Rathmoy Lodge is located on the edge of the Rangitikei River and White Papa cliffs. It is the perfect place for relaxing days with friends or family, functions or corporate events. The lodge is designed for self-catering, anyway catering can be arranged. It has a very spacious enclosed deck with a river stone fire place creating a great atmosphere for an intimate dinner or a private party. There is a full equipped kitchen and a BBQ available. All beds required will be fully made with linen, blankets and towels. Beds can be prepared as king double under request. Laundry appliances provided. There is a range of exhilarating activities right on the door step; driven, walked-up & simulated pheasant shooting, clay bird shooting, fly fishing, cricket, glow worms, archery. The property is one hour drive north to Ohakune (ski field), fifty minutes south to Palmerston North and five minutes drive to Hunterville which has a service station, cafe, general store, two pubs, and variety of smaller stores. We also have Highland Cows. The NeighborhoodRural sheep beef and dairy farms. Kimbolton Village is 10 minutes drive away, it has a pub and cafe. The SpaceThis is a historic hotel, first built in the 1800s. Burnt down and rebuilt in the 1960s. We have refurbished it, creating a warm country hotel atmosphere, with many old photos and memorabilia. Single and double rooms available, with or without en suite. Although on State Highway 1, this has a very country feel about it. Very relaxing. Getting AroundWe are on SH1. Buses travel north and south. For local sightseeing, we have 2 10 speed bikes. We can drop you off at adventure tourism locations in our courtesy coach. Other Things to NoteOne of NZ's 'must play' golf courses is 5 minutes up the road.

The kitchen is well equipped. There is a fridge with small freezer for guests to use. There is a spacious dining area which leads to the deck where there is also a table and chairs you are welcome to use. Deck also has spa on it. A few rooms are for our use only but you have most of downstairs to use. Hair dryer available, linen and some toiletries. The SpaceUse of the full cottage and 5 acres. The grounds around the house have been finished and the lawn is growing, there is also a large amount of gravel area and space for car parking and children to play as well as the paddocks around the cottage. Internet is available through inspire net with 1 day, weekend, monthly packages available for purchase on arival. Guest AccessYou can wander around the 5 acres that is currently being developed, there are new fences going up and some planting of trees. Feel free to explore. Treat all wire fences as live, some are electric to keep stock in. Interaction with GuestsUsually we are only 5 minutes away, you are welcome to contact us if you need any information on the surrounding area. The NeighborhoodOur neighbour's are very friendly, they are not directly next to you but on farms close by, you may see or hear them moving stock from time to time. Getting AroundThe river is a five minute drive down the hill. Turn left onto Rangitikei Valley road and along to the gravel pit on right about 400 meters once you hit the gravel road. Park in the gravel pit area or you can drive down to the river if dry but please close any gates you open to go through as there may be stock In the paddocks. Feilding town is 20 minutes drive away and has a lot to offer tourists. Farmers market, boutique cinema, cafés and restaurants also the largest stock sale yards in the southern hemisphere (Fridays) Wellington is a 2 & 1/2 hour drive south and Mt Ruapehu is 1.15 hour drive North. Other Things to NoteBBQ is only for out side use and well away from the house please. The out door furniture can be set up out side but please ensure it is not left out in the rain.

The SpaceOur flat is at the back of our quarter acre section in a quiet neighbourhood. The sunny lounge and kitchen look over our back lawn and garden. There is some kids play equipment and a sandpit that you are welcome to use. The high lounge windows look over a paddock that often has sheep, with a good view of the railway line. The flat has a bedroom, large lounge, kitchen, shower and hand basin, external access toilet. Lounge has a TV, DVD, video player, and TiVo (DVR) which contains some prerecorded TV. Guest AccessYou have access to all parts of the Flat and backyard. Interaction with GuestsIf you need any assistance please let us know - we are happy to help. You can text or just knock at the door of our house that is in front of the flat. The NeighborhoodFeilding is a rural town that has almost all you could want - Makino Aquatic Centre, mini golf, museum, parks with native and exotic aviaries. It has boutique shops as well as many of the major shops - e.g. Pizza Hutt, KFC, McDonalds, The Warehouse, Shanton, Postie, Bunnings, Mitre10, New World and Countdown supermarkets (to name a few). Also Caltex, Gull, and BP Petrol Stations with LPG. And Palmerston North city is only a 20min drive away. Getting AroundOur Flat is 10-15 minutes walk from the intercity bus stop situated at the Feilding Railway Station. If you are coming by bus we may be able to arrange pick up. Intercity Trains only stop at Palmerston North Railway Station. Feilding has a taxi service, Ph(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN). If you are biking we can store you bike in a lockable shed. Other Things to NoteWe have small children, so care with cars is required. We asks all guest to park on the front lawn or the road. Breakfast is Continental - cereals, milk, fruit, yogurt, toast and spreads. Beds are a Queen bed in bedroom, with Single bed, old divan (folding couch), airbed in lounge. We have a portacot and highchair available on request. For children under 2 yrs, there is no charge if providing your own portacot and linen. We have recently repainted the inside, with just the windows and toilet yet to be done. Toilet is external access (by front door of flat).

Shower. Gas hot water. Outside eco toilet. Outside fire bath. Inclose deck areas. Outdoor brasier. Large section with established gardens. Lots of tent space. Close to main road very easy access. Very green. Also theres lot of toys, a pram, mini porta cot, kids dvd's. 2 manTent, 2 x kayaks, camping single bed. Guest Access48 hours notice prior to booking! Best to arrive with some day light so we can show you around. Especially if you don't have much off the grid experience. You will need to be shown around & how it all works. Boast world class fly fishing, tramping, adventure sports white water rafting, bungy jumping, skiing to name only a few. Swimming location are idillic in summer months 5 mins drive away. Skiing best in New Zealand come winter. World class golf course. Close to river, mountain,s, Taihape, rangers, lakes. So much to see & do. Mangaweka its self is a New Zealand heritage town - old main street. Lots of art & artist. Getting AroundYou will need a car. Other Things to NoteMy house is hand made! Skyline garage convert all lined & insulated with fire place. Longdrop for a toilet. Hot gas water. All runs off generator. There is a small solar panel plug to charge phone, run fan/tv ect. Solar lights. Tv but limited as its runs on power. We will have some petrol available upon your arrival but that will also be expected to be replaced at your expense. There are jury cans in shed. Please be-careful if you don't know how to use a generator please get Neighbours to help. Any question just ask. Also if you need you can use washing machine next door at prior arrangement at an extra cost.

Feilding has pretty preserved Edwardian streetscapes lined with free car parking. Discover modern shops, gyms with visitor memberships, supermarkets, pharmacies, a busy medical centre, hairdressers, beauty treatments, takeaways, restaurants and cafes alongside boutique offerings. Rolling hills, big vistas and pastoral scenes complete with quaint turn of the century churchyards greet you on your drive to ours. Getting AroundOur rural location means you'll need independent transport arrangements. Buses and trains travel to both Palmerston North and Feilding from main centres. Both Feilding and Palmerston North are flat, and easy to walk around. It’s a pretty drive to 2114 whichever direction you arrive from. Green rolling pastures are dotted with deciduous trees, grazing sheep, beef cattle and grain crops. There’s a network of "off the beaten track" rural backroads to explore by cycle, motorbike or car. Other Things to NoteAnimals and Livestock We have a friendly farm dog and a very timid (almost invisible cat). Neither is allowed inside your apartment. The SpaceThe room is light and sunny with a great view of the rural setting. The bed is a double, comfortable and all linen (including towels) is provided. While the house is over fifty years old it has been renovated with a new kitchen and bathroom. The bathroom is shared and there is a separate toilet. The house gets amazing sun through its many windows and has a heat pump for in winter so you won't get cold. The house is unique in it's feeling of remoteness and being in a rural setting whilst being right on the edge of Sanson village and just off State Highway 1 - your route either south to Wellington or North to Taupo/Auckland. In fact Sanson is also where you would drive through if going to east to Hawke's Bay or west to Taranaki. Guest AccessYou're welcome to take a short walk on our farm and through the paddocks/fields - just have a chat to me before hand so I can tell you where to go. Alternatively, feel free to relax in our living room or use the kitchen or laundry (and washing line). Interaction with GuestsI work on our family farm and as the work fluctuates depending on the season I may or may not be there in the evening during your stay. My housemate Will may be around depending on his work. We are happy to leave you to your own devices or help you out with any travel tips or information about the farm or area. The NeighborhoodSanson is a small village with everything you need for a quick stopover. My house is within very easy walking distance of Viv's Kitchen and further down the road is another cafe, takeway shop, coffee cart, petrol station, second hand book shop and more. If you're staying on a Sunday there is the local market with fresh fruit and vegetables and more. Getting AroundThere is a bus stop in Sanson. Other Things to NoteAs this house has recently been moved on to the farm it is on a new street which may not show up on your GPS. William street is off Drew Lane which is off Farmer street.

Our neighbourhood is made up of lifestyle properties ranging from 2-10Ha backed by larger Dairy, Beef-sheep and Deer farms. Weekend markets, Country cafes close by. Guest AccessGuests will have use of a large bedroom including two bedside cabinets, double bed, a desk and occasional chair. The household lounge is open plan with TV, wireless internet and dining table which guests are welcome to use with us if they wish to prepare or use internet socially. There is a large North facing deck and lawn if guests wish to sit outside. Arrival and departure times by negotiation in advance according to day of week as we also work away from home; worst case scenario see check-in. Interaction with GuestsGuests are welcome to relax in our lounge in the evenings, or work/use laptop at the dining table; otherwise there is a desk in the room if peace is required. We are not offering kitchen use at this time as most folk arrive and go out for dinner. The NeighborhoodThe Woolshed is great country cafe about 1.5km from Brosnacroft down SHW1. Cabinet and Menu, very good coffee/drinks and nice converted building with outside space, childrens play area with fenced yard and car park. Sanson has conveniences like the church cafe, the Fish'n'chip, Z-petrol station and 4-Square mini-mart, as well as galleries/gift shops - in addition to this 5km down the road Bulls has petrol stations, multiple takeaway options (Thai, Sushi, Roast, Kebab, Mint Bar, Bakery, McDonalds, Indian, Mothered Goose Cafe) and a bus station. Nearby Feilding offers many shops, garages, banks, bars, eateries and supermarkets. Palmerston North is a provincial city including an airport which connects to international routes, various tertiary institutes and the animal teaching hospital at Massey. Most of the nightlife in the region is centred in town. Getting AroundDriving your vehicle to any of the surrounding towns/cities is very easy from this location, if you have hired a vehicle it can be returned by arrangement at Palmerston North Airport. There is a bus stop on the main road in Sanson so its worth inquiring with your bus company at the time of booking a fare if you can be picked up or dropped off there. Brosnacroft is only 980m from the main road along an easy walk on a public walking path. Cyclists are regularly seen riding along the main route and our road to take the back route through Mt Biggs, Holcombe or Feilding. Other Things to NoteGuests will require their own bathroom accessories please. Coins are required in Palmerston North for parking (1 hour free in the Plaza). Farmers Market in Fielding on Friday mornings for fresh produce along with stock markets.

    The SpaceThis cottage is ideal for a long weekend escape, and with plenty of activities in the area, it is also a great extended holiday destination. If you are in the area for an event, you are also welcome to stay for a single night. The cottage was built in the 19th century as the Cookhouse, so was home to the person who cooked for all those who lived and worked on the farm. The cottage is spacious with a huge kitchen, a Kent fire and an open fire. We are located less than 15 minutes from Feilding, about 10 minutes from Bulls, and about 25 minutes from Palmerston North. Manfeild in Feilding is only around 15 kilometres away. Ideal location for those going to the Central Districts Field Days. There is a golf course about 6 kilometres away, and we can provide you with access to the river for swimming. Both Bulls and Sanson offer fantastic antique shops and cafes and are within a 5 - 10 minute drive. Mt Lees Reserve is close by and has a 1-2 km well-maintained track through native bush.
