a little less than one hour from the Mt Baker Ski Area and about 45 mins from the Canadian border. Other Things to NoteD o g s
There is a young boxer named Gypsy and she is still learning her manners! Super friendly....(URL HIDDEN)The Dairy is fairly removed from the main house so you will have lots of privacy. We do ask that you are respectful of the privacy of the main house where my mother lives(URL HIDDEN)for 2 cars is available-one in the designated "Parking area" and one in front of the dairy. If you have one car, please use the designated parking spot as when cars are parked in front of the dairy it blocks our access to the barn etc.
