Life at the Yellowstone River Cabin moves at your own pace and provides a relaxing refuge from the hectic outside world
Settle in to the Lewis 'n Clark Cabin with and extensive deck and screened in porch.. Located 70 miles from both Billings and Bozeman, our 800 acre ranch has almost 2 miles of Yellowstone River frontage with plenty of big trout opportunities! Choose your fishing sites between the famed Yellowstone, Boulder or Stillwater Rivers, mountain streams, lakes, or the Paradise Spring Creeks . Return at days' end to relax in your comfortable cabin, furnished with a western charm.
Other activities we offer are: biking, riding, fishing and floating with or without guides, swimming, river tubing, white water rafting, hiking, bird watching, and abundant wildlife viewing. In our nearest town of Big Timber, you will enjoy gourmet dining, shopping, Art Galleries, Rodeos, golf and tennis.
Our cabin is great for families and kids alike. Children love our zip Line at the swimming pond, and they can practice catching fish in the children's fishing pond. Drive to Yellowstone Park through the Paradise Valley and return to your vacation home via the scenic Beartooth Mts.
We offer you and your family an "Off the Beaten Path" escape and a perfect spot for your Montana vacation. Also, we cater to couples who want privacy, scenery, rivers, making their own schedules, and even keeping up on the internet!
If you want to bring extended family, rent our Harrison Homestead too, which is in the National Historic Register and sleeps another 8 for a total of 13 at our ranch. Great for family reunions and gatherings with cousins!
Fishing guides: Our 3 sons run Sweetwatertravel Co., an international fly fishing concern, and provide excellent and experienced guides for our clients. It is recommended that you hire guides early in your week for wade fishing, river floats, or jet boating so that you will learn how to fish our local waters.
We also can put you in touch with a large family ranch, where you can ride, so basically staying at our ranch is like having your own private dude ranch to enjoy with tons of privacy! Also, hiking in the nearby mts. is excellent and can be done on your own--we are happy to give advice on trails.
Arrange your activities to suit your own time schedules, and don't forget to relax in the peace and quiet. High speed internet is free. Also, bring your binoculars to view the deer, antelope and birds that visit daily.
Check in 4pm and check out 9:30am .(exceptions are possible)
