The SpaceEnjoy our entire house to yourself. Two bathrooms, three bedrooms, maximum six guests. Relax in the Marquis 3-person hot tub while you enjoy the sound of the ocean and watch shooting stars at night. See pelicans and cormorants from the living room window as they roost on Castle Rock, part of the Oregon Islands National Wildlife Sanctuary. Perched on a hill overlooking Cove Beach, Oregon, Cove Cottage is part of a unique small community located inside the boundaries of Oswald West State Park. Here you can enjoy the ocean, walk to Neahkahnie Mountain or hike through old growth forests in Oswald West State Park. Located halfway between the coastal towns of Cannon Beach and Manzanita. What is the Cleaning Fee? Cleaning fee is $120. The hot tub cleaning and use fee is $79 per visit and is automatically added to the cleaning fee quoted on airbnb (that is why the cleaning fee is listed as $199). If you don’t want to use the tub, simply let us know in the comments section of your order and we will remove the fee. For your enjoyment, we empty, refill, and sanitize the tub before your arrival. Our house will be spotless when you arrive. A thorough 5-hour cleaning is performed after every rental and a cleaning inspection is made shortly before your arrival. If clean is important to you, you will be impressed. What is the Minimum Stay? Normally 2 nights, but we have a 6 night minimum in the summer (unless your reservation is within 30 days of your stay, then we can make exceptions). Summer season is June 16 - Sept 10. County lodging tax of 9.5% is already included in the price. State lodging tax of 1.8% is collected by Airbnb. About the Area Cove Beach is one of the least known beaches on the Northern Oregon Coast. During low tide, a vast sand beach is exposed at Cove Beach. Because most people don't watch the tide tables, it is common to have the entire 2-mile beach to yourself -- a rare treat not only for Oregon, but for most of the world. During high tide, there is not much sand exposed, but you can drive one mile to Arch Cape Beach where there is always sand. Or, within 7 miles you can visit Manzanita Beach (7 miles long), Hug Point Beach, Arcadia Beach or Cannon Beach -- each of which offer miles of scenic sandy beach. About the House Cove Cottage was recently completely remodeled. The 1500 square foot home features a panoramic ocean view, a large great room, 3 bedrooms, an upstairs/loft with spiral staircase, all new appliances, gorgeous wood floors, and an 1100 square foot deck made from sustainably harvested Red Balau Mahogany. We are sure you will love your stay here and we look forward to hearing your comments after visiting Cove Cottage. ~ The Aebi-Magee's Guest AccessEntire house Other Things to NoteMinimum Stay: 2 night minimum for most of year, summer 6 nights (June 16 - Sept 10), some holidays 3 nights.

You can't see much of Arch Cape from the highway, a fact contributing both to the little community's privacy and its attractiveness. Just past Arch Cape, about four miles south of bustling Cannon Beach, the coast road sweeps even further eastward, bending around the dense foliage of Oswald West State Park. Take the road through that lush green buffer, and you're there - at gorgeous Bear's Head! From the wrap-around deck of this lovely two bedroom home perched on a bluff above the Pacific, you'll have a front-row seat to waves, whales, and the beautiful and moody weather that characterizes the Oregon Coast. Please note, this listing is for one half of the property. If the separate studio is reserved, the outside spaces will be shared. But you needn't be on the deck, with its charming Adirondack chairs, and umbrella-topped dining set, to appreciate the panoramic view. Inside or out, the ocean is always there in front of you, brought to you through a wall of floor-to-ceiling windows that wrap around the home. When the chilly winds bite, throw a log in the river-rock fireplace. Make yourself some cocoa or coffee, slip a movie into the DVD player and watch a flick or your favorite show on the DirecTV cable. And don't forget to load up your iPod so you'll have some tunes to play on the iPod dock! There's also internet access, so bring your laptop along as well. The decor is colorful and edgy, with original pieces of art throughout. The interior space is seamless and modern, with leather chairs that are plush and comfortable. There's a full modern kitchen with microwave and dishwasher, flanked by a wrap-around bar where hungry diners can chat with the chef and munch on hors d'ouevres while they're waiting. The dining table, with room for six, comes with an added treat of the terrific view! If you're planning to dine out, there are 35 restaurants about 12 minutes away in Cannon Beach. Head south to Manzanita (about 7 miles; 10 minutes) where you'll find 10 eateries. Bear's Head sleeps four comfortably. Along with a queen bed and private bath, the master bedroom also comes with a great ocean view. In the other bedroom, you'll find a full bed and easy access to the hall bath with tub and shower. There's also a washer and dryer so you're not toting laundry home or looking for a laundromat. Bear's Head is all about location! Situated on one of the most picturesque and rugged parts of the Oregon Coast, there's very little traffic and the area, unlike its neighbors to the north and south, is relatively free of businesses. In winter and spring, grab the binoculars and watch for whales as they spout and breach on their migration! The Pacific Crest Trail - the popular hiking trail that runs along the coast - is right up the hill from the front door. The views from nearby Arch Cape and, a little farther, Cape Falcon, are awe-inspiring! Oswald State Park - where forest runs to water's edge - envelopes the area, offering opportunities for hiking, picnicking, or just a walk on the beach. The fishing is great in nearby (about 7 miles) Nehalem where you can cast your line the Nehalem River. And, if you just have to have that souvenir, head up to Cannon Beach where the streets are lined with boutiques, shops, and galleries. Come to where the ocean meets the forest in a beautiful and pristine surrounding. Come to Bear's Head in Arch Cape on the rugged, Oregon Coast! Additional amenities include: cable / satellite TV, washer / dryer. Okay, so you and your family or associates are looking for a place on the Coast for that reunion or meeting. You're looking for someplace quiet and private, away from the throngs milling about with their taffy and trinkets. Look no more! This modern 3-bedroom home (2 bedrooms in the main house plus a private, 1 bedroom studio with a separate entrance) is waiting for you. Located on Arch Cape - an unsullied sliver of Oregon Coast just minutes from Cannon Beach and Manzanita - it's dodged the bullet of developers and offers stupendous views from its perch on an escarpment overlooking the Pacific, including (in season) views of migrating whales! The ocean is visible from just about every corner of Bear's Head. Feel the Pacific breezes as you sip a drink out on the wraparound deck, nestled in the Adirondack chairs. Or, watch the ocean from the comfort of the plush leather furniture through the wall of windows lining the home's exterior. It's a spacious, comfortable living space with edgy decor and enough room for 8 people to stretch out and unwind. And when that storm looms on the horizon, settle in with a movie on the DVD player or VCR. There's also cable TV and free WIFI, so bring along the laptop. Unless your itinerary includes numerous trips to restaurants in nearby Cannon Beach and Manzanita, plan your meals and bring supplies; Arch Cape has one restaurant. Bear's Head has a full kitchen, beautifully appointed with modern appliances including a dishwasher and microwave. There's extra room for storing those cold things in the pantry through the swinging doors where you'll find a large refrigerator/freezer. (The washer and dryer are in here as well.) Enjoy an ocean view with your meals at the table with room for 6. There's room for 4 more on the padded stools at the marble, wraparound counter. On those days when the sun smiles on the Oregon Coast, fire up the gas grill on the deck and gather 'round the umbrella covered patio furniture for a barbeque. Combining the 2 bedrooms in the main house with the potential for 3 in the attached studio (available separately!) gets you 8 people bedded down comfortably. The master bedroom comes with a queen bed, amazing ocean views, and a decor that might challenge the classically prone art lover. The other bedroom has a full bed, equally fun art, and easy access to hall bath with tub and shower. The studio - with its own private entrance and a kitchenette - has 1 bedroom and a comfortable futon with a memory foam mattress. Enveloped by Oswald West State Park and flanked on the north by Hug Point State Park, Arch Cape - and this home - enjoy a privacy and tranquility you won't find in many of Oregon's Coastal cities. Right outside your door and up the hill is the Pacific Crest Trail, the very popular and very long avenue for hikers that runs from British Columbia to Mexico (2,663 miles!). A much less ambitious yet still rewarding hike awaits you in nearby Oswald West State Park where you can take a number of short hikes to Cape Falcon Overlook with its awe-inspiring view of the Pacific! There's also a beach that's popular with boogie boarders and places to picnic. Anglers: Head south about 7 miles to nearby Nehalem where you can try your luck in Nehalem River or arrange a trip out to deeper waters. There's also a great winery in Nehalem with a tasting room where you can sample the local vintages. And, if its trinkets and taffy you want, then Cannon Beach and Manzanita with their shops and restaurants await you! For some peace and quiet, a great view, and a comfortable and fun place to stay on the Oregon Coast, reserve this lovely home in tranquil and picturesque Arch Cape. ***Currently listed with RE/MAX *** Additional amenities include: cable / satellite TV, washer / dryer.

The SpaceThe house has 2 bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms. There are two living rooms, one upstairs off the kitchen and one downstairs in the room with the woodstove. The downstairs living room has a futon for added space to sleep. The location is private (at the dead end of a road). There's a grass front yard and a private side yard with a fire pit. The second floor deck has a decent view of the ocean (gas grill is in the closet off the deck), a nice place to watch the sunset. Beach access is about 800' from the house (down 2nd Ave and then down Columbia Street). Access can be difficult for some guests. The closest access requires navigating a steep bank that has stones and driftwood stairs (about 10’). There is another more gradual access just to the south (one house down) that has a grassy path, but you still have to climb over some driftwood. There are two other access points to the north. One has newly built stairs and the other is nearly flat. This section of the Oregon Coast has round blue rocks above the high tide mark (see photos). These can be difficult to walk on. Sand is below these rocks. House amenities are described below, but please note that the house does not have a microwave or dishwasher. These are things our family has lived without for many years, so we have not made it a priority to have them at this home. The NeighborhoodThis house is ideal for people looking to experience the beauty of the Oregon coast without all of the crowds of nearby Cannon Beach or Manzanita. The beach near the house is never crowded, the house offers a very private location, surrounded by beautiful forests and a seasonal creek. The home was built in 1997, so while it may not be cabin-cozy, it is very functional and comfortable, and the location provides a great home base from which to explore the area. When we are there, we rarely leave. We park our cars and spend our time in the woods, sitting by the ocean or playing in the yard. Other Things to NoteFalcon Cove is a quiet community without many vacation rentals. We have great neighbors who have chosen to live here because it is secluded and private. We endeavor to respect our neighbors by being thoughtful about noise and traffic. ****Please drive slowly through the community. Many neighbors have pets or small children, so we ask that guests be thoughtful about how fast they drive on the roads around the house (10 MPH please). Pets may be allowed under certain circumstances. We have two dogs who enjoy the area as much as we do. If we do permit pets, we ask that you bring pet towels and try to clean muddy paws before entering the house (light carpet in many rooms). We also ask that all pets be leashed when walking through the community and that all pet waste is picked up from the property, the beach and from any neighbor's property. Firewood is provided, but we ask that guests use it responsibly. A lot of rentals require that guests bring their own wood. We try to maintain a good supply of dry wood, but if you plan to have camp fires every night, we ask that you also bring some of your own wood to ensure there is enough left in the stack for the next guests.

***Currently listed with RE/MAX ***

With modern style and custom artwork, this unique studio retreat is a lovely alternative to overpriced hotel rooms! Its location is hard to beat for those who like peace and quiet as well as convenience; the surrounding village of Arch Cape is sleepy and peaceful, but all the boutiques, galleries, and eateries of Cannon Beach and Manzanita are less than ten minutes in either direction. Of course, the nearby state park is full of hiking trails to explore, picnic tables to enjoy, and has one of the region's best surfing beaches. And since the home is now pet-friendly, you don't need to leave your four-legged family members behind! In any case, this oceanfront vacation home makes a wonderful home away from home on the Oregon Coast. ***Currently listed with RE/MAX ***

This 2 bedroom one bathroom family cabin was hand built by the present owners in the late 1950's. There is a cozy guest house next to the cabin with washer/dryer and another double bed. Over the years the cabin has been improved and restored to provide year round comfort, but still retains its rustic simplicity. It has a unique setting on a cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean, with the wooded hills of Oswald West State Park behind. It is a stunning and wild spot, with little sense of other human presence. An American Bald Eagle nests nearby and flies over regularly. Mice and raccoons also visit. A fifteen minute walk takes you to the secluded and often rocky Falcon Cove beach while a ten minute drive provides all the village pleasures of Manzanita and Cannon Beach. Please note that the cabin continues to be used as a vacation home by our family. We live close by, and do much of the cleaning and maintenance ourselves. We limit the number of guests to six, and ask you to keep the place tidy. Please let us know if you plan to bring a dog, or have more than four guests as our extra charges reflect the added wear and tear as well as the extra time it takes to clean. Keywords: Cabin
