The SpaceWe live in a big comfortable 2 story house set back from the road. We are a quick drive or a longer walk to the Snoqualmie River where floating, fishing, and beach time can be had. Our home has a lovely patio with a hot tub, fire pit, fountain, and fresh herbs all set for your enjoyment.
Our two dogs Rufio (the little one) and Trooper (the big one) are two lovable characters. Rufio will fetch all day and Trooper is always happy to snuggle. The dogs are good with kids, too.
Our home is laid back and has a full living room for movie watching or chatting and a dining room table that can seat 6 for dinner and wine. Guest AccessGuest are welcome to the majority of our downstairs space. We have one extra bedroom that is our roommates that is off limits but otherwise the downstairs is yours. We have two bathrooms, a full kitchen, living room, dining room, laundry room and gear space. If you are traveling to enjoy the incredible beauty of the Cascades we have plenty of space to hang and store gear.
Guests are also welcome to enjoy our patio, hot tub, and garden. The Patio has a fire pit, fountain, and many edible plants including basil, mint, strawberries, and tomatoes. Our small garden has a variety of flowers including roses, lavender, and berries. You are welcome to all.
We have a three car wide driveway that you are welcome to park in. We live in a safe neighborhood and have never had any issues with cars in our driveway or on the street. Interaction with GuestsNick and I are happy to help you while you are here, although we do often leave on weekends and work during the week. We have a key box set up and the dogs are friendly so we can accommodate coming and going while we are away. We are generally happy to leave you alone or chat over drinks, whichever is best for you.
We do have a wealth of knowledge about the surrounding mountains and rivers and are happy to give tips or maybe join you on your adventure! For the experienced skier, lucky enough to hit the Cascades during winter, Nick might just give you a tour of the Alpental Backcountry. The NeighborhoodWe live in the community of Spring Glen tucked between Fall City and Snoqualmie Falls. Our community is safe and generally keeps to itself. There are small farms, wine tasting, and a small community airport across the road. People here love the outdoors, music, and art, frequent local businesses, and come together to help each other out when needed. Getting AroundDriving is pretty mandatory where we live, although there is a local shuttle that you can take to and from our house to nearby towns such as North Bend, Fall City, and Carnation. I don't suggest relying on this, though. There are multiple Park and Rides within 15 miles of our house with buses that can pop you into Seattle very easy. This is how I commute every day and I highly suggest it. Once into Seattle you can take a bus, train, or boat to wherever you want to go.
